So glad I saw this. About to replace the clutch hydraulic assembly on my F350 w/the ZF6. Was seriously considering the SBC unit. Thank you for saving me the headache!
thanks. i think maybe mine may be going out. the clutch is not disengaging fully. it's worse now that it was. maybe leaking. 2003 7.3L with about 215000 miles on it. i don't always put a lot of miles on my truck. he said Autozone $90 special i think DogDaze.
Thanks for the heads up on the South Bend parts. Is there a "real" heavy duty option available? At least in my area, the big box auto parts stores all seem to sell the same junk. I'm considering making my own kit using race car parts but need to make sure I get the bore and stroke right so it displaces enough fluid.
Interesting we use OEM master and slave components and add a high quality line to replace the cheap plastic line that tends to fail.
I just got mine at O'Reilly's. It's metal.
