      Have you started to question if gazer beam was working together is he dead or was he always alive I mean it explains the minion costumes and if gazer beam was the inspiration then why was he still a bad guy or maybe he was taught by gazer beam to do evil or maybe good but pride took over for both and became villains and gazer beam was betrayed thus the scene or maybe it was planted by him and used a fake since by the time he’s dead and no blood he would be just gone no bone or cloth and ether gazer beam never came or he work or even taught Syndrome (sorry I was thinking out loud)

    Mirage wasn't tailing Bob -- she was tailing Lucius (Frozone), but she was always on the lookout for Bob, since Bob was Syndrome's white whale.
    Perhaps Simon put the KRONOS sign in the cave, along with the remnants of his suit, so that certain heroes -- once lured to the island -- might find the cave, and that would lead them to investigate further in the island, and... Syndrome takes them down.
    I kinda wish the Screenslaver was Simon, now that I've seen this. Maybe, IF there's a part three, Simon would be the big villain.

      @TheFangirlWatches  Před 3 lety +10

    Sorry if this is EXTREMELY long but personally I don’t think Gazerbeam is or was a villain. In the deleted scene, Simon was talked into being a super hero but it was also stated he came to love the job and the name Gazerbeam.
    Quote from Mr Incredible at his eulogy “We had a club, the first club that wanted him to join. And he accepted, all of it. Us, the outfit, the name Gazerbeam, he even came to say it with a strange cry and in time he came to be a first class fighter and for a while he fit in, we all did. When it ended and we all had to go underground, he used his alter ego to fight for superhero rights but he had trouble adapting to civilian life, as common for all superheroes. He got used to being useful.”
    To me that just seems like a good person being upset that their job was taken away from them so abruptly due to misunderstandings and fear.
    With your point on his first idea for this name being “viewpoint”, personally I didn’t take that as him having a different point of view, I took it as pun on his name since he had laxer vision aka “view” and “point” as in a laser pointer.
    And when it comes to money and being a good person, in his NSA file it says that his alter egos job is an “inner city pro Bono Lawyer.” This to me also points him in the direction of being a genuinely good person because the definitions a pro bono lawyer is
    “Lawyers who serve the public interest by providing free legal services to those in need do so on a pro bono basis. The provider is thought to be imparting a benefit for the greater good, instead of working for profit.”
    So that means that he genuinely liked helping people and was helping people way before he was even a super, and if he’s an attorney in general and is educated in law, what isn’t to say he couldn’t have been a lawyer for profit in other cases to make an honest living without syndrome?
    And him being quiet doesn’t really lead to him being evil or anyone else who is quiet to be evil. Mr Incredible also said in the deleted scene “he was a serious guy, an oddball he was not naturally engaging, he didn’t really understand jokes or how to set people at ease.” “Add these unsettling eyes to a less than ingratiating personality and you have an outcast.” This honestly doesn’t really make him evil, this just seems like a mixture of personality traits and that’s fine, some people are just naturally serious and socially awkward. Like who knows Simon might have been on the spectrum even? And Gazerbeam himself said in his NSA interview that he “averts his gaze” because if he stared at anything too intently it would “burst into flames.” So he tries to look away to stop him from accidentally hurting someone. (And that also seems like a good person thing to do to me) and he also stated that “many people would see that as silly, daft or stupid.” So all of that seems like a misunderstanding on other peoples parts, not his and I genuinely understand why he would fight so hard to bring supers back. You go from being so misunderstood in society to finally finding a group of friends that accepts you for who you are, your differences and helps you come out of your shell and that gets taken away so fast and in such a hateful manner because of more misunderstandings from others that you can’t control. I’ve often felt like I don’t belong in many places for who I am so I can kind of relate to the situation.
    And for the password thing... let’s face it. Simon Paladino was an absolute nerd 😂 and he was a trained super that dealt with villains all the time and probably had to break in and find info about villains on a day to day basis. And as a lawyer he probably could pick up on human nature and body language to sense something a up with Syndrome. That’s probably how he got his password Kronos.
    For me there’s so much evidence that points to Simon being a good guy at heart and if anything Gamma Jack would most likely be a villain because in his NSA file it said that he was “prone to tyrannical / megalomaniac impulses.” And that he “ Believes supers to be a “superior race”” and he needed “close A level monitoring.” By the NSA.
    But I dunno maybe I looked to deep into this but that’s my theory on the subject 😅

