It's worth noting that steering of the Kettenkrad was not only done by the front wheel. When turned beyond a certain point, the handlebar would engage track brakes to improve steering. It could even be used without the front wheel.
The front wheel is also a kind of " climbing helper" .
I never really understood why they even bothered having the front wheel on that thing in the first place

Хорош этот БАТ (большой артиллерийский тягач) был, да только топлива много жрал. Ещё есть ИМР, похожая техника, но для других целей.
Для тех времён, когда его создавали, бензин стоил дешёво. Опирайтесь на этот фактор.

Russia seems to do things like how the Star Wars Empire does things with Tie Fighters. Mix and mach parts from several vehicles.
Most machinery I hear about from Russia can only operate from pure determination from the operator. And if they can't get it to work, then the Machine is really messed up.
This is one of the dumbest things I've read from foreigners about Russian tech

Такое чудо нашли. Поставить сраный кузов локомотива на автомобильное шасси. Типа рамного автобуса получилось из готовых агрегатов к тому же.
В Канаде есть намного круче внедорожные автобусы на арочных шинах - функциональные, технологичные и эстетичные. А не эта колымага в одном экземпояре сделанная и сгнившая давно под забором. Нашли чудо-автомобиль мля. Носятся с ним двадцать лет будто бы это не какая-то Машка зарыганная, а Боинг -747 на всратом МАЗовском шасси.😂
