@@kangaroo3708 I think that's because we all saw it as just a movie and didn't even bother to think deep and try to connect the dots using the emotional perspective.... the depth of DC stories are simply just more than just meets the eye. And when you start taking this movie seriously and start thinking more and more about it from various perspectives and angles I can say this was a way better movie than anything that has come after the Dark Knight in the whole superheroes genre of movies.. Snyder was a gem of a director. This is what I felt and I am just saying...

Lucan Henrique indeed. Humanizing Superman is what makes his character engaging. He questions a lot of things especially when he has all this godlike powers yet he can't save all of them and starts getting depressed. This is why DCEU is somehow inspirational than just pure fanservice. I said this as a superhero fan, Marvel or DC, underrated or not it doesn't matter.
Henry Cavill is probably the best cast for superman. He has that Clark Kent look from the day he was cast

That is his flawed perspective as he is the type that has/wants to help (just like DCEU Superman), but just because one has great power, doesn't mean they have to do jackshit with it, as it is their choice, no one else's, no obligation. For example, if I gained even a fraction of Superman's power, I might help occasionally if I felt like it, but most of the time I'd just use it for things like looking cool by always hovering half an inch off of the ground, super strength to lift things, flying around to various places for my own enjoyment.

He risked his life two times to protect the planet and ultimately gave up his life to stop Doomsday. Obviously ressurecting him in the very next picture timeline wise would've been a horrible move.

sick of hearing people bash cavill as Superman. I grew up idolizing Christopher Reeve n then I gave up on Superman on the screen but Henry cavill made me believe Superman can be on screen again...comics can come to life. Reeve would appreciate what Cavill is trying to do with the character, which is more than the uncivilized haters can say. Maybe we won't get another good Cavill Superman movie, but we really only had two out of four with Reeve, and that would be a great tragedy. Man of Steel was a great, but it wasn't enough to continue building for one or two before taking the next step.

Parademons disliked this video. This is the best version of Superman by far. He is not the alien he was, he is a human that has extra ordinary powers and the same emotions we feel. He is relatable and the real world is a challenge for him. He has to battle through it on a daily basis just as we all do. It really makes me extremely sad (and kind of angry), that all those sellout critics and the idiotic majority of the audience who couldn't even understand the feelings and plot of MOS and BVS, made this greatly crafted universe to fall apart, we almost had a high quality DC Universe adaptation series leaded by a true artistic genius, and now, that dream is almost gone...
To be fair, the version that released was the theatrical cut which isn’t the best version of the film. I’ve seen the ultimate cut so many times. I’ve only seen the theatrical cut once and that was when it came out, I remember not liking it. The UE should’ve been released to begin with

what I see in DC its just like I'm watching a modern rennaisance painting its hard to understand and deep meaning that people choose to hate it but incoming future this will become a masterpiece in a modern film.
"The symbol of the House of El means Hope." The emotion that I felt the most from Snyder's DC movies, especially Man of Steel was hope. People complain about his Superman, claiming that he dosent get it. But in my opinion. I don't think you can get any more Superman than that. I like that his version of Superman wasent happy all the time. I like that he felt the weight of what was going on around him and that it actually effected him. Because in reality I think that's how it would effect all of us if we were in his shoes, or cape :). But dispite what people thought of Clark, he continued to do his best, to be the best hero he could be. And in a way that's all Zack Snyder ever did either. Continue to be the best director he could, make something he loved, and hoped we would love it to. And thankfully, I did :).
So glad we got the Snyder Cut. Now it's time for #restorethesnyderverse

These movies are apart of my childhood and i love them. Seeing these gods have Struggles hit me hard as a kid.
This is an incomplete truth. People are like sheep. They will hate what the media or the crowd says is the enemy. Very few care for critical questioning. Some people are such losers who will never accept to see the good in other. These also will hate and believe the worst in someone who at least looks to be a better person.
Humanity wasn't ready for such masterpieces, let alone a real Superman. I got goosebumps and tearing up watching MoS and BvS now. Kevin Costner and Diane Lane did a great job playing as the best parents in the Universe, it makes me even more sad cause their characters reminds me of my granpa and grandma.

It must not be forgotten how Amy Adams excelled in the emotional scenes, sometimes without even saying a word. Her expressions were superlative.
Snyder is not a god or a genius. He's a guy with an honest idea who makes what he loves and chooses to make what makes sense to him.
His work, is his own art. When his art got destroyed, we all felt it. Its okay when you don't love his vision, because he made something that doesn't please the masses, because of that his work is timeless, ageless.
I wanna see more creatives take risks the way he does.

there are so many similarities with the Superman's character in movie world and real world that resembles jesus life.
1st in Snyder's Superman origins. Zor - el send is his son to earth in an ideal of striving towards hope and connecting bridge between two worlds. in a belief that in time Superman will make mankind grow stronger and together. and will be the ideal of hope. similar to jesus life, God sent his son to bring help to mankind and give an ideal of hope and love. And to connect between two worlds (earth humans with Heaven)
Now MoS had mixed response of superman's characters. Just like it explained in the movie. People will freak out when get to know about a powerful character. People will hate what they don't understand. almost sums up the hate for MoS and BvS . Sames a jesus. coz there were many generals n roman politicians who instilled fear of jesus to the people.
in BvS Superman's was attacked politically and he was helpless. Even though he helped people whenever at time of need. Same with jesus as he still loved people who met him. and his followers grew more n more that Roman kings n generals started attacking and plotting against him.
in the end of BvS superman sacrificed himself for the sake of mankind. and Jesus also sacrificed himself for the sake of mankind.
Now as we know at easter , Jesus got resurrected from his grave/tomb. And then the whole got to know that he is son a of god. and gave rise to Christianity. and we just saw a glimpse of Superman's resurrection in BvS. and in JL superman is definitely getting resurrected .. and also DCEU directors and owners have said that this time Superman is gonna be the superman everyone knows. Thus it makes sense. Finally fans will be seeing the beloved Superman after resurrection. if done perfectly People are going to follow a DCEU in future. Thus in time People will follow you Kal El. In time fans, haters and everyone will strive together for future filled with hope.

Just that I already love this Superman we saw. He inspires me. All I want to see is a resurrected character that feeds on the one that sacrificed himself. I don't want him regretting his life. Don't treat him like they treated Jason Todd before Red Hood appeared. Superman was not a failure.

Here after watching the Snyder Cut, and it’s absolutely beautiful and perfect. Hoping that Warner Bros doesn’t abandon Snyder’s vision for future films.
