I think this is the best hatch on sale today. Great fuel economy but sporty, with good quality and safe systems
First impressions, I can freely say - absolutely yes! Great, great car...
@@carinik if I didn’t need a bigger car I would have bought it, I drove it and I love it, but now I have an Audi A4 Allroad and I need its space and Awd so I bought a premium suv from Japan, Mazda Cx-60 Takumi in red with plug in Hybrid which also I love
It moves only with electricity but on higher speeds there is clutch engagement (there are no gears) in a ratio to 1 by 1. This is where we should see consumption.
On the Highway 130 km/h is in most cases a maximum allowed value. So this test doesn't say anything. Maybe next time you can test it at 100 km/h (over 10 km distance with wind and slope neutral) and 110 km/h. Don't forget to reset the trip computer.
I think he/she is not at all trying to drive it in a hybrid way. Not using the regenerators level adjusters instead of break, hard accelerations and all. This car should consume way less fuel than this. Hybrids are most efficient when you let it decelerate, let it regenerate energy and cruise!
my non-hybrid civic gets better fuel economy than this
Amazing Honda !!
🤣🤣🤣
my tguan phev 245hp,when i am charging the battery on the highway, with 130-140 km cosumes 6,9 l/100km.At hybrid mode+gte mode at 130 to 190 km/h consumes 3,8l/100km.And when i want, i make 60km with 80-100km/h on ev mode. What is the special with this honda?
I have the Jazz with the same but smaller hybrid system. This is not how you measure the consumption. It is very tricky to get a correct result for this new ehev system. The car itself sometimes shows very close to correct consumption but other times it is quite a bit off the real figures.
dumb test, tells nothing, basicaly 6,3 all the time
Lol i have 8G 1.8 manual with the same consumption and much more driving experience than this .
Ne ide ispod 5.9 odnosno 6,x
Bar po onom šta se vidi na videu.
Average ti je stalno visok.. U jednom trenutku 9.8
Ne kontam
with iMA we had 4,7/100, now 6.3. It is OK, OK.
I think when you were able to get 4,7 with IMA, you'll also get 4,7l/100 with this one or even less.
i am very curious how much it consumes on the highway at an alert peace.
bucuresti -constanta in Sport, cu treapta 2 la AC, mi a consumat 7.9, mers sustinut 150-180

I have better fuel consumption on 10gen civic 1.5T...
Otherwise good car, but no more manual is killing me!..,
Me too.
I'm also surprised a bit... my 1.5T has a lot LESS fuel consumption at 130km/h, alike about 0.8 l/100km less.
They are all madly hyping the "hybrid" systems, which may be needed for the planet's future, as economically profitable for consumers, which is as directly and strongly contrary to any possible truth as it gets.
Not only these hybrid cars don't "consume less", not only it is regularly "forgotten" by reviewers and sellers that (with non-full hybrids) you have to charge it and that's not free at all (in any possible sense... if you have to charge at home, or outdoors... waiting for the car to charge!), but the full hybrids use up as much petrol as they would without the electric module, plus... the car prices are rising madly precisely due to consumers having to pay car makers for their research, development, and electric parts production!
It's a scam, an absolute scam, but when you look at the powers promoting it, you know it is going to succeed.
@@cstrx11 Yes, but what does it do in shorter journeys or in urban driving? My ehev does 3.5L per 100 km. And is a lot faster as well.
@@pillred5974 I drove both. A "Lot faster" is simply not true. Somewhat faster, yes. But the Peak acceleration is acutally less than the 1.5T. I found it a bit boring compared to the 1.5T which is normal. BUT I have to say it's still waaay better than any other hybrid corolla from toyota. I liked it, mostly because of the great "transmission" (or lack of it) and artifical shifting is also nice. Build quality is way better.
Yes, on shorter jurneys it needs way less fuel. I din't write it because I didnt like I was just surprised that the 1.5T needs less fuel on the highway. And I drive also on the highway (German Autobahn).
In real world the consumption according to spritmonitor (which I absolutely belive) of the 1.5T is about 1.4L/100km more than the hybrid's, that's like 20%. Which is... OK I think.
In Bangladesh expressway we drive at 220
If You reset counter and made cruse controll for 130km/h in longer distance around 50km propaby fuel consupction will be much hire than 6 ltr. I Think around 8liters or 9. At the end you show avarge consumption from city and highway not only on highway.
There is no was it would be that high. My 1.5T sportPlus needs around 5.5-5.7 l/100km at 130km/h constant speed on straight road (and that's not the value the computer is trying to make me believe). Maybe even less. I can't imagine how this would need 8-9 l/100km at 130.
@@cstrx11 last time I was driving more than 60km with speed constans 120km/h was maximum speed on this highway fuel consumption shows 7.0 liters but was rally windy and car have Winter tires, than I drive to my city and than back to Honda saloon with speed 110km/h total fuel consumbcion was 6.3 for around 120km/h. Propably more drive in city and consumbcion will drop rappidly. So not so bad.
@@DarekTestuje well… i don’t know. 7l/100km at constant 120km/h. Seems a bit high for me to be honest. I managed to do those on winter tires and bad weather in my 8th gen 1.8 too. The 10th gen 1.5T needs a lot less than that. And I have 5w30 oil in it instead of 0w20.
Fuel consumption with the CVT is a bit more than with the manual transmission
@@cstrx11 I canceled to order Honda, prices go to much up. I decide for Mazda CX30 2.0 186HP e- skyactivX, is cheeper for around 5000 $ and Mazda with version Hikari has more than Honda offer.
It corrodes very quickly, no zinc, no protection.
I have since September, fuel consumption is 1 liter less in the city.
What do you mean?
1.9 tdi, 105 hp. 20 yrd. old diesel engine, also consumpt. 6.0L - 6.5 L city drive, even with more agressive drive. Where exactly is the shocking progress ?
This is a gasoline car. Also much less harmful exhaust gases in this case. Comparing consumption is only one thing. Plus this is much faster than your TDI. Not that it would be a bad car, just dont mix those
I don't know how this test was made. But I also tested it in the city (too) and there the consumption was like 3.5-4.0 l/100km. The only place where the civic (and all hybrids) dont have fuel eceonomy advantage is highway speeds.
@@cstrx11 Maybe I didn't express myself correctly. But when you hear a hybrid car and see how complex the car really is, you expect some stunning results, and I haven't even given a proper example. Golf 7 1.6 turbo diesel easily achieves a consumption of 5 liters in urban conditions. My personal car is a completely different class, but my company car was precisely the 1.9 tdi. Of course it matters, and the country in which you live, i.e. oil prices, maybe in countries with high prices relative to the standard of living, it matters even a 1 liter difference in fuel consumption
@@kristiankumanov5732 stunning results you get with a hybrid in city traffic mostly, like I wrote before. I tried the corolla 1.8 L hybrid too, that had like constant 3.5l consumption in the city. I get your point. But dont compare diesel with gasoline. City traffic in general is NOT good for diesel cars in the long term. Especially regular short distances. If you drive a lot on the highway you get a diesel.
This hybrid powertrain is btw realtively simple. And very interesting with a lot of clever solutions in it. Most of the times the engine works only as a generator without direct connection with the wheels.
