Don’t put yourself down Chuck, you make sure the conversation stays accessible for the non-Astrophysicists in the audience!
Two scientists, a comedian and an astronaut walk into a bar.....
I would go back to bar tending for this party!
That blues song was the best. Great episode. I'd love to see this crew more often!
He shoulda said tune instead of song
chuck nice has me cracking up im glad they made him part of the show. i enjoy all of the information given from the panel. chuck just makes this even more enjoyable. Glad to have u chuck. 13:28 is hilarious
I'm 12 min. in and this is already my favorite Startalk ever. Give Dr. Tyson a few oz of beer and let him talk. hahaha Lightweights are always fun.
Reminds me of my family’s kitchen table lol
This episode was outstanding! The Astrobiology Blues should be taught in all classrooms across this planet.
Really awesome panel, truly one of the realest, most human discussions on this show. These are the shoulders of giants, and yes Chuck, you are one of them too.
it was too good, 40 minutes went by like 10, thanks guys.
Especially for Chuck.
i fell exactly the same way i enjoyed every sec
I could have hung out with this conversation forever! That was so good. Thank you for just this moment of feeling so much like hanging out with my brothers in highschool but only with genius instead of philosophy.
That blues song was awesome. 👏👏 Best episode I've watched so far. 👍☺
I got that astrobiology blues! 😂😂😂😭
What a quality situation this is, 40 mins of my life I'm happy to give away. I kept relating to chuck like every 3 minutes too Lol, watch his mannerisms too funny
How had I not seen this before now. Neil needs way more StarTalks like this. That song was fantastic. This is great!
What a great song. I was not expecting that. That really moved me. Are we alone in the cosmos is the bluesiest question one could ask.
the tears begin at 32:55. your welcome. i love that they were drinking too. it was a very honest discussion that was great to watch.
Gotta say, this was really a great episode! Everyone just relaxed and talking about their passion
Chuck you are the humble canary in the coal mine. You give them some grounding to their audience. It is always very fun with comedians.
8:56 when Chuck almost spills beer out of his mouth over Neil's excessive "Here's what I'm sayin" 🤣😅
I love you guys! I'm watching every day! Thank you for the many laughs and brain explosions!!!
Lord have mercy! Why am I just now seeing this episode?!?!?!?!!!! Its SOOOOO FREAKIN' HILARIOUS!
The blues and cosmos? who knew they would jell this good.
I love this so much, I feel like I'm hanging out with folks that actually understand me it is unbelievable how much our interests are similar
The fast part in the blues -
When I was a kid I wanted to study the stars and everyone told me I wouldn't make anything of that even as a straight A student through high school, I went to college for chemical and power engineering because I was told that was the only way I would make something of myself, I ran out of money because I was paying for it myself and rent isn't cheap, now I'm a reactor entry technician, I risk my life every day to contribute to the destruction of the world. How do you contribute to your beliefs when you have to survive supporting everything against your values?
Time to start working on fusion instead.
find out a way to harvest tritium
shaking like tremolo Remember me when you are a trillionaire!
Turn your experience into research. Remember aloof those "evil" scientists in cartoons? Just don't turn evil.
You made me think there was a hair on my screen
Song was hilarious. Keep it coming.
up.
Could y’all make a annual slightly sauced Star Talk? Make it, 2 or 3 hours with multiple guests? With music...
Neil is even better after a few drinks.
that song was everything!!! I love this show!!! greetings from China!
It's hilarious how drunk Chuck is...not drunk enough to be totally out of it, but just to have his inhibitions lowered. He's interrupting, smiling a lot, looking left and right, head-bobbing, making weird comments...
And most of all, he just can't leave that glass alone, he keeps searching for hidden reserves of cosmic beer somewhere on the bottom :D
SelfReflective lmao! 😂😂😂
These two are awesome, cool conversations always
It's like Im sitting in ten forward. So cool
Dan Bee
lmao chuck took one sip of beer and went crazy
Song gave me the goose bumps omg I loved it so much
Drunk Chuck is hilarious.
Love you, buddy.
Very nice song. Nailed it!
They should send this astrobioligist blues song in the next voyager
I was holding my hit, waiting for Dr Funkyspoon to finish his lyric, I almost passed out. 😤
Thank you for your calming and stimulating content! Your channel helps me get through my panic attacks. 🖤🖤🖤🤓🎩
Now that's what I call StarTalk After Hours!
3 scientists and a comedian sittin' around drinking, playing guitar, and talkin' science. sounds like a good time
Dr. Neil is feelin' it..😎😎
Thank you!
Excited to see what happens at 21:15 'ish to make buddy put his guitar down.
I really liked max on big bang theory!!! He adds soooo much to the whole thing!!!!
Black and white TV, Mission Control. Beep, beep beep. I remember it well.
