Can't wait for the Six Feet Under review in a couple weeks 🤣
Living rent free.

It's gonna SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!
Reeeeeee
The 2 singles I've heard are actually pretty good imo
‘I also think fuck God but why Glen’, haha, cracking me up man.
Big four with no obituary, that's blasphemous!
Yep!! I'd take obituary over Benton and Co. any day of the week.
Deicide > Obituary
Yea cuz they’re boring as fuck with lackluster riffs
Always that goofy "Death-core" for them kids these days...
@@JasonSBashant-METAL666 mans actin like death metal isn’t just as tongue-in-cheek…
---> *_What Glenn doesn't know is he does NOT own that AI album art; the makers of that AI own that Deicide art....I can't wait for them to claim a cut of his merch..._*
The Hoffman brothers are in for a good laugh.
Came for an honest review, got an honest review. Can't ask for more than that, cheers Blaine.
Dude, I thoroughly enjoy the creativity and comedy of your reviews. Even when I don’t necessarily agree every time. Even if you are slaying a band that I may happen to love (definitely not Deicide), I fucking still love watching you. Thank you for not being afraid to say what’s on your mind and not just as you say “rubber stamping” everything. Keep it up brother. 🤘🏻
Okay, so serious question, if Glen Benton used an AI to generate the lyrics, the AI would go through Glen Benton's previous lyrics as a reference, so wouldn't that still be Glen Benton's lyrics?
Deicide still kicks ass , don’t care what Blaine thinks still like hearing all there shit 🤘
I'm keen for this!
Im so excited to see if they do a review of the new six fEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEt under record
YA VOTED REAGAN, GLENNN
How? Glen was only 17 in 1984.
@@youcouldbelisteningtomusic442 unless i'm mistaken, he would've turned 18 in june that year, and then voted in november
Your best review yet. So honest and great points
What’s Blayne’s reason for “fuck god?” Not enough ill-fitting baseball caps falling from the sky?
Blayne don't change!! 90s teen loving your assessments (aka album reviews)! Kudos to the drivers license analogy. Every album by a band should give reason for listening not just become another number added to a dying catalog built on past successes. Keep killing it!!
Hope you guys review Inter Arma and Fraip Body soon
Excellent review!!!
You're supposed to review the album and the band not the individual. Sounds like you have a personal experience with Glen Benton. I doubt you'd talk that shot to his face Duhwayne
Recognize my dude.
Great review, thanks!
Still love Deicide
Necrot stomps all over this IMO.
Necrot has alot of hype but whenever I listen to all of their albums. It’s just meat and potatoes death metal. Literally nothing special
So does Inter Arma!
Ok kid. When your little basement band hits 35 years and 13 albums you let us know. Give me a break...
Maybe this, Blayne? Put down the bottle of Haterade and pick up the bottle of Greatorade!
Cheers for the review. Nice to hear your honest take. Haven’t heard it yet but I don’t doubt you’ve characterised it accurately.
This album rips from start to finish. Absolutely love it.
❤ 100%Agree
I really liked the one video I've seen off this album.
@@warface4881 I Like Them All
100%
The best since legion
It was perfect album loved it
Always nice to see a visit from Clippy.
I think it’s a good death metal album.
HA! Blayne's on fire! Quick, somebody get a bucket to put this record in.
I haven't heard the album, probably won't ever get around to it as I really only like the first 3 or 4 albums. It's Deicide, you already know what it's gonna be. Good on them for sticking around this long though.
I think if I want to listen to Deicide I’ll listen to their album Legion.
Udon Noodle String was my high school band name
While listening to it, I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed it. Now a day later I don’t really remember much about it. I think that kind of encapsulates my thoughts overall. It’s fine.
Can't blame you for being brutally honest about this album Blayne...me too...
Never been a fan of deicide however who is the band on your cap?The beholder record is killer!🔥⚔️💀🖤
Looks like a hooded menace cap
I can't work out if you dislike Glen Benton or not 🤔
This geek ruins the channel
@@pinkyellowblue007cry harder.
@@ridleysomeliana-lauer5814 I can't, I was born before the millenium.
Good review wish deicide would make a good album but it’s been awhile and this one’s rough …old but agree with you !
You should review and rank all of the albums
This may be my favorite review from Blayne. Hell yeah dude!
A bit pointless reviewing an album by a band that you've lost interest in for making sub par releases, was never going to be complimentary was it?