    I was under the impression that Gazerbeam became a lawyer, which would have provided him the income stream necessary to file those lawsuits. Remember that some years passed before the Incredibles movie takes place giving him ample time to save up the money as well as make the necessary legal connections to get his lawsuits heard.

    • @TheFangirlWatches
      @TheFangirlWatches  Před 3 lety

      Even if Simon were a lawyer, though, filing lawsuits are cheap, and the amount of prep and court time would prevent him from taking any other clients. Which means, he'd have no one paying him to eat/live, even if he waived all of his own legal fees.

    • @ShiftyKen08
      @ShiftyKen08 Před 3 lety +1

      @@TheFangirlWatches I have to disagree; lawyers commonly have more than one client at a time, I believe its called a case load, as well as paralegals to help with that load so he wouldn't be by himself in his endeavor. Plus, with time to save, he could have anticipated the court costs, legal fees and whatnot. Also keep in mind that although Mr Incredible saw that Gazerbeam was missing, it doesn't reveal how much time passed since he went missing and when the actual story was printed. The idea that he helped Syndrome then one betrayed the other would make a lot of sense as well as your theory that there could be multiple instances of super hero bones placed in areas randomly for others to find drawing them back in. But if Syndrome knew or thought Incredible was still alive why would he want him to find out the plan knowing he was probably the only one who might have a chance at stopping the Omnidroid? Then again, maybe the plan was to show him up in front of the people so he could be crowned the greatest hero ever. This is fun!

    So just a few weeks ago, I made a theory on my Disney Facebook group that syndrome was trying to figure out who mr incredible was. So he killed two birds with one stone by making his robot stronger while getting information from the supers/ finding the bread crumbs to mr incredible. Eventually he figured out who gazerbeam is and understands that he was really close to Mr Incredible before the mandate happened (gazerbeam was in the front row seat of their wedding).
    Just so happens that after gazerbeam ends up missing, mr incredible is found.
    I actually like the theory that he was working with Syndrome because both of them would help out each other get supers working again. BUT syndrome crossed the line going after mr incredible. Gazerbeam tried to stop him. But used his last strength to send one more message to his close friend to save him.

    • @bearbbb12
      @bearbbb12 Před 2 lety +3

    I will say, when it comes to Gazerbeam needing money to support Supers and their rights, there isn't anyone who would want to help, but the person who loves Supers the most. That being, Edna. She's a rich designer that helps all the supers with things like suits, vehicles, and things of that source. If anyone benefits from the Supers being in business, it's her. She could definitely be a benefactor towards his expenses. He could have also had a successful business life outside of working as a Super. At least enough to go through the process.

      My guess, and I might be wrong, is that a eulogy would have taken place AFTER the end of the Incredibles 2, when Supers are legal again. Without that law being repealed, I don't think everyone would be allowed to attend public events in suits. At least, I'd say even posing as a hero was against the law, because otherwise heroes could turn into birthday part clowns that you rent for an event. But, the movie is so vague on that end of things that it's hard to say.

