In the beggining of the vid it listed the mods. It has a 60 mm GDS upgrade compressor wheel and housing. It has a 16 cm exhaust housing. It has 6x16 injectors. ( about 350 percent bigger then stock ) Fuel screw is 2 turns out from max.
ive got a 1993 cummins and a 2001 cummins both duallys with flat beds, i use them both on my 2500 acre farm, they have under a cattle and flatbed trailer
truck has 3.54 gears... i knew it would run hot climbing. so a good run at the hill helps with the momentum dept. truck was tired tho, engine pissed oil out gaskets(still ran strong and ive swapped 12vs in that truck since). 5th gear nut came off... replaced and found out the tranny was a rebuilt with the upgraded locking nut. havent has it come off yet. the diff piled up, replaced transfercase and selling it now. buying a 01 4x4 3500 dually with blown 24v, rebuild my 12v and convert it back.
i used my bone stock 98 3500 12v to yank 16000lb and snapped a yoke taking off. another time i loaded a 123ft x 8ft x 4ft deep dump trailer with gravel (unknown weight) and climbed a hill to sneak out of town (way over weight). started off getting it up to 4th gear, had to gear down till i got to 2nd and held it at 2800 rpm all the way up..got hot, i could feel the heat from the transmission tunnel, the rear diff was smoking and engine temp guage was almost at its max. poor ol 12v worked hard
yes i have...it was a 1994 f350 short wheel base dually with 12ft deck. truck had 160 thousand kms when engine was replace, thing idled all its life as a welding truck...but with reman 7.3l from ford. that thing would keep up with my dads old 89 chev 2wd reg cab stepside with 350. i know the guy who now owns the truck. didnt look after it cooked the new engine and transmission i put in there. engine runs like crap and he converted it to a older 6.9l 4sp manual.i like both engines C and PS
@cumminsandhemi4ever I have a diamond eye 4 inch pipe on it. T.V. Diesel sells the complete 4 inch turbo back for 275 shipped. It will have the 3 inch flange for the stock turbo, but you can put on a HX40 4 inch flange on it if you want to run a 4 inch turbo outlet.
fuckin love them 93 12 valves my buddy has one it pushes 550 horses and 1200 fpt its quick and funny blowing by ricers with a cord of firewood in the back hahaha!!!
@pznerd i'm in the same boat kinda... i have a 97 f350 with a 400+hp 7.3... but that project is done and i wanna build a cummins this time around to a reliable 600+ on fuel and 700+ on nitrous... been looking around and am finding some real good deals! you just gotta check every other day or so on craigslist... much better deals than ebay
duramaxin81... Thats a 1st gen Cummins dude, its alot different than a common rail Dmax. With a VE pump and a single turbo, if he wants more power with that setup its gonna have to smoke some... Get over it. The fuel has to go somewhere till the turbo spools up and this truck is set up nicely. Most guys with a 12 valve are puking smoke till they let off the throttle, try giving him some credit
@blazier18 You can not compare VE pumps to P pumps. 2 different monsters all together with different settings and results.I could turn the fuel back on this truck to under stock levels even with these big injectors.

I have a first gen man prob not quite as power full as yours but man load her up n she doesn't feel it to much with the slight mods I got on it. There's no better truck then a first gen with a cummins under the hood.
@ken519356 I have nothing to prove. Watch the long video I have of the same pull and at the end it shows the trailer behind the truck. If the load was not on there, it would have been much faster. This truck is at 280 to 300 hp to the ground, and it moves out ok. Not the fastest, but respectable.

@1958johndeere620 The problem with most kids today is that they feel the need to pull a trailer to their destination the fastest is proveing something? Bullshit.. My Silverado is tuned to the max with EFI live and I tow trailers at a slower speed. All that counts is that you have good power and u get it to the destination safe. Ragging on my truck towing is something that I wont do.

@blazier18 You can turn the fuel to where you want. Yes they are 6x.016's but the pump is tuned for around 300 horses.

My dad has a banks kit on his 96, he does the same thing, he also hardly uses first gear when he drives it.
@luvtrux73 I don't tow with it often. It get way hot EGT's unless you keep it at low throttle settings. Its mostly a toy.
