Background noise (music) needs to go. Just saying. Why does everybody do this? It's a mystery :O)
I love how the narration actually tries to pronounce the abbreviation of VsKfz as an actual word rather than an actual german abbreviation
Interesting. Thanks.
Great video. Thanks for sharing
They were created in the 70s? By the Soviets?
The Fordson Snow Motor has been around since the 20s
Perocc looks like Husky, Meerkat, Cougar, and a Buffalo had a love child.😂
I love it. It's great for getting around in all weather and most terrain. It adds oxegyn to water for fish and you can till the soil for planting crops. Looks fun to drive . Maybe a bit rough suspension wise.😁👍
That was awesome.
The first vehicle with the rollers is actually a Zil drive, i have seen the prototype in Valdez Alaska, Henry Ford was testing this in the 20s, and there's video of this
Isn’t that the Solway Firth spaceman in the photo? That guy really gets around!
Ford had a screw drive tractor back in the 1920's
It's a swedish design
The Raumer S looks remarkable like the combat vehicle from Alien 2
This channel does not use photoshopped clickbait thumbnails. b
The one in the beginning with the screw drive instead of track's is the one my previous comments are referring to.
Weird and a great imagination
Those two crazy German trucks are straight out of Warhammer 40K.
Chrysler built a prototype like that first Russian one.
I saw the Räumer S (seen at 4:33) during my service in the Bundeswehr already in a book about special vehicles of the Wehrmacht. It never came out about the prototype status, so it is hardly known.
The Raumer looks like the swamp buggys used for racing now
it's a swedish design
Is the second truck in this video was made in the Leopard M1A1 Chassis?
Correct. It is BARV, not BRV - poster is just drop-dead-wrong.
Because it have never bee produser for use!
ok... like i dont know whats the point to give gun to engineering vehicle. it wont protect it against helicopters as we saw it. only it will make it more expensive
The 'cabin' of the Hippo BRV is not like the 'helm' of small boat. The helm is where you steer from, whence comes the saying, 'Being at the helm'. The cabin is the cabin, which ever way you look at it. You show some really interesting items but you Americans really do get your English mixed up at times. Similarly, 'It's main 'utility' is rescuing stranded landing craft. It's not a utility vehicle. It is designed for a specific purpose. Therefore, it's main 'function (or purpose)' is to 'recover' stranded landing craft. You would normally 'recuse' people or, ships at sea, not grounded equipment. The Hippo is an Armouned RECOVERY Vehicle. On the PEROCC (fascinating vehicle),' ..It's construction is constructed of....' It is constructed of..
Probably all crap compared to conventional trucks. Speed, fuel economy, and reliability matter too.
I know nobody cares, but this is called
“screw propulsion”.
Fred Flintstone used roller propulsion on his hot rods…. 😂
Because it was a bad truck
Unwatchable. The narrators voice makes me sick to my stomach.
Why most people don't know about that is cuz they're like me and really don't care
👎👎👎
