Johnny Depp suggested that Amber Heard’s attorney had fabricated negative text messages that he allegedly sent about his ex-wife.
“You can pull what you like, I’ve never said those words. There’s not enough hubris in me to say anything like that,” Mr Depp told Heard lawyer Ben Rottenborn during cross-examination on Wednesday.
Amber Heard’s legal team has rested their defence case in the defamation trial brought against her by ex-husband Johnny Depp. Testimony from rebuttal witnesses for Depp is underway, with the actor himself returning to the stand.
Heard is being sued by Depp for $50m for implying he her in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed. Although she didn’t name him, he claims her allegations impacted his ability to work. She is pursuing a counterclaim of $100m, of which a motion to dismiss was denied by Judge Penney Azcarate.
Supermodel and Depp-ex Kate Moss testified that during her relationship with the actor in the 1990s he did not pu*h her down the stairs as had been rumoured and mentioned by Heard in testimony.

Hey Popcorned Planet - to Kim’s point that wouldn’t Amber want to know who the leaker of the video is, isn’t that irrelevant if TMZ owns the copyright?
As Amber made the video, EVEN IF one of her friends or team leaked to TMZ, she is the ONLY one that can transfer her copyright to TMZ, someone that stole her video from her iPad can’t sell her video that she has copyright over to someone else.
So even IF Amber tries to claim the witness was lying about the 15 minutes, TMZ can’t OWN that video copyright unless Amber sold it to them, she had to authorise that sale of copyright, even if it came from her friends or publicist or lawyer.
I thought that the very fact TMZ owns the copyright proves that Amber was involved at some stage with the release of that video?
It must be really hard for Amber to constantly write on her notepad her own shame and lies 😬
Amber was the only one who had the video...IT WAS HER who leaked the tape.
Well more specifically the person who holds a video or photos copyright is the person who took the footage. In the case of this video that's amber heard. Tmz slapped their watermark which can only be done for the copyright. The only way for them to be able to obtain that copyright is if Amber sold it to them. She was the only one capable of it as she owned the copyright.
Yep that's what they r saying without them getting themselves into a position to be sued by her!

They would’ve had to contact the person that took the video, and pay for the video in order to own the copyright.
Just because someone else “possessed” the video, if that’s the claim being made, Amber would still have to sell the copyright before TMZ could distribute it.

I knew it wasn't asvisable for Johnny's team to say she's not that good in her craft. They introduced elements in their case in chief such as the Hollywood expert and the computer wizard that introduced social media behaviour in relation to both stars. The rebutal is brilliant. They brought in information that will allow the jury to xome to that conclusion themselves. The information was backed up by verified facts and easily explained in the presented to the jury.
Dr. Curry is so good at her job. She's truly an expert. She keeps to the scope of her assignment and is very conscious of her professional ethics.

Kate Moss could give AH lessons on being a true lady, the difference between night and day between the two of them. Isn't it amazing that Johnny can depend on his ex-girlfriends to come to his aide when he needs to have them tell the truth in court? The worst moment of the day was when at the end of crossing Johnny they read those crazy texts out to try and catch him out. No one noticed the messages said “incoming” likely they weren’t Johnnys. Again another nasty crude set up by AH. Really her and her legal team stooped to new lows. Really this woman needs to have justice served.

I think if we’re paying attention, then the jury surely is paying attention at Ambers odd behavior. She doesn’t act like she is scared of JD. She is angry at him. When she heard the her lawyer reading the text message that allegedly JD wrote, her demeanor shifted. I feel like she’s very angry that she’s not with JD anymore. She thought she could get away with murder as long she was with JD, and though that JD would never sue her because he is such a private person. She thought he loved her more than loving himself. He chased himself over her and I bet she’s still hasn’t gotten over it. Amber Heard needs Jesus Christ.

@JenniferRoach good call, the way she smiled so big, so evilly when Johnny said one of the pictures from the Facebook page on the honeymoon, orient express train was photoshopped it grabbed my attention as if she were speaking “got you” out loud. Problem with that is Johnny’s photos were submitted to forensic analysis to an expert in the field, the Facebook photo was submitted by AH and like the rest of her photos it was not submitted for proper analysis, so the way her team presented that evidence was another lie in the making. I hope the jury catches that.

