Bill is one of our best but most under-rated musicians/comedians. Hugely talented. He mentioned Pam Ayers...she's a poet and story-teller...and she used to work for MI5
Ha, I didn't know that. Was she official poet to the secret services? 😄
You are totally right. Him and Al Murray are two of our best performers. ps I got my wardrobe from MI5
I seen him live a couple of times, absolutely brilliant. Like you say underated, he's an absolute genius when it comes to music.
I had the same music teacher as Bill bailey... Ps I got my sofa from mfi
The music to the Star Spangled Banner is actually a British drinking song. The Anacreontic song.
BS
@@annephillips8494No. What he said is absolutely true. Do a fact check.
Comedy genius, silly and intellectual in perfect amounts.
He's also a lovely guy - I went to see a live show and being in the front row I got picked on to have my voice sampled and played in one of his funny songs. At the end when everyone was giving him a standing ovation he hopped off the stage in the middle of it, shook my hand and said thankyou for taking part.
Bill takes comedy to an astronomic level. I love every thing he does (including popping into my home area to smell otter shit)
A genius with a very sharp wit.
Nothing Bill can't do he even won dancing competition on the BBC
For Bill Bailey - worst jobs as a session musician is brilliant!
That reminds me, have a look at Black Books.
Bill Bailey is a national treasure and a multi-talented artist.
He invented the U2 sound before they did.
Check it out.
This reminded me to tell you about the two people that introduced Bill Bailey at the beginning of the clip. They are Armstrong and Miller. These two have done a series of skits as WW2 RAF officers. 'WW11 pilots 1', would be a good place to start! I loved the Bill Bailey video. Thank you Mark.
no thank you. Appreciate you hanging with me
Yep - there's a great compilation video of A & M doing the Fighter Pilots sketches on YT, Mark . . . about 10-15 mins in length, I think, all following each other, so it would be a good one for you to react to . . . But it's the modern day slang speaking that makes it all the more hilarious . . . innit.
@@MarkfromtheStates Armstrong & Miller are very, very funny, often overlooked. One sketch they did was just genius. At a time when TV commercials for litigation claim phone lines were booming, they did a skit which was deliciously convoluted: A commercial for an accident claims phone line dedicated to helping actors who'd injured themselves while filming re-creations of accidents for accident claim lines....😂. Alexander Armstrong has moved onto becoming the long time host of the early evening quiz show 'Pointless'.
Nice to see you getting a chuckle at one of our greatest comedians.
Always!
Bill mentioned Pam Ayers. She's a poet and story-teller, very funny in a quiet way, and she used to work for MI5 breaking codes.
Always been a big fan of Bill Bailey, very underrated musician - and he speaks some Klingon. Pam Ayers should also get a mention - brilliant women.
Bill does a great Klingon impersonation too 😄
Got the privilege of seeing Bill Bailey in my home town of Newcastle New South Wales Australia last month had to wait two years for the show to be rescheduled and it was amazing 🎉 any of his longer videos are awesome. Show I saw was just after he got back from preforming at the Royal commend
Performance he talked about it in his one man show, some of his songs to shouted out tunes are bloody amazing
Very cool!
@@MarkfromtheStates cheers mate
Bill Bailey appearing on the Michael McIntyre show is what you need, Mark. French Siren & Downton Abbey (Jamaican Reggae Dub Style) . . .
Ok I'm game. Thanks Keith
Cheers Mark. I'd never seen that. Very enjoyable.
This guy is sooooo good
Bill is a national entertainment treasure......
As a fellow migrant from the westcountry, that is SO true about the accent!
He is incredibly talented, and VERY funny. You HAVE to see his Death Metal rendition of 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' as well!
Nice
genius gentleman jester
It's the Royal Command Variety Performance which is why King Charles and the Queen Consort, Camilla, are there 👑. Bill Bailey is a superb all round performer and a bird watcher too. Please try and find him on *QI* with Stephen Fry, Carrie Fisher (sadly she passed away not long after the show aired), Jimmy Carr and Alan Davies. It's a Christmas show and you should see Bill's reaction to the present he gets from Stephen. It's an absolute joy.