  • @bearbbb12
    @bearbbb12 Před 2 lety +1

    Eh honestly I personally don’t believe this theory holds up like Gazerbeam not being willing to be a hero at first doesn’t give real evidence to him having a darker motive since it could just be that it’s a new thing to become a hero or the idea that he began to have a dark side after becoming a hero cause really it’s more implied he was hard to work with at the least and egotistical at the most.
    Also the possibility that Gazerbeam was an advocate for supers to come back for selfish reasons ; again doesn’t really hold up very well that he’s “evil” it kinda just leads back to having an ego/wanted to be useful and even then that doesn’t really seem to hold weight since it really could just be that he has at the very least decent intentions.
    I also have to say that just because, Gazerbeam has range powers to attack syndrome it certainly doesn’t mean that Gazerbeam has a huge advantage and that he couldn’t lose to syndrome.
    The financial thing I feel doesn’t hold up enough either casue I don’t think Gazerbeam had to have so much money to be an advocate for supers. He doesn’t have to dedicate too much money and time to be an advocate. He very well could’ve just done the best he could.
    It’s a fun theory but, honestly I can’t really see it carrying enough evidence to make Gazerbeam a villain.

Especially when you start doing sequels, like Incredibles 2 or the Toy Story films, because things that got dropped from the first movie aren't being considered at all when they write the other movies, so those deleted scenes often make less and less sense as time goes on.

    The scene was deleted from The Incredibles 2, because it's unknown if those Supers really died, or they just ran a very advanced simulation on the battles.
    Considering the amount of Supers, and the order when Gazer Beam was 'Eliminated'. It would have would looked bad on Bob Parr / Mr. Incredible, if he didn't notice a good amount of his friends had went missing.
    I mean, when Gazer Beam was said to be missing, Bob didn't go… 'Not again. Where have they gone to?'
    And yes, the news probably was implanted, probably by the Kronos computer itself.

  • @smartfrenandromax6651
    @smartfrenandromax6651 Před 2 lety

    See Ali Baba & the 40 thieves along its cave's "Open Sesame" password. It's possible Buddy, and maybe also Gazer Beam, found an old or even ancient technological marvel. And "kronos" is its unalterable password, at least unalterable to them.
    Gazer Beam might have been either an Indiana Jones / Henry Jones, Jr or Batman / Bruce Wayne type of character. More interested on observing, hence the Viewpoint / Gazer Beam name.
    After founding it, he then used its power to fund his quest to return the Supers into action.
    It is unknown on how Buddy find out about.
    But most likely he find out about it by following Gazer Beam.
    Then something happened to Gazer Beam (an experiment gone wrong?), and he released its control to Buddy or to who ever who find the "kronos" password.
    Buddy then used it, and pretty much left Gazer Beam's body there.
    And it happened… around a decade ago.

  • @NeroLeMorte
    @NeroLeMorte Před rokem

    Rather then reveal screenslaver to be this random woman in incredibles 2 who's father died because superheroes were too late to save her father they should have revealed screenslaver to be simon / gazerbeam who planted a fake corpse and faked his death during the first incredibles movie and instead was working under syndrome the entire and wanted revenge against mr incredible for giving him the codename gazerbeam instead of viewpoint and against the rest of the superhero world by making them look incapable as screenslaver.
    You could even say the whole kronos password bob found during the first movie was also planted by him so he could manipulate another hero like bob to take down syndrone so that he could takeover syndrome's facility and tech and become the main villain in charge.

  • @smartfrenandromax6651
    @smartfrenandromax6651 Před 2 lety

    Kronos could be the real name for The Incredibles' version of X-Men's Cerebro, whose job is to search for Mutants, and also Humans. Something more or less in line with Gazer Beam / Viewpoint's personality.
    The Giant Computer that Bob Parr / Mr. Incredibles used might be Kronos, and its password is "Kronos" (ala Wargames' 'Joshua'). Kronos' functions might be like Cerebro.

    • @TheFangirlWatches
      @TheFangirlWatches  Před 3 lety

      I really liked that the password was Kronos, but the movie never took the time to explain it, so it was like another layer to unwrap on your own time. But, there is a hint of betrayal in that name, because Kronos, being the king of the titans, was the top dog, the biggest damage bringer, the one who controlled the other titans. And you can’t really have two kings running the same kingdom, so if Syndrome was Kronos, any competition had to be devoured! Plus, that deleted scene suggests that Simon was highly suggestible, and it only took some nudging to make him into a super hero, so how little effort would it take to convince him to become a super villain type?
