Introducing: Blackened Copper

  • In this video we introduce a Traditional Concentrated Patina called Blackened Copper. Blackened Copper provides a light grey to a black patina, often with a hint of brown on bronze, brass, and copper. Concentrated patinas must be diluted with distilled water but otherwise work similar to other cold reactive finishes in the Traditional lines.

    Another factor here that I don’t think was mentioned but is always important in determining the reaction time: temperature, temperature, temperature. 85F in workshop on a hot summer day is very different than 65F in a workshop on a cool winter day.

    How long does the clear guard last before gives up as a protector

      Really just depends on what it is exposed to. If you are worried about it though it may be worth while upgrading to the Ever Clear.