I am so impressed with the way the team argued against the TMZ motion to intervene. As a former journalist (and current law student), I was absolutely certain TMZ would block that testimony, particularly on First Amendment grounds.
I was also floored by Camille’s direct examination of Morgan Tremane. She managed to get him to reveal the information required without having him explicitly say it, or get tripped up by hearsay. It was absolutely incredible. I was actually watching on my phone at the time, picking up some shopping. I had to leave the shop and stand outside to watch without any distractions. She was amazing! _That’s_ how you do direct!
Oh and the judge is awesome. Social media is full of people saying she’s biased towards Amber but that’s just not true. People are annoyed when she sustains objections made by Amber’s team but she’s just doing her job properly, within the bounds of the constraints put upon her. She’s made no prejudicial rulings, she’s incredibly even handed (with a sense of humour!)
She has absolutely done a great job. She has to be fair. That is her job. If she leans to either side even a little bit or does anything unfair.. she risks having an appeal... and no one wants that.

I thought it was interesting that one of the factors that the judge seemed to consider was that this witness wanted to testify. I don’t know how that pertains to the law, but it seemed relevant. He got a subpoena, but he volunteered to testify before that.
I agree that Camille was extremely efficient. I think many people were confused about what was going on before he testified and after, just from the feed where I was watching. I think that so far, he was the key to proving defamation though. I don’t know enough about law to know how much they will consider that proof, but it seemed like proof to me!

Now we find out it wasnt even planned. The meeting ran so long Dr Curry got hungry, asked for food, and then Johnny just bought take out for everyone! So Elaine shot herself in the foot hammering away yet again.🤦🏻♀️

Absolutely, it had the same effect on me! It’s been 4 years since I left my narcissist abusive ex and I was triggered equally as bad. I don’t even cry over sad movies and I was shaking and sobbing after his testimony. It is in no way a coincidence that within minutes, both you and I wrote the same thing.

She said I don't know who leaked it and that it certainly wasn't her. If she gave it to her PR team then she could definitely skirt around a perjury charge. I think the jury knows that she leaked it.
I just pray that Johnny wins and that the jury will award him the 50 million that he has asked for. Of course we all know that it will be a long time before he sees any money but the world already knows that he is innocent of her vile charges.

During that video she did a dramatic monologue where she talks about punching Johnny to "save her sisters life " and it was just so cringe. The girl has single handedly gotten her roles due to her looks and manipulative skills. And the looks arent even organic as shes had multiple plastic surgeries to perfect her face. She used to look a lot more like Whitney.

like her acting coach slipped: she can't act sad and cry on command. Which should have been an argument in her favour because this video deposition was made before the trial, and I think Amber WAS supposed to have cried. But she never succeded to, so it turned out to sound very differently. Go back and see her face when her acting coach says that, it's like someone had slapped her in the face.
Even her lawyers are done. They are literally objecting every single time people try to speak out. Amber deserves everything she gets after what she did to JD. And so do the lawyers that were willing to partake in her BS.

I couldn't believe that lol She was literally objecting before they even got to speak the sentence a couple times in the hope not to get that info out. I can't believe they don't understand how much more focus they put on something and how bad it looks when they are trying soooo hard to make sure the jury doesn't see or hear something. I think it would honestly cause less damage not to draw attention to it and just let them ask the question or whatever... maybe that way the jury may not be paying super close attention at that point, may not realize its important, may forget etc etc. Instead of waving a hugeeeee flag and saying focus all your attention here!!! The smile on her face when Depp talks about her abusing her sister was so Intense and scary. She definitely made a mistake in showing her true colors in that smile and if the jury was watching her that's not good for her.

Dr. Curry was amazing and she tore up Dr. Hughes corrupt assessments lol 😆 and she looked amazing, confident, everything she said in my opinion she knows exactly what she's doing and talking about. I absolutely loved watching her today! Bravo!

I'm disappointed that Dr Hughes was allowed to read her notes while Dr Curry was not, then she was Deceiptful about handing them over, the whole folder should have been taken from her

Never been a Depp fan, knew he was an actor and liked some of the movies he did. Never followed or been interested in his personal life so never knew who Heard was until this trial (didn’t even know there was a trial until shorts started appearing on CZcams) but GOD DAMN! That woman, her lawyers, her ‘experts’, her witnesses are an absolute disgrace to real abuse victims, and to mankind in general at times. I’m shocked that this BS can even be allowed to go on for this long. I am now a huge Depp fan and despise Heard and anything or anyone that is connected with her. Heard and the people who’ve lied on oath should be held accountable for their actions. It’s shocking that this can even be allowed to happen.

