Johnny Depp trial - live: Amber Heard had no marks on face after alleged 2016 incident says artist neighbour
Johnny Depp’s multi-million defamation lawsuit against his former wife, Amber Heard, is continuing in Virginia. The court has heard testimony from the actor’s sister Christi Dembrowski, who also acted in part as his business manager, and his artist friend and neighbour Isaac Baruch.
Depp claims a 2018 article written by Heard in The Washington Post - in which she spoke about d*mestic vi*lence towards women - implied Depp, her former husband, was an ab*ser.
Although the 35-year-old did not name the actor, lawyers for Depp say Heard’s allegations have made it difficult for the 58-year-old to land roles he previously did.
Depp is known for starring in films such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Sweeney Todd and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Heard has appeared in titles including Aquaman and Drive Angry.
He is asking for $50m (£38.2m) in damages during the trial in Fairfax County’s district courthouse. Heard has meanwhile filed a counterclaim of defamation against Depp, who she divorced from in 2017, for nuisance.

Yeah exactly. He didn't ASK Johnny for money, ever. Johnny knew that his childhood friend had a passion for for art, and, given that Johnny has the financial ability to support his friend, he chose to give him the opportunity to pursue his passion for painting. It's a literal dream for artists to be able to create without the stress of paying the bills.
He invested in his friend while expecting NOTHING in return. That's so unbelievably selfless. Johnny doesn't _have_ to give anything to anyone. But he chose to take care of his buddy. That's what made it so special to me.
The friend seems like a genuinely good guy. I can only hope to have a friend like that someday.

The fact that he's able to say on the stand uninterrupted with no objections or move to strikes that "she lied" "and "she's fraudulent" is monumental.
Right?? I kept waiting for the attorney to interrupt at any point with some kind of objection. Or even just interrupting with another question. But she just let him go on and on making Amber look worse and worse. (This guy was a great witness btw. Incredibly believable and authentic seeming. And you could see his real emotions and incredulity towards Amber's claims. Surely the jury saw what we did.) And besides letting this witness go and on and on you have her embarrassing herself with the "amika" flub. Did Amber hire a discount lawyer or what??! I mean seriously??

Certainly no one of status or with money is going to hire her going forward. (Unless she miraculously redeems herself.) So she would have to really hate Amber AND not care about her career. In a case i know of where the atty hated his client, rather than trying to throw his case he asked to be recused, but unfortunately the judge told him he had to finish it out. The client was Jodi Arias. (I don't blame him a bit. Shes the worst.)
If I were a jury member, I would ask myself: "What violent man lets a person live in his house rent-free without being violent to that same person?" Violent people are the worst towards those who depend on them. I believe this guy.

I have had a black eye before I was in highschool in winter I had slipped on the wet floor of the Caf my face directly into a metal chair. I tried to cover it in makeup it doesn't work especially because the whole area is inflamed also the makeup product in which she said she used didn't come out till a year after the apparent incident had occurred you can look it up the makeup product in which she said that she used the company didn't even have that product till a year later after they had already divorced so like she's lying badly.

Amber just lost the case. It's a wrap. I'm a 2nd year Lawyer. Even an amateur like myself knows you can blow a case with one false move. The moment that man started crying, her attorney needed to immediately cut him off and say something. ANYTHING. She just let him have the floor. I promise you, the jury very much connected with him in that moment. You can't un-do that. This wasn't likely to work out well for Amber anyway. This is just an early nail in the coffin.

This felt like a very genuine emotional plea for everybody to just stop all the nonsense and heal. If he had started crying and directing it at all at Amber; you let him carry on. It does NOT make bruising magically disappear even with layers upon layers upon LAYERS of makeup. Where did Amber find her defense team? Yep I got a concussion from a car accident when I was 16, my forehead , nose and under my eyes were black and blue. I tried to cover it with make up and it did not work, no matter how much I put on. There's no way if she was actually punched she would be able to cover that up. She's ridiculous

I am a survivor of both childhood domestic abuse and I have also lived through abuse in some of my adult relationships. I can tell you from experience, Ms. Heard comes off as a typical, female abuser. Johnny, on the other hand, responds as if he knows the whole truth of the situation and he is just being himself and acting as though he is secure in the fact that he is in the right and that the truth is finally coming out! I pray he is vindicated because, in this situation, we can all see what the truth is: Johnny, as well as his children, are the true victims here!

Arnica helps a lot, it definitely helps reduce inflammation and speed up healing, it's not immediate though. You can still see the redness and inflammation for a period of time after and it's still sore until it heals. Even IF she used arnica or "amica" it would still be noticeable...

Bruises take days if not weeks to heal (I've had bruises take up to a month to heal). I use arnica regularly; awesome to reduce muscle soreness, also good as a relief for joint and muscle pain. The lies of these people lmao Plus, who the feck would think about applying arnica to their face or whatever after their husband just abused them? I mean.. That wouldn't be my first thought. My first thought would be packing my shiet and going far away