I have a habit of getting misty-eyed whenever I hear “Jerusalem” being sung by a magnificent choir like this. It happened on cue this time and as it ended the camera passed to the Queen Consort and caught her expression. She was feeling the same as me. I bet we weren’t the only ones!
@@r.fairlie7186 me too
Iv had the honour of seeing him perform live at Demontfort Hall Leicester , a few years back and he is Brilliant. He played rock music on a banjo ,made from a bible, it's was spectacular.
Awesome
He is magnificent. Oh yes you will love him the more you see an incredible musician.
He is very good
The King's in the cheap seats!
Great video really enjoyed it!
Great stuff thanks 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
He's a national not just an amazing comedian he's a musical genius and yes you should definitely check out more
He is fun in Saving Grace (as a stoner !), its a film about growing pot and selling it in Cornwall (blockbuster )
You just popped up thanks to the algorithm! Lovely to see someone enjoying Mr Bailey! Do a YTube search for Bill Bailey and Robin Williams - Royal Birthday Blues...you won't be disappointed, utterly hilarious- a very special one-off live performance prior to Charles becoming king! And also for musical wizardry like none other...Beardyman at Royal Albert Hall will knock your socks off as we say in Blighty! Wishing you a wonderful start to 2023!
Cool, thanks!
Very enjoyable! Bill is brilliant! Amazingly talented and clever and one of the most wonderful things about him is his love for animal and birds especially. In an article in today's The Guardian Australia he nails it when he says "stand up comedy is about giving people a break from all the world's problems for a couple of hours" and he's always done that brilliantly. And vale to his friend- the also brilliantly funny Sean Lock RIP.
Yes he was good
happy birthday in minor key and twinkle twinkle little star in heavy metal are the best in bill bailey live
Brilliant guy to watch.........
You really must check out Bill's version of the Hokey Cokey, or as you would know it, the Hokey Pokey!!
It's done in the style of the German Electro-Pop band, Kraftwerk, & yes, it IS as weird as it sound, but sooooo funny!! 🤣
That dude is funny
You definitely need to watch more Bill Baily. He's an amazing performer and musician and comedian with no equal.
Ya he's good
Proper job.
He taught himself to play the mandolin during the 2020 lockdown
Watch Bill Bailey at the Royal Variety 2012. Also Duelling Sitars.
black books !!!
Bill Bailey, national treasure of the UK.
Hi Mark, if you fancy a couple of quick hits of classic Bill Bailey search CZcams for "Bill Bailey - Sirens" and "Bill Bailey - Doorbells". Each is only a couple of minutes long but both are guarenteed to brighten your day.
Cool, thanks!
Penn and teller and dynamo’s there because king Charles is a member of the magic circle.
Bill Bailey is a true genius!
Saw bill live at Towersey. He was awesome , Who is the opera singer? She is amazing.( Think I am in love ) lol
you have a voice like late night radio dj's , very relaxing
Lol thanks
I've seen him here in Bristol on the Part Troll tour, very funny. I got into Bill early on with his 'Cosmic Jam' video and the Starsky & Hutch incidental music routine is hilarious along with the prog rock opera parody Insect Nation. Also love his musical comedy with things like the Doctor Who theme done as Belgian jazz.
Cool!
@@MarkfromtheStates One of Bill's most enduring jokes is when he once called the Argos catalogue as 'the laminated book of dreams'. Argos is a shop where you go in, select items from a laminated catalogue & write the code on a ticket, then the assistants go and get the item from the warehouse for you. The joke became so famous, for one of their last catalogues (they have stopped publishing them as its all digital now) the Argos TV advertising campaign actually called it 'the book of dreams' after Bill's gag.
Some really fun outtakes of him on 'QI' as the panel have fun with the host, Sandi Toksvig (lady on his right on stage here). She is a very bright and funny lady in her own right. x😁💕
Thank you Sassy
Mark Masterson u r most welcome. Nice and snowy/icy over here in my relatively new home in Scottish Highlands. Love it! Pa was Scottish so finally my 'McColm' surname fits in!