Could very easily be that the record was assigned to him for review z
Blaynerrrrrrrrr, if you aren't already busy, come to Duffy's Tavern on Bloor Wednesday night (May 1st) and check out Volcandra and Micawber! Volcandra's new album, The Way of Ancients, from March was amazing. Check it out. Volcandra is melodic black metal, with some thrash and death thrown in for good measure. Two sweet underground bands from Prosthetic Records looking for some support!
Gracias amigo 🙏😎
Deicide could be touring with Sebastian Bach as they are now on the same label
What’s a gun license?
I don’t agree with this review. From the snippers from what i’ve heard, i think Deicide sounds again like their heydays. Catchy tunes, brutal vocals, topnotch lead. For the first minute, i thought the Hoffman brothers were back!!! It sounds that good, it’s truly an hommage to their early riffing work!
Maybe it's just me but this seemed more like a review of Glen Benton than the actual album. Is there a history of hate with Blayne and Glen?
Stopped listening to Deicide around The Stench of Redemption. This is the first one since then that I think I kind of like. Not bad. At least 3.5 from me.
Solid album, great riffs, impeccable playing. Seems like the hip thing nowadays is just to complain about everything. Reminds me when Morbid Angel released Domination, the metal mags were all giving it like 2 stars and the same commentary from critics. They didn’t get it then and still don’t get it now. Why people say they like death metal but then not actually like death metal?
I'm really shocked that there are actually a handful of death metal artists (and pretty big names too) who have seemingly embraced AI art wholeheartedly and not even in an interesting way (e.g. I think the video for "No Place To Arrive" by Mizmor is a really cool use of AI imo) but in the most thoughtless and boring "generate me a demon head for my album cover" way.
Maybe this sounds really elitist but I was honestly hoping that in a genre that is basically entirely made up of dedicated fans and that generally values great cover art, bands would realize that shitting out something like this is really insulting. I can generate my own Deicide album art right now, I don't need you to do it for me Glen.
Pestilence and Hour of Penance have done something similar and the latter even have an AI music video for "Devotion for Tyranny" which looks really awful. High on Fire have one, too but at least that one looks a lot better I think..
Honestly really disappointing how quickly it infiltrated the scene.
Deicide had a huge influence on me. I was in a progressive death metal band back in the early 2000s, and Deicide's self-titled album shaped how I would do my death growls. I enjoyed Legion and liked Once Upon the Cross and Serpents of Light. Then I fell off until Scars of the Crucifix, which was alright. I loved Stench of Redemption, and then fell off again. I feel like Deicide was that "forbidden fruit" that I listened to as an angsty teenager who went to a catholic school, and now I've grown up LOL.
AC/DeiCide are churning them out on the reg, and pretty much like that popular Australian band don’t release anything bad per se, but it’s never mandatory either. The best we can hope at this point are albums with a slight upratchet in quality songwriting (like their last one or To Hell With God).
Never got Deicide. Fun review.
Funniest review in a while, well done 😂
I love a bit of death metal that knows what it is its getting quite rare. its what got me into it in the early 2000s someone needs to keep banging the drum to keep the fire smoldering so the others can experiment to make a name for themself. Nothing unique here, but it's deicide you know what you are getting. Personally I can throw the rest of the album but never doing a road trip again without 'Bury the cross with your christ' perfect song to blast in the car
Man! A true review...
Very good video. Stand against the commercial use of AI generated images and support art(ists) instead!
Clippy, man that is great!
Where's sam dun?
Dun dun duuun!
Do people want ai to stop evolving? I'm not criticizing them, just curious to know if that's what they want because i think most people would say they want technology to keep evolving, and ai it's part of that progress
Well done.
Easily could have just reviewed the new Darkthrone instead
prompt for AI cover: A Deicide album cover Paul Booth would make if he worked for Ubisoft.
"Different opinions are good"....coming from you thats is a bit rich
CLIPPY!
The name of the Dystopian record translates to: The forbidden depth, battle at the edge of the world. Note from the Dutch: not our fault noone in Northern America is bothered to learn another language.
Shame on you Blaine, this album deserves even less than 2.5 AI generated skulls
Album sounds great, production sounds good. Deicides performance on here is great. People wont stop believing in their gods and he isn't going to stop hating them. Again great effort. Your review was quite entertaining.
Your right , this guy is just a poser . I mean clearly a bias review and doesn't even know who the big 4 are . But anyways, the production to very good , some really nice catch riffs , very good solos. A solid deicide and death metal in general album for sure .
