I was not physically abused but I was emotionally abused by an ex-girlfriend of mine and I can confirm, abuse can ruin a person's life. It isn't a thing to joke about lightly and it's especially not something to make money off of promoting. Any kind of abuse leaves a mark, some more severe than others. In my case, I developed anxiety and self-esteem issues simply because I allowed her to walk all over me for over half a year. Abuse is not fun.

My mom was in an abusive relationship with my biological dad before he committed suicide. I had to defend her multiple times, so this hits very close to home, my mom almost died because of it. He threatened my mom with a knife while saying ‘I’ll kill all of you and then I’ll kill myself’. Thank you Kurtis for making this video and bringing light on this subject because that money he made could help alot of women and men who are in a relationship like that rn.

I really disagree. Yes, this is something everyone should do, but that's not the case. Not everyone does, it's the minority. It's not even expected of people or normalized. When people go out of their way to do good things that they don't necessarily have to in this society, they should be praised. Genuinely, this means a lot to me. Mr. Balls has made a prank of at least 3 of very traumatic events that have happened to me personally, and have happened to a lot of my clients who are going through divorce, custody battles, and getting TPO’s. It’s a scarring event that will change someone’s entire nervous system, and ruins lives. So to see one of my favorite influencers took this seriously enough to donate money to a charity that helps survivors and victims...it means a lot. Plus making a separate video about how terrible and how traumatizing it is makes me feel like someone gives a shit. So, thank you. I can’t tell you enough how much it means to me and to survivors who have to deal with the trauma of this daily.

I was in 2 extremely abusive relationships for a total of 10 years it was the worst thing I’ve ever gone through something that happened to me almost every day for 10 years.. when I watched that video I was absolutely appalled I had to pause it several times to even get through it. Just sad that people can make light of a very serious issue like that and to call it a prank is so demeaning to me. (I know this is an old video but I've been binging your stuff lol) I really like that you donated to a shelter that helps men as well, I feel like abused men don't get near as much support as they should, considering they make a high number of victims as well. (And that's not to say the women's shelters and support isn't great and very needed too, they just often overshadow victims of the other sex, so it's nice to see an organization that supports both)
