Thanks for taking the time to make this video!
Great video. Shifting is fine. Dual will be nice for towing and backing up
Putting a 850 clutchmasters on my s52 today. This was a helpful overview even if my slave is external.
I have a twin disk on my M52 as well its really similar. The BM ZF handles it alot better than the GM ZF does
Phones are creepy. I'm cussing out my t56 tonight cause it won't slip together talking with my old man about the alignment tool, disc splines...and this is the first video that pops up recommended. Google hears everything.
Thanks for the video! I had the same experience with Southbend- tough to get into 1st and reverse. I wonder what kind of accelerated wear it will cause to the trans… time will tell
Mine is getting worse with time. To the point where I am going to have to pull the trans and evaluate what is going on. I suspect the center plate is binding up on the 3 guide pins maybe?
@@spankranchgarage Not good to hear... I want horse ponies but don't want unreliable stuff. The struggle! Even if you pay top dollar for stuff these days it seems there's gonna be an issue if it's not 100% bone stock :(
BTW, stock clutch 8.1 will rip gears way better than you expect. 10x better than my nv4500. Found that out on accident when I was pissed off. Haha
I might be going back to a single disc. I just feel this twin stressing the syncos so much
@@spankranchgarage I gotta do a clutch this summer, and I'm just putting in a factory stock LuK
🤠
Bleeding my zf6 on my dmax is not going very well after pumping for 2 hours now the pedal is super stiff what am i doing wrong?
Check out the diagram I made. Pumping isn't the answer for these systems. They are very difficult to bleed, but the fact is that gravity does most of the work for you
@@spankranchgarage thank you for the response do you let the Master cylinder bleeder valve sit open or sit closed?
@@unclesasquatch5736 I leave it closed for a little while then open it and observe air coming out until fluid starts dripping. The close it, pump a few times, let it sit another hour, open and let the air out and repeat. I have not found a way to rush this process. A totally dumb design.
I finally after a few more hours of messing with it i figured out what was the problem (from the factory) because i had not disassembled this conection, the quick connection on the new slave cylinder was missing the spring in the check valve. I was so relieved i was thinking i was going to have to pull the transmission out again. Now it's working like it should.
Just some bad luck i guess. I removed the check valves in the line. Because i don't see there purpose other than to keep fluid in when you dissemble the clutch and remove the slave cylinder.
I win cydney