@@darthjason7019 His job is to get views and you cant get views without controversy and if everyone agrees with everything lol. I am surprised he talked that much trash about Glen Benton on the internet. Perhaps his inner child was crying because papa Glen wrote mean things about God again. You don't listen to Deicide like you would Sleeptoken or Periphery. They are supposed to sound raw, dated and older because they are! Classic death metal with modern sounding production. That the product they are marketing. I like it and have been dying to hear how classic metal bands material translates into modern sound production and it sounds amazing!
He is correct about the Spotify thing, but also at the same time 2 lefts don't make a right. Artists can't tour to finance themselves and cool album covers are essential for new listeners and merch sales, it's a symbiotic relationship.
Like the new album 😁🤘 it's heavy. it's fast. it's bad ass
shouldve reviewed the new disbelief album instead, they deserve the attention much more than these grifters.
EXHUMATION!
agreed!
Man, when I see Blaine on my feed, I click. Out of all the reviewers (who are all amazing and awesome) on this channel, Blaine is my favorite. Dude is hilarious and gives honest reviews. Keep it up!
Excelente álbum de deicide.
Le rompe el culo al último de cannibal.
9/10🤘🤘
The new guitarrist (Taylor) brought fresh blood to the band. Good album with some links with the first 4 albums
no, he had a horrible thrash style. and no, this album havent relation with fist 2 albums
100% agreed, some of the riffs sound more like inhuman condition but that's fine Taylor is great
Yes, sọme of the tracks and even sọmẹ of the guitar sọlos bear an uncanny resẹmblance tọ the Hoffman brothers’ compositions. This cọmes 20 years and 5 albums after the dẹparture of Eric and Brian. Onẹ wọnders whether Deicidẹ is nọw plagiarizing the Họffman brothers’ compọsitions from thẹ band’s gọlden agẹ.
@@too--late Glen & Steve like to claim they wrote everything (which is hilarious)
Big 4?!?!?
Dang...was hoping Blayne would have reviewed the new Morgul Blade rather than this generic DM drivel.
This album was fucking excellent, I'd listen to this over newer bands any day.
Mostly agree with Blayne. This couldn't be more of a meat-and-potatoes death metal album. And I'm not a Deicide hater either, I thought Overtures of blasphemy was their best album in a long time. But this one is dull as hell. Also wanted to acknowledge the shoutout for Beholder - great band! Their current (and previous) albums are definitely worth a listen if you like black-thrash.
i like the album the last Deicide album that i enjoyed was Scars
Furious with you? You're pure entertainment, man 😂
tell me more glenn
It's a solid listen but the songs feel really by the books.
For me this was a completely non-offensive, "okay" death metal release. It's not bad, but I likely would have never listened to it if it wasn't from a band like Deicide, and I have very little inclination to go back to it. ::shrug::
Oh my word!!!! 10:00 😂😂
Disappointing would be putting it mildly and I grew up with self titled / Legion etc.
AI art isn't rebellious or edgy as much as Glenn thinks.
No. Probably not, but Blayne really isn't as funny as he thinks he is either
@@rich5774 I concur.
Don't even want to watch this video! 😂 I just read the comments and I already have enough of it! 😂 I love Deicide and appreciate this album. All my respect to Blaine tho, love your style and humor but I just can't watch this 🤘
Best death metal album of the year.
XDDDDDD what a troll
Had to stop listening after 8 songs…so brutal…wore me out! Will finish today.
Here for this. Most hilarious Blayne review! LOL 😂
Factz tho
Best deicide album since scars of the crucifix 🤘 actually bought the CD a solid 8/10 easy
🤘🤘
I can guarantee if blaine doesn’t like an album, I’ll like it. The stuff he raves about is usually cack too
I hate the production (and, yes, the artwork) on this, but it's the best Deicide album in quite a while, in my opinion. I'm still going to grab the first album if I want to hear Deicide, though. I'll probably just listen to the new Nuclear Tomb instead. Thanks for the video, Blayne.
❤
Totally agree with you.
As a big Deicide fan,how could you not like Blayne. Funny bugger. I’ll get used to the album.
Wait isnt this guy dead? I tbought JB Bob sentenced him to the crocodile pit
This is the best one since legion. Yes, the best since legion
So Deicide became melodic death metal band :(
Look, yes, Deicides output of the last decade or 2 has been a bit repetitive shite, BUT, their first album is STILL soooooo good, that it more than compensates. :) Bring back the Hoffs, and theyll be good.
Glen Benton is the Gene $immons of death metal
