Serious old-school Swedish death metal worship here, that tone harks so much of Dismember back in the day. Nothing new here, but its a tasty slab that you'll love

Love the album. Gatecreeper can't make a bad song. This album reminds me a bit of Endseeker's Mount Carcass from a few years ago. Such sweet riffs.

Nice review Riley. I'm in love with this album but then again I love their previous two as well. I was still playing Deserted at least once a month. They're playing London later this year with 200 Stab Wound and Enforced. What a lineup, can't wait!!

My fave release of the year for sure. Had high expectations and it def met/surpassed it.
Far and away my favorite release from Gatecreeper. Their previous albums were all very generic to me, but here they're adding in a lot of melody without sacrificing the chainsaw guitar tone. I'm still waiting for a full album of death/doom like their one song Emptiness off the surprise EP, but I'll be happy to listen to Dark Superstition until that time comes

Saw these guys live with Powertrip and Cannibal Corpse like 6 months before Riley Gale from PT ended up passing away. They all tore the house down, built it back up and then burned it down by the end of the show. One of my best experiences live.
I saw that tour as well and it was amazing!

Love this record, reminds me of Wolverine Blues in that they've slowed things down a notch but it's still absolutely killer 🤘

Was kinda bummed that it's entirely an ambient record, I've loved everything they've done up to this point
as an ambient/drone album its kinda bad, riley should talk about the upcoming ulcerate album instead
Drumming and vocals sound quite Blackbraid inspired on this album

It's probably my least favourite album from these, and it's still an absolute rammer and it'll stay more or less on repeat until the new Thou releases at least. Their standard is insane

@@Nick20-100 The only thing that's stale here is your taste in music pal... This album fucking rips. It adds new melodic elements without sacrificing brutality. All the songs are memorable and let's not forget that it runs on a decent 37:19 time length.