Best Startalk ever
Dr Tyson has one of those voices that works like the higgs field, you slow down and listen, pretty cool
could yeast help start terraforming of venus ????? might be a little uncomfortable at first
met mike massimino in person in NYC last year, seems like a really nice guy
Neil staring at the camera for ages near the end looking drunk was hilarious to me..
I, absolutly and without a doubt, Loved It !!!!! Great song !
Best blues ever.
Go guys
Can you please put that Astrobiologist Blues song on Itunes?
You guys are great!
These guys are all buzzed it’s wonderful
That song is crazy, love it. If it was in Itunes, I'd totally download it....#wicked
Can he release that song on iTunes please😂

Neil bobbing his head as soon as the music kicked in 👍🎶
This is the most awesome thing I’ve seen
It's Mass from TBBT!!
The Ninkasi Brewery is just down the street from my house. How awesome that they sent beer.
The one advantage of living on Venus is you can order a pizza and it'll be ready in 2 seconds
Ok this is my new favorite episode ....can you guys do more episodes like this one please #StarTalk
10:56 "Alright, so now here's what I'm...this is what I'm...wait...I'm just gonna say this...I'm gonna say this...all I'm gonna say is:" - ver batim quote of high quality content right there.
NDT, the BB king of Astrophysics and Science Education.
you guys look buzzed ! especially Chuck! I love it!
I would love to go back in time and meet dr. tyson as a 14 year old kid... they should make a movie about his life and call it starstruck!
Thank you for the directions. More Nasa photos please! ☆♤☆
Fantastic Blues with message.
Hey Neil big fan
I remember when i went to as small town in Ontario called kenora this summer. popular vacation town during august long weekend. and my friend lived on a reserve about 20 minutes out and one night we were just sitting outside and we saw what we thought was a plane but it was moving too constant and and had no blinking lights so we thought it was a satellite but it was too slow and bright and in that instant i knew... it was the ISS... i quickly pulled out my phone and googled the current location and there you go. there it was. right above me. people. 400 kilometers above me. and it just blew me away.... it really was jaw dropping. i was just standing there dancing that i was able to see the ISS.
I'm waiting for one of them to say, "You... you... you don't... I love you, man." Then fall of his chair and start snoring.
So universe chose Neil to be an astrophysicist, and construction worker guys chose me to be civil engineer I think there's not much of different 😂
This is how all of the star talks should be 😂
Yeast is a member of the Fungi Kingdom
Why can't I find friends like you all?! I'm tired of talking about bullshit that doesn't matter, let's talk about bullshit that'll change the world and the way we think!
My favorite episode
"It happened on February 29th, a year ago... " that cannot be possible! lol
8:55 Chuck Nice... LOL
Yeast is a fungus man. In low gravity it might grow larger and grow thicker cell walls making it distinct in physical structure and ability to digest sugars. I don't know if it will change the taste.
I was going to debate you but upon a simple look up, your right it's been categorized on its own kingdom now.
Good point!
Lol Neil deGrasse Tyson's face when the other doctor funky spoon said uncle Carl (Carl Sagan) lol hahahahaha he had to show boat lol yup he went their lol.
I love that song!
An astronaut, an astrophysicist and an astrobiologist walk into a bar . . .
Take it away, Chuck!
much better than normal tv!!!! Jam on!!!
The dialogue is definitely better on the sauce lol
amazing!!
It was, "That's one small step for "a" man." "One giant leap for mankind.". First of all "Man" hmm. (humans perhaps?) Secondly, "A" was not heard from the garbled transmission.
You guys do great stuff. (I'm one of those comment people now)
It actually makes no sense saying ,"man" without "a". (singular)
I love NdGT!
15:35
Tyson: We have 40% of our DNA identical with that of Yeast.
Chuck (with drooling eyes): IS THAT FOR REAL?
Chuck is just a perfect fit for this show! :D
When the astronaut asked the biologist what is yeast he replied "a mass of cells". Riddle me this biologist wtf on earth that is alive is not a mass of cells? 😂😂
Astrobiology blues is fucking amazing 😂😂😂
Bruv the astrobiologist blues were awesome. Some of these geniuses are really more like polymaths huh
Chuck had too much to drink
Oh yeah, right? He's drunk.
If you attach a watch to a baseball and throw it 100 miles an hour back and forth, how long would it take to notice a difference in that clocks time from ours.
Astro Mike is one of those guys who'd be interesting to drink a beer with - and I don't even rink beer
I wish startalk should have more beer and more scientists on. It should be a rule to have more scientists than comedian/actors on any one show.
awesome song...
LMAO "Tyson that's what makes you a scientist and not a republican!"
Right! So funny 🤣
Awesomeeeee song
Neil's face at 25:36 is astronomic
chuck is hammered lol
Was that calculation for Venus daytime or night time, and if daytime, would the small factor of the SUN’s radiation on the pizza being stronger make a non-negligible impact? And did you factor in the wind already ?
