It feels like Superman is different from the one in MoS. That one didn't really have much emotional depth, we didn't know much about him other than 'He wants to do good' & not a care in the world for the destruction of Metropolis or collateral damage. This one accepts who he is, remembering why he was sent to earth, his family and what his next move is.
Superman's greatest superpowers are his patience, his calmness and his restraint. He could annihilate any source of even irritancy in seconds, but doesn't. Think about that the next time you swat a fly or splat a mosquito. Notice, he doesn't kill Steppenwolf. It was WW who beheads him. Superman knows that the vision of him killing would only cause people to fear him, and he doesn't want THAT. He wants to inspire humanity to their highest, best ideals.

Well evil Superman was due to the anti-life equation used by Darkseid. It bends anyone’s will to Darkseid. Lois’ death was probably the point where he was weakest mentally and easy to manipulate, that or Darkseid managed to use the equation on him beforehand and forced him to kill Lois.

I just did watch the justice league of zack Snyder’s cut. It was amazing. I like both marvel and DC but I always have been a Superman fan . I loved this movie. Deserves more respect ✊
Somehow JLSC redeems many of the problems or "problems" of MoS / BvS. I was kinda miffed about the grimdark approach but now that I got a glimpse of what Snyder wanted to accomplish I am a believer. It could be more limited in scope since after all DC has only few "known" heroes around their Holy Trinity but it could be more concise and perhaps with more meaning, more social commentary and definitely more pathos than MCU. Dog gamnit.

This wonderful tribute makes me to really want Zack Snyder's Justice League 3. Zack himself said JL3 would have been a full on Superman film. It was the culmination of Cavill Superman's entire arc, that started with Man Of Steel.
Everything he experienced, the rise and fall of the symbol of hope, the whole journey, finally joining together to make him the apex of the DC Heroes' pyramid, aka the classic Superman from the comics, and *leading* the entire world against Darkseid's forces in the final film of Zack Snyder's 5 film arc, which had Superman at its heart.

@@leelee-uq5ui the normal reasons most people said. There aren't many jokes😂, Superman was too powerful and boring, he was out of his mind while fighting general zod..reasons like that. But after re-watching after 4 years I loved the movie. I understood why Superman was out of his mind, why he cried after killing general Zod and how good Zack made the final fight especially considering their insane super strength. After watching MoS and BvS for the third time I really appreciated Snyder's film making and became a fan. I hope WB will restore the Snyderverse

BvS is easily one of the most misunderstood films ever made, not just cb films. To have reviews as bad as Batman and Robin just shows that reviewers completely missed the point.

To simply because the film is called batman v superman. And we only got a 10min fight between the two.

Zack himself said he had no say on the title of the movie which again allows the marketing to skew the actual meaning of the film. The film is about character study, deconstruction, and thematic through-lines that are used to set up future story moments and parallels. Too many people went into BvS expecting pow boom action explosion transformers…
@@amurtiger7410 lol ,it was indeed batman vs superman , the hate against each other's ideologies , the contradicting thoughts of both, it was more of a psychological warfare than an actual fight, watch the dark knight returns, it had similar batman vs superman fight sequence and it's only 10 minute longer , y'all should be glad that superman was too friendly and just wanted to talk things out with bruce but the rage of batman was not easy to control ,he could've ended batman in seconds .

*I noticed something interesting in the Snyder cut and I wanted to here peoples thoughts:*
Superman doesn’t seem quite the same. He seems....different. He opts for the all black suit when he clearly had the opportunity to use his regular one. Even after he defeats steppenwolf, he continuously pummels steppenwolf over and over and over again. And then he cuts steppenwolfs horn off which was incredibly painful. It doesn’t seem in Superman’s character to be so brutal. There was a scene where pretty much the entire justice league stood there watching Superman continuously laser and pound the already beaten steppenwolf. I mean....steppenwolf had stopped fighting pretty much at that point. I don’t know if volatile is the right word to use, but Superman definitely seems different.This is connected with the knightmare. Before Superman returns to life, the AI in the kryptonian ship says “the future has taken root in the present.” It also is connected with “Lois is the key.”
I think the knightmare is going to happen, and that the plot of the next justice league movie will be to free Superman from the influence of the anti life equation. I feel that Superman will get more and more volatile over time. There was simply too much foreshadowing in the Snyder cut.
Yes, the motherboxes are supposed to be neutral change engines, but, seeing as they are apokoliptian tech, I feel as though they have a negative bias. Seeing that a mother box brought Superman back, I think it might have done something to him.

Interesting theory but the black suit was chosen for iconic resurrection of Superman and in the movie they didn't say it but in comic in animation they said the black suit absorb sun's radiation better than normal Superman suit. He just got resurrected and quite weak ,so he used black suit and his flight scene shows that he us embracing his role in this world as a savior. Stephenwolf clearly Survived that attack of Superman and Aquaman who stabbed him coz Aquaman is brutal normally and warrior Dianna killed him not others.
Steppenwolf was not beaten and not fighting back. He was being subdued by superman. A being that powerful needs force like that to stay put so cyborg could do his thing.

@@doapsoap4873 steppenwolf would need to be subdued like that if wonder woman and aqua man beat him. Steppenwolf wasn’t anywhere close to Superman in terms of power and did not require being continuously subdued. This is further proved when Darkseid opens the portal. The entire justice league turns to the portal and steppenwolf stays down up to the point where he slowly gets up and is stabbed by Arthur.