AH and what she is doing, is setting a dangerous precedent for women and men who are suffering in sexual battery and physical violence. As a survivor and one who has had my face bruised, two black eyes and suffered some nose bruising. I used ice and did everything to try and decrease swelling and hide bruising....no matter what I did, I couldn't hide this beating. I lost my job because I couldn't take time from work. I am afraid for the victims both men and women who won't be believed when they are showing signs of being abused. Won't look at abuser (looks have controlled them and that knowledge alone is a threat to the victim), as a victim and having provided support to many who went to court against their abuser. The victims, includes me, never showed aggressive confidence or even showed confidence. In victims fear and lack of confidence can be seen in their eyes. In the past 2 years, through my work, a specialist who specializes in working with women, men and children suffering from trauma. I have had 3 who were murdered by their partner, 2 who have to keep looking over their shoulder, 5 suicides, one suicide being a 10 year old. Many men also. Including a man who was pushing for custody of his children. He was suffering emotional, spiritual and physical abuse. With all the evidence he had Including 5 sheriffs reports because the woman was drunk, trying to leave to drive (drunk, he took keys) and the woman chased once chased him with an axe and another time with a knife. Has police reports show these incidents. I could go on and on with many men who were refused custody or had to feel embarrassed by describing their abuse.
I am so pissed because AH has made a mockery of truth.

The face she made when Depp was talking about how Amber abused Whitney was absolutely disgusting. You could see how she enjoyed that story. And you guys said you don't know if she had any authentic emotions, we have seen 1 emotion that was absolutely genuine, ANGER!a lot of jaw clenching and you could see her blood boil during some testimonies, it was glorious to watch
She's definitely also expressed legitimate emotion when broaching the subject of her childhood, as well as any time she talked about her concern over being embarrassed publicly or damage to her reputation. She displayed some amount of genuine distress in those moments, which I think is rather telling.

But when Johny's lawyers ask to the the witnesses why they came to give their testimony, Amber's lawyers dispute that it doesn't matter to the case. So much manipulation.

1:03:00 PTSD. She describes it so well. PTSD DESTROYS your functioning, at least in some ways. Not in all ways. I have been diagnosed with PTSD. It probably originated mainly from some events in 1985-1990 but especially from one event in November 1990. It has never left me. Sometimes better, sometimes worse. You can never tell when. That's 31 plus years later.
Whatever you endured I am so very sorry that you had to go through that! Just know there are lots of people, like myself, that admire the strength and courage that you show everyday by being so open and vulnerable with others! I hope each day is better than the last for you and that in tough times strength is abundant for you!
This was one of the very first things that I noticed! I’m so glad Dr. Curry explained about these functioning levels. I still have trouble leaving my house just to go to doctors or the store. No one with ptsd could possibly function the way Amber does!! She shows zero hyper-vigilance too! It’s extremely insulting as someone that actually has ptsd.

Quick look in the audience without an ounce of sadness but a cold calculating, controling look to check if it was over. Then resumed her testimony. It was an instant, but so revealing, that it's all about image for her. Way more than the fact, that are a little flaky in her case.

JD is RIGHT HANDED so it should be RIGHT HAND to her LEFT CHEEK. He asked the data guy a question and objected to his answer because he didn't like the answer. He threw me out of vehicles in the middle of nowhere. He left for another woman,who in turn left him because he didn't have my money anymore and he wasn't going to work. He stalked me,nearly unalived me with two weapons. When I would vent to my sister I said terrible things. I talked about planting drugs in his truck and calling the police. Switching his medication. People would think I was psycho if they read them without context.

(I swear I thought I heard him say something about being a lawyer, have to go rewatch it in its entirety though) He was almost as fun to watch as Dr. Curry today.

Just an additional comment- the video submitted to TMZ was edited and amber was cut out… the video was edited to better fit the narrative that ambers side is trying to push and painted Johnny in a much darker light. Another observation that Amber was generally responsible for the leak.

Remember one of her friends stated that she had over 30 people come to the penthouse. And Johnny knew she cheated on him.
I would be understanding if it was his texts and I would also be understanding if they weren’t his texts at all and are fakes or she sent them herself to make it look like him.

The only thing I can say when Johnny said that he didn't make those statements is I was in an abusive relationship. He definitely wanted me to look bad. And I was sleeping did take my phone and he did text other people and he did say things that I would have never said and he did it in a way that it looked like it was actually coming from me.
The texts stated “incoming” not “sent”. He received the texts it wasn’t sent from his phone.
