    In this video, we will try to give you an overview of what these two professional 3d software are capable of and how they are used across different 3d computer graphics industries.

      I started off in the digital world with coding, and for me, a node based system makes a lot more sense. Thus I find Houdini easier to use. Like Nic Tanghe said, it probably depents on your background.

      Nic Tanghe the reason Houdini is harder for most of the Artists out there is because of how different it is from the rest of the 3D packages out there. Most artist get a headache when thinking about anything to do with programming. I personally love it but most of my collages and friends find it really hard to get into it

    Can anyone please explain difference between motion graphics & vfx..

    • @UltimateMadWorld
      @UltimateMadWorld Před 4 lety

      Vfx is really an acronym for special effects that alter the appearance of a image or subject but motion graphics is often reserved in animations say a car chase or an explosion for example. But really they're applications in animations maybe specified to different areas but the principals are more or less the same! With that said, vfx companies such as Industrial Light Magic have moved along way since the days of using small scale models to achieve specific visual effects using props but they are still not entirely obsolete in the digital vfx age due to time constraints etc. With the abundance of green screen film studios using 3d Max, Houdini, 4d Cinema etc it is unfortunate that software's such as Blender are not normally preferred by film studios & filmmakers due to compatibility constraints!

    • @umersaleem9940
      @umersaleem9940 Před 4 lety +4

      Motion graphics are generally animated images, texts and geometric shapes whereas visual effects are the effects which give illusions of reality without their existence in real world e.g. gun flash, explosions, virtual fluids/oceans, particles, transformation can be used without actually shooting them on camera and only creating their virtual replicas in 3d softwares.

    • @UltimateMadWorld
      @UltimateMadWorld Před 4 lety

    Houdini is not difficult to learn. People tend to say that because they heard that and just repeat. It’s some confirmation bias. Houdini is like every other softwares. You learn it and that’s good, with some difficulties because of old habits, like other softwares nothing less. It’s very powerful but not difficult as most people seems to repeat. Sometimes, I think people like to say something is difficult because in our mind, more difficult/complicated equals more value in mastering 🤷‍♂️ but Houdini is not harder than the others.

    4d, much like aftereffects, is only useful if you doing your own stuff at home or freelancing. Movie and animation vfx dont use it at all.
    Also, In VFX pipelines Houdini does not replace 3d softwares, it works on top of everything else, that is why it was embraced into the pipeline. If it was supposed to replace Maya, it would have never worked.
