I can tell you why you can't get the new sensor to work, had the same thing happen today. When you mount the new nox sensor and change the connector, you also need to swap the cables in position 2 and 4 with each other. It helped for me. It's a shame that this information was not provided by the dealer when you bought the new sensor.

Is it possible you have any link to information that backs this up? We still have access to the car and we have the sensor so we could try swapping the pins.

@@IAMASPANNER Hi there, I've just had my Nox sensor replaced as it came up as an error then a few weeks later, the DPF needed cleaning so then had that done. The engine light came again on and the garage sad it was the Ad Blue sensor now. The only way to change the sensor is to buy the whole container as a unit... I haven't gone ahead but it seems similar to this issue...

Just had my engine transmission light come on. Took it for diagnostics and it is Nox sensor needing a replacement. Land Rover charge £870 for this. I also now have a rattle which has finally resulted in the dpf shield eroding on one side. This is a strange one, £2000 replacement of whole dpf all because two screw fittings eroded, or Landrover (at Team Valley Gateshead), said i could just remove the shield and drive with it. They did say not to drive it in long grass if i took this option due to fire risk. I am really annoyed, was going to take this car from the wife (2017 disc sport with 60k miles) but i fancy my chances keeping my 2012 mazda 6 with 120k miles v this hunk of expensive junk.

This countdown is not just for adblue level.its for SCR system as a whole not seeing a successful SCR drive cycle.once a successful drive has been completed the range will reset itself.obviously it will fail if there is a sensor/pump/ injector especially if you have checked and confirmed adblue level is ok on live data

This is also confirmed by having the driver inducement DTC

If the Adblue tank reads zero it may be overfilled the level sensor can’t read the level if it’s overfull 👍🏻

I learned that the hard way also. Only ever put 10 litres in now. I hate this car, very poorly made. Not worth keeping after 50k miles.

The blanking plug needs to go on the opposite side and then wired in as normal. Then it will work

Lot or work and time, time, time into these problems. Struggling with similar right now. I tried to take off the AdBlue injector nozzle today and could not get the black plastic end out of the tube with its connectors. The electrical connector no problem. The unit's small end, I messed with the recessed tabs and the tabs with the grips on them (should be hint) for an hour. Was breaking one of them, and decided to stop. The nozzle was cleaned a couple weeks ago, just the sprayer. The error message changed from 'incorrect diesel exhaust fluid quality" to 'dosing' malfunction. And my Autel shows 2 NoX permanent DTCs. Maybe I need to drain the tank too. Not sure where the drain is on a 2017 RR Sport, US model. Anyone chime in appreciated.

23:17 turn pin 2 and pin 4. There is a official recall from Landrover SSM75907

What does turning the pins solve? Do you have a link to the recall? I tried to find it but the only reference was on a website you had to log in.

this car is a simple shit... at this mileage, this issue is not even ok for a Wartburg or Lada...
