    I have a video idea. I know you did a video for South Carolina vs North Carolina.. but what about North Carolina vs Virginia? It would be interesting as they are close enough to be similar.

    Appreciate the tip on appliances. We are planning a move over there soon, stored our fridge, washer, and dryer for awhile now. We were very close to just selling them before the move.

    Thanks or the tips. I am moving to NC in Nov to apt. and was shocked when my agent said folks are bidding for homes $10-20k over asking price even when these homes needed new floors new windows etc.

    Truth. I signed my contract to build with a large builder in April 2021 with an anticipated completion of Jan 2022…they haven’t even broke ground yet and it will be at least one year late. The contract is so one-sided, there is no recourse.

    • @LivinginRaleighTV
      @LivinginRaleighTV  Před 2 lety

      That's unacceptable. So sorry to hear that. Who was the builder?

    His video is accurate..I'm friends with alot of northern transplants..the ones who love it here are the ones sick of big city life and love nature and a slow pace life ..the ones that don't must have been lied to by the realtor..if you like fast past city living move to LA, Chicago , Atlanta or move to Connecticut.rhode island ..the southern culture is nothing like up north

    Another outstanding video, Chris! One question. I have bought and sold two homes in my lifetime, one in Nevada and the other in Washington State. We did not need and did not use a lawyer. Is one required in NC?

    Your videos are very helpful for understanding this market. Maybe you already have covered this topic, but I would appreciate a video about investment properties, especially for cash flow. It seems that it is very difficult to find that right now.

      @@LivinginRaleighTV your welcome. I would just like to say that no matter where you live, your going to have places that aren't all that great. Olive in PA and know all about certain people's driving and demeanor. You just learn to deal with it and hope for the best. I'll be moving myself within the next two years around the Williamton area. Love the ocean .

    what's your opinion about the market for Raleigh, Apex, Cary.. are house prices stabilizing or are they just going higher?

    • @LivinginRaleighTV
      @LivinginRaleighTV  Před 2 lety +2

      Things are a little more stable now, but it's still pretty wild. Cary, Raleigh, and Apex are some of the most competitive areas.

    When shopping for a house online how do you know if it has a basement

    • @LivinginRaleighTV
      @LivinginRaleighTV  Před 2 lety

      It will say in the listing, but basements are not common in NC. They’re more likely to be on a sloped lot.

    Honestly I really wanted to move to RALEIGH NC just like many others do to the lower cost of living but what peaple never talk about is how NC jobs pay way less then states like Cali or NYC and on top of that home and rental prices are going up in RALEIGH and has become very expensive almost NYC prices peaple think by moving to the south they gonna live in luxury and the more peaple move here the more expensive it will become I probably just gonna keep my butt in NYC

    • @Bababui69
      @Bababui69 Před rokem

      That is why you buy don't rent. Washington DC and North Virginia pay is equivalent to NYC. Montgomery County Maryland and Prince George County are very good places to live and have the subway system that connects to DC. It's like living in Brooklyn.
