Bill Bailey is intelligent, clever, witty and uses his extensive musical skills to provide excellent British comedy. He has lampooned the musical styles of bands such as Rammstein, Kraftwerk etc. whilst able to play a wide variety of musical instruments, rewriting songs in his own wicked style. There are many CZcams videos showing his talent.
He's an amazing talent. On so many levels.
And such a gentle soul, hearing him talk about losing his close friend Sean Lock breaks my heart.
He really could have been worse.

I saw Bill Bailey live a few months ago here in Australia. At one point he dissed Coldplay and said their music sounds better in Turkish. And for the next 5 minutes he sang Coldplay's "Yellow" in Turkish and got us to join in. So random and brilliant 🤣
Definitely need to do more Bill. He's not only very funny, but he's a virtuoso on so many weird instruments. You could ask him to perform a comedic political song on a sitar in the style of a Danish jazz band and he'd do it.

Bill Bailey was a really close friend of Sean Lock. They would regularly go on holiday together with their families and I can only imagine how funny it must have been when those two were having a beer together 😂

Bill bailey is definitely one you need to add into your rotation. Intelligent, immensely musically talented. All of his stand up shows are absolute joys. He also did a special called his guide to the orchestra where he explains every section of the orchestra using comedy and his immense talent. I'm sure everyone will agree with me on watching the whole stand ups when you guys get a chance. Great content guys and best wishes from Ireland

Bill is Brilliant. An excellent comedian and a great musician. Also a dedicated wildlife enthusiast and conservationist. His variations on the old "three men walk into a pub" jokes are hilarious. It's worth catching some of the sitcom he mentioned ("Black Books") too.

I've seen him live, he's amazing. Seems to be able to play any style of music, on any instrument you can imagine, using brand new lyrics, all based on random suggestions from the audience.
Bill live is definitely an experience. I was at one gig in Oxford, ten or twelve years ago now - we dragged him back on stage for eight or nine encores, one of which involved him teaching the audience how to actually sing "La Bamba", and he wouldn't stop until we got it right.
Agreed. Nobody does what he does. It is a unique experience and one you can't explain, afterwards. You have to be there.
Saw him some years ago, he was heckled and ripped the annoying drunk audient member to pieces with a few choice words which made everyone else roar with laughter.
I still recall the very first time I saw him live; I was in pain from laughing so much! He really has mastered the art of riffing off the audience. Sadly when he progressed to doing arena tours the gigs lost a lot of that rapport due to the sheer scale. Fortunately, he's gone back to doing more "intimate" venues again which far better suit his style.
He's also quite the dancer among all his other talents. He won Strictly come dancing. His routine to Rapper's Delight is iconic!

Saw him live. One of the best live acts I've ever seen. Also, laughed so much my ribs hurt and I nearly suffocated. The best thing about it was it was like sitting on the couch in the living room with a bunch of really good friends taking the piss. He played the audience like an instrument
Worked with Bill a couple of times in the 90's, Can honestly say that I have never enjoyed any gigs more than his. Musical genius with an equal comedic talent.

Bill Bailey is an amazing musician, multi instrumentalist. He is extremely intelligent, not only that but very wise too. From the West Country, he sometimes slips into his West Country accent. He can often be found sitting cross legged on a tree stump in the middle of the forest, contemplating, and giving out little pearls of wisdom. He is known down here as the Dalai Farmer. Watch ANYTHING with his name in it, you can not go wrong, he's not too bad

Bill is probably the most versatile talented performer , it seems there is nothing he can't do . He won Strictly come dancing , seemingly effortlessly , he seems to be able to play almost any musical instrument and his comedy is so versatile . Always worth watching anything he is in .

When a saw Bill live a few years ago in my home town, had to go to the hospital afterwards, due to the cramp in my jaw that was agonising due to bloody laughing too much, Bill is a genius on so many levels, glad you lads have had a little taster of this legend.

Bill Baily is often on QI think he is the second most apeearences on there, hw is always good on it and I am sure there will be a Bill Baily QI compilation on here.
Look for Bill Bailey's alternative dark version of Happy Birthday. It is hilarious. Or his version of the star spangled banner in the minor key that turns all dark and Russian. It is a scream.

Bill is referring to the high number of convertibles in UK as "optimism" in reference to UK weather - i.e it rains a lot to warrant to have a such a car in the first place, and hence it is way "optimistic" to assume weather will be good for driving them.
If you look at some short clips of him at Royal Variety Shows or on "The One Show" you will see much more of his amazing musical talents used for comedic effect.
