@darknightoftroy wait, chesscom published their different methods in stats and algorithm that indicated much more cheating by Hans than Dlugy. Hans did not respond at all and so how is he getting more respect than Dlugy if he has a dark coverup history of cheating with chesscom that robbed players for years and is not being addressed by Hans at all? Hans is literally ignoring it and trying to misdirect. Lots of ppl in the GM circle finally found out their suspicions weren't unfounded after all, and for years they were forced to put up with Hans.

    • @tor13128
      @tor13128 Před rokem +5

@darknightoftroy well, you'd only be taking my word for it if nobody knows this news but me (but this report is public). and yes, "sometimes" not responding is more respectable, but we have a defined situation here, so using the word "sometimes" is as ambiguous as saying "sometimes silence is an admission of guilt." There's no reason to say "sometimes" as if we can't define the current situation. This is definitely not one of those times where you remain quiet out of "respect" (in fact makes no sense).
In addition, Wesley So literally said with quotes on how Hans specifically tends to disrespect ppl. Therefore, Hans has a history of disrespect with quotes from Wesley (and im sure more GMs have more quotes).
it's crazy how ppl are purposely ignoring all of hans's negative history even though history is vital in all professional settings, from hospitals to security to law.

Glad you addressed the most obvious stupid thing Dlugy claims at the very beginning. Does he actually think we believe that he was giving multiple candidate moves to his students, getting suggestions from them, and evaluating them before playing them in a 3+2 blitz game? That's insulting to our intelligence and says a lot about the man himself that he can't even come up with a more convincing lie.

"Even though I used the word mentor in the telephone conversation it was pretty clear I was not involved with anything to do with Hans' preparation for the game". Mentor definition: noun
an experienced and trusted adviser, verb advise or train (someone, especially a younger colleague). It was pretty clear. Clear as mud. The only thing that is pretty clear is that Dlugy was probably trying to take credit for Hans play against Magnus in his chat with that guy when Hans beat Magnus and he 's now trying to distance himself.

Man, that story is implausible. If it were true should expect to go into minute detail to genuinely convince people. But he doesn't, instead he presents himself as a victim - to discredit and belittle the accusations. Manipulative and suspicious reaction to suspicious behaviour.

The way he just flat out said that NYC businesses are extremely defensive of their turf actually is a testament to Hikaru's honesty. Trust me people involved with syndicates or such wouldn't publicly say such a thing. It's refreshing to see Hikaru knows how things go but isn't himself invested in these types of things.

How can you take a private company to public court because they banned you from their business? They have the right to refuse service / business to any customer, for any reason, except if on the basis of a protected class (e.g. gender, race).

Hikaru is just preachin truth. Amen. I love how he's not playing the statements game as he knows he's just in the right and has nothing to hide, and no need to plan "how he's gonna say" the f'in truth.
Obviously as the description of this video shows, he is not backing down or afraid to hurt some people's feelings, but being gentle and "letting this go quietly" would actually be the unethical thing to do. It's just wrong to lie, and a lie can't be "the last word".
I do hope however that Hikaru will show restraint because this is not an even contest. I believe now is the time to just be bigger than this, and ignore Dlugy from now on. No need to push an unstable man over the edge.

I’m SO GLAD that Dlugy came out as a raving lunatic, that now I’m totally hooked. Hans split the community, one side of SJWs feeling sorry for him and believing every word he says, and the other side being more objective and realizing his long-established pattern of deception. But now that Maximum Delusion has entered the fold it’s only further casting doubt on Hans and his reprehensible character. Mostly I want the whole drama to be done with, banning these two for life from competition, but a part of me wants to see this escalate until the whole world sees them for their true nature.

-deflecting blame (for one's own behavior!) to "the leakers"
-making utterly ridiculous and implausible excuses for wrong behavior
    -throwing underlings under the bus
-blaming those who call you out or try to hold you accountable, saying they have a vendetta against you, and they are the bad guys
-trying to make arguments in "court of public opinion" but not seeking legal remedies as there is no case
    -resorting to conspiracy theories
