Amber Heard's Multimillion-Dollar Divorce Requests Detailed in Depp Tria, Johnny Depp's business manager outlined in court on Thursday Amber Heard's escalating financial demands during her divorce from the actor.
Edward White, who has worked as Depp's accountant and business manager for the past six years, delivered testimony during the 11th day of the exes' defamation trial in Fairfax, Virginia, where he detailed the costs arising from their acrimonious split.
The Rum Diary co-stars, who wed in 2015, had their union officially dissolved in January 2017, months after Heard filed for divorce. "She was initially looking for a consideration of $4 million, but the demand continually increased," White said during direct questioning from Depp's attorney. "It went from $4 million to $5 million. Then it went from $5 million to $5.5 million. Then it went to $7 million, and then it was $7 million and she required-demanded-that Mr. Depp also pay $500,000 to her attorneys."
"So the next demand was that all of the community liabilities that were unresolved... $13.4 million, that Mr. Depp had to pay those liabilities in its entirety," White went on. "So at that point, she was demanding $14,250,000 of consideration. And then it got worse. The next demand was that all of this consideration be paid to her free of taxation."

Have faith on the authorities, they need physical prove, not 'mental' abuse to proceed any mistreated case, it's human nature to have a strong appearance and alibi. I did the math, $160,000 in wine debt (as the accountant stated) at $500 a bottle during the course of a 15 month marriage comes to 320 bottles of wine or approximately 21 bottles a month. And they say Johnny has the alcohol problem.

I think it is less that he isn't a good lawyer and more that they know they have no case and are grasping at straws. After all, when your entire case is "you didn't see what happened when you weren't there, correct?" in cross. And clips of Johnny getting loud, slamming cuboards, and quoting Monty Python in text message form. Also muffins? Then you don't have a case. Seriously, in all those times she secretly recorded him she didn't catch even one single moment of physical abuse when she claims it happened regularly? I'm sure the lawyers are fine. They aren't paid anywhere near the amount of Ben Chew for JD. They are a local team in Virgina that frequents that courthouse. Of course they are a little out of their wheel house. (Not supporting AH... just not sure we can judge the legal team when they have nothing to work with). I will say that while her team fails at challenging many of the things Depp's team brings they have had a few better moments on the meat of the case - defamation. Really need to find a way to tie her to the headline directly.

To not fight this is saying to your kids subliminally, “Daddy thinks it’s okay to assault women.” I’d be furious. I’d use whatever legal means I had to in order to set the record straight. No real man, especially one who has been abused himself, ever wants that label. That’s right up there with R. Kelly type of stuff.

I realise that it must be difficult for Johnny to have to say all these things in front of a court but also because it is being shown on a streaming channel as well but I am pleased that it is because people can truly see who in this relationship was the abuser, both emotionally and physically and who has also lied for years about so many things! I have said this before and I will say it again, if Johnny Depp doesn't win this case then there is no justice for anyone else who has been a victim of domestic abuse!

It just shows that going to court doesn't always equal justice! I have to say though that Judge Penny has been amazing throughout with her patience, proffessionalism and fairness. I am sure that she has an opinion but she has left it at the door of the court and has not tried to influence the jury in anyway, which must be very difficult at times to do. Just like the jury have to do which is why I thought it disgusting that Mr Rottenborn in his closing statement to the jury said that if they find in favour of Johnny Depp, they are agreeing that domestic abuse and r**e is acceptable! To put that kind of statement on them when they are told to leave their personal feelings at the door and make a decision based solely on the evidence put before them in that court! That is almost impossible because they are human with feelings and emotions which makes it so harder but then to give them that statement to guilt trip them was sickening but I don't know a lot about the law so even though I don't think it should have been allowed, obviously it was allowed!

As someone who did this once when I was emotionally unstable and knew it, looking over your shoulder the way she has been during is a huge huge cry for attention and screams inner insecurity so gross that she does it every couple minutes. The fact that she had the audacity to counter-sue him for $100m is actually insane. I just cannot fathom the fact that she believes she has a chance in winning with all the lies she's told.
