I am afraid that Mearsheimer has some kind of academic approach to this Ukrainian-Russian war and the tension between the West or US and Russia. He is looking at it from a position of sphere of influence between big powers, which you have to respect. There is another angle to it. Russia is an outdated centralized empire, which has nothing to offer to the citizens of neighboring countries (except bribing local politicians and provide discounted carbohydrates). It is clear and no coincidence that the centralized communist system had been changing from the West to the East. Now it reached Ukrainian-Russian borders. Russia or even Soviet Union had it chance in the early 90’s to become modern democratic and maybe as flexible or more society as US, but they blew it, because they as a society were not experienced and ready for it.

Then comparing the debates about the Korea Civil War and the Vietnam Civil War with the debates about this war, you will find that policy scholars have made many wrong judgments, because they don't confess the war is another socialism war after Communist Manifesto, so Dr. Kissinger makes the right judgment on Ukraine socialism warfare. Since the Democratic Party and the Communist Party have provoked each other and started another socialism war, we should defeat enemy quickly with all weapons, and not be afraid of the enemy's all weapons, because we have to defeat socialism parties.

Gets the impression that John Mearsheimer does not quite understand what he is talking about. What does the phrase “significant defeat under Bakhmut ” mean? Bakhmut is a small village, the population is 6 times smaller than Kherson, recaptured by the Ukrainian army. In that battle, the Russian army lost more people than the Soviet Union during 10 years of war in Afghanistan. In fact, today the total area (and population) of Ukrainian territory occupied by the Russians is still less than in April 2022. Where did the professor see the victory of the “second army of the world”? The issue of resources is not only a matter of population, the Russians can mobilize another million people, but the problem is that they have nothing to dress them in and nothing to arm them with, this is not a medieval war.

to explain to women nicely. First, the presence of the Russian army in Kharkiv and Kiev does not mean that they were occupied or captured because here there are 4 million Ukrainians in the municipality of Kyiv and Kharkiv about 2 and here Russia cannot put people in power so easily without killing 2 million and Russia will not do such a thing something because it is not doing as Israel did, so it was a fake attack to divide the Ukrainian army and it was easier to capture the Black Sea, so there is no success here from the Ukrainian side, do not rejoice, except Kherson is here and that is the only success for Ukraine. Other Russia is BRICS and BRICS is half a world economy, so don't expect Russia to collapse, and Russia's war industry and army is 10 times bigger.even if Ukraine manages to penetrate deep into Donbass, Luhansk, Zaporizhia and Crimea, it will face an Afghan war for the next 20 years because 8 million Russians or 90% live there. Do you think that Ukraine has enough strength and power for that? , the western powers are losing at the world level, the Russians are chasing them out of Africa and are losing resources, money and power, and BRICS already has a GDP 2-3 times larger than the western powers, so yes, that's it, Ukraine has no chance.

Russia is not in good shape. Their economy is degrading every month and the only thing that went wrong for Ukraine was insufficient and inadequate support from the West:
    - Support comes slowly and with restrictions
    - Pressured to take a quick win results in a disastrous summer offensive with no air support (even if it had I would not have supported it)
