Lawyers representing Amber Heard are cross-examining Johnny Depp following his two days of testimony in the $50m (£38.2m) defamation lawsuit he brought against his ex-wife. The trial is in its second week at the Fairfax County Courthouse in Virginia.
Heard is being sued by Depp for implying he ab*sed her in a 2018 op-ed she wrote. Although she did not name him, his lawyers claim her allegations have made it difficult for the actor to land movie roles, turning him from “Cinderella to Quasimodo” in Hollywood, as the Pirates of the Caribbean actor described it.
On Thursday morning, Heard’s lawyers challenged the actor over v*lgar text messages sent by him, his dr*g use and drinking, and the length of his s*briety.

I know many men whose wives were so sweet while plotting to take every. single. thing. My ex tried to do that but I caught her, confronted her and then managed to keep my cool so we could split everything down the middle and go our separate ways. But in my experience, the females first response is hide their scorched earth policy.

I can't stand her. As someone who's been falsely accused of things similar it makes me sick to see how she tried to destroy him. I personally had to put up with people believing i was some kind of monster just because a twisted person decided to lie. It's sickening and i hope Amber gets what's coming to her. I hope she's shunned out of the Hollywood cesspool she cares so much about

If you're going to have a breakdown about losing tens of millions of dollars, the best place you could possibly have that breakdown, is in your home. As someone that suffers from panic attacks, I can't imagine being recorded while having a breakdown. She's a sick twisted woman, and we can only hope that she gets any punishment at all.

I understand after childhood abuse I married a man who wound up verbally emotionally and physically abusing me. Skip ahead years later I had left him and raised my daughters and once they were out of the house I started having flashbacks and panic attacks. Severely I mean I would be terrified and I used to think I had an eating disorder I'd have trouble swallowing food as it got worse and they tried me on a lot of different medications I was put on Xanax and for the first time in years I felt normal Flash Forward again now because of all the controversy and people taking Xanax for the least little thing they're not going to refill my medicine anymore. I have gotten off of it before and the panic attacks will just escalated I literally will shake and it's a miserable feeling sometimes you even think you're going to die. But with the Real Housewives popping his Xanax followed by a drink and laughing about it along with everything else going on I'm not going to be able to get the medicine I need. I'm not being judged as a person I'm a statistic. By the way the day I left him he was choking me under water in the bathtub the way he always told me he would kill me. So I didn't start dating men until my girls were out of the house and I started having crazy reactions especially if someone said I love you. It was through medicine and seeing doctors and reading books that I found out what had been going on with me wasn't normal. It breaks my heart that I'm going to have to go through all that suffering again because of everything negative about Xanax. My doctor retired without warning and they're trying to get me with another psychiatrist but all of them keep saying they don't prescribe that medicine. It's awful because all those other medicines they try have multiple side effects that are harmful including your liver. The only side effect of Xanax is becoming addicted our the possibility of Overdose. Become addicting are you serious liking I have to take it every day? What a joke you're okay with me taking psychotropics everyday no matter the side effect. When I asked him to put me back on it a year-and-a-half ago I was just at my ends we're suffering like that all day into 1 in the morning with no way to live.

Does she think everyone is too stupid to see how much of a total set-up this was? If my husband was clearly furious and slamming doors, the last thing I would think of is setting up a camera. If I didn't already know what he was upset about, I would try to find out. Gently. I would want to be supportive and give him someone to talk or vent to when HE was ready. And until he was ready to do that, I would give him the space he needed to calm down enough to even want to talk. Or drink or whatever. I would not keep pushing to purposely agitate him.

There is literally no way an abusive partner would just dump the camera into the trash. An abusive partner would have directed that anger towards their victim as soon as they saw the camera and then totally trashed it and take the SD card or whatever it was. There is no way a victim of domestic abuse gets away without a scratch if caught when filming their abuser, it is a really risky move to record.

I watched Johnnys’ sister in court, and she’s so much like him, both in expressions and looks, but when Ambers’ name was mentioned, JDs’ sisters’ face was so sad, because she knows just what this woman’s put Johnny through, and she also knows that because of her and JDs’ childhood, he’d rather leave the situation, than stay to face violence, and abuse. When JD was filming, his sister would book two hotel rooms, so if an argument with Amber flared up, JD could go to the ‘safe room.’

Yes it does say it all. I saw a lot of violence as a child and I am frightened of it. I can argue the same as anyone and slam around the house, but I never had a fight at school or in my whole life. Because I am terrified of violence.

Or rather, both parties have to know and consent to it prior to recording. I don't understand why it's allowed in court but it makes Amber's behavior more questionable, in my opinion.
