There's actually a Chinese saying "薄如蝉翼", which is literally translated into as thin as cicada wings. This is saying used to describe something that is thin, light and brittle, which might be the reason that the screen is compared to cicada wings.

I dont get all the rage. Ive been playing on my refurbished xbox I bought on 2014 and after the day one patch it runs normally, of course there are still fps drops here n there. And I get it the game does have a lot of density and honestly I prefer access to a buggy version rn than having to wait yet another year for optimization delays.

Great video, not only does he educate the viewers about cool innovative products, but he also gives us a very informative video about cicadas. I truly didn't know where he was going with it, but man, that short detour was worth the ride and probably provided a solution to improving their product in the near future.
Thank you! I've been thinking this the entire time that outward folding phones are a mistake. You can't even put a case on them and if you drop it while its folded, good luck. But I've seen so many comments saying that outwards folding phones were better because of the amount of usable screen on the front. It's nice to see a big tech CZcamsr say this

I too believe the scrollable screen is the way to go. Inside fold you have to worry about the crease that's caused by closing it in on itself. Outside folds you have to worry about the hump that's created from opening it outward. Scrollable seems like it would be Goldilock.

The LG Wing grabbed my attention the most this year. If the internals were more impressive I wouldn't have hesitated to buy it. I'm really looking forward to version 2 with the hopes they bring it with flagship specs.

The problem I had with old Nokia bricks was that it was really hard to accidentally click something but with touchscreens now if I'm not careful I can accidentally hold the phone so wrong my finger rests on some button that deletes my hard drive but yet still the back of them is still safe.
I'm looking forward to what random buttons I can touch without even knowing it with touchscreens on both sides!

As someone with small hands, I'm really excited about the clamshell. Growing up I had one of the those faux-Razors that would super satisfying to flip open and shut - I think there's a smartphone version. Plus as a woman our pockets are tiny and I feel like I'm running out of options for top-tier smartphones that can be compact. We need an iPhone 12 mini for Androids (I'm on the Pixel 3 right now)