Nice to hear your dulcet tones once again. Love your
Content & hope my info not too boring! As u can see, I can go on a bit! 😉😊💕
He does one show probably from a few years ago when literally he is just surrounded by about 20 or 30 different musical instruments and he plays every one of them .
Literally there is everything , strings woodwind , brass , percussion, electronic , I hate him!!!!😂😂😂
lol
HES BRILL AS IS THE 2 GUYS WHO INTRODUCED HIM ARMSTRONG AND MILLER, QUITE A FEW AMERICAN REACTORS ARE SHOWING SOME OF THEIR SKITS WHICH ARE VERY FUNNY
Bill Bailey comedy to look out for -
Larks in Transit
Bewilderness
Limboland
Part Troll
Dandelion Mind
Tinselworm
as a few of his full stand up sets to look at.
Watch Bill Bailey do Rammstein 😀
Thank you for brilliant videos. Love your reactions.
I will check it out
He's a Fantastic musician, a comic extraordinare, FUNNY AS FUCK. WOULD GIVE ST PAUL A GOOD ARGUMENT, 👍.
To quote Merle Haggard; “If the good Lord put too much talent in one human being's body, that would be Glen Campbell.” Substitute Glen's name with Bill's, and the quote still holds true.
Lol
Bill is so brilliant
The lady in thevpink coat, standing right next to Sir Bill, clapping enthusiastically, is Sandi Toksvig - another “genius brain” who is very clever and very funny is sadly and is often a presenter on the QI TV programme (have you heard of/watched this? - you find out QI (Quite Interesting 😉) things you didn’t you, you didn’t know! sadly Sandi is very poorly atm with pneumonia 😟😢- she was doing her live shows in Australia when she taken ill.
Praying hard that she recovers from it and gets better soon 🙏🏻🙂
Ugh that's no good. Prayers for Sandi
You should see him do the horns!!
just watched him do the horns to Metallica...sweet
@@MarkfromtheStates incredible talent
I don't know if you get time to read through all the comments but Bill's 'Remarkable guide to the orchestra' is well worth checking out, try a search for the Cow Bells for a taster.
I try to read them all and respond. I will look for it and thank you
A couple years ago you reacted to Metronomy's "The Look" from 2011. They actually made a good go of it, check out Metronomy Right on Time (Glastonbury 2022)
Don't think that was me but I'll take a look if you want
@@MarkfromtheStates yeah it looks like old school music guy, who looks like you. If its not you sorry for the mistake.
Lol no worries
If you are looking for more comedians I would highly recommend you check out Victoria Wood. She did some great stuff in her time.
For an early Bill Bailey joke, take a look at his “Pubbe Gagge” done in the Middle English style of Geoffrey Chaucer…. czcams.com/video/mNEWatD0viw/video.html or his impression of a catastrophic technical failure at a U2 gig… czcams.com/video/H8dZwXnMrRU/video.html
Lol that was funny
You need to watch porridge. Ronnie Barker and Kate Beckinsdale's dad.
Mark by watching this video I've realised that you are bill bailys stunt double.....
lol
@@MarkfromtheStates sorry my friend
But you both look alike and are both extremely charismatic
(I'm back peddling here haha )
Lol no need to back peddle... I'm a fan of Bill. Besides I've been called way worse
@@MarkfromtheStates haha
You past the test
Sense of humour confirmed
Wahoo
Love Bill Bailey and love musician. The bit with the bells reminded me of something. It's only short, but I think you'll like it!
czcams.com/video/GSgYTV-Tks0/video.html
Love it.
Bill Bailey is one of those irritating people who is bloody great at anything he does!!…. he’s brilliant, and if you are looking for another clip, you could do a lot worse than this one czcams.com/video/WGsAMEu-jcU/video.html
Yes! That is a great clip to show Bill's musical inventiveness. 👍👍
that was awesome
BANNED from watching UNLESS I PAY YOU TUBE so Rubbish, extortion
Nice watch. However, it is kind of sad to see Bill pandering to those two freeloaders.
