If you are referring to the black parts on the bottom, I believe that’s all one piece and it’s a built-into the plastic so you may have to get a new filter and then use a vice grip or something similar. Remember to go counterclockwise but being upside down it will seem opposite of right side up so you may have been turning the wrong way. Hope that makes sense and helps
Thank you for posting this as their manual truly sucks !!! I was getting ready to do this service on my Pioneer S and could not find any clear indication of how to get to the filters or where they were....
do you need to purge the system like hydrogear transaxles or is it designed in a way that air does not get trapped as you fill it with the new oil. also is there an expansion tank or over flow tank as some people call it. I maintenance my own equipment mainly so I don't have down time leaving it at the dealer, but these parkers are new to me so I am hesitant on purchasing the laser z. thanks
One important thing left out is losing each vent plug (one on each wheel transaxle drive located inside up top) when adding fluid. Add fluid until it starts seeping out of these plugs then tighten/seal them. This allows the fluid to drain into the transaxle on each side. If you don’t do this you will be wondering why your fluid isn’t filling your transaxle. When full you should have used 4 qts.
4 quarts per side? Are you sure you’re thinking of the same model? This system has 2 separate hydros with their own tank. That may be true for a different model with one hydraulic fluid tank for both sides.
@@lawnmaint mine only has one reservoir to pour fluid in but it has to sink in both transaxle’s which each has a vent plug. It took 4 quarts total to fill each side. Looking from the front, my left side filled up first. After sealing its vent plug it filled the right side. I then sealed it and then it maintained the cool level full line on the reservoir tank. I guess I have a different model.
I just did mine and it was super easy. How about the reminder reset ? I can’t figure it out and can’t find info any where The mower is running with red light on for now.
I have the same unit and need to do my 1st hydraulic fluid change. My owners manual says to remove the pump drive belt before draining the system. Is this unnecessary?
I believe that would be an added safety precaution in the event the mower would accidentally start with no Hydraulic oil in the pumps. If you are sure of yourself, it would be your call to make, but it didn't get in the way for me.
This is what I was needing to know to do filter change on my unit, thanks man!
Always good to hear! Thanks
@@lawnmaint I've got the same mower but I broke the nut off the hydro filter. Any ideas on how to get it off?

Did it thanks to you. Video was spot on! How about a video, on how to replace the hydro belt??
Great Idea..I know I wear gloves and try to watch for pinch points.. the tension spring is the main thing.

what did you torque wheels to ? Is there a crusher washer on drain plug?

Thank you, that’s good to know. I think I do have one of those models with one reservoir in the center.

Sure, Here you go. Glad it helped. czcams.com/video/LDgPdqbpLN8/video.html
Might be a stupid question.. But I have the same mower and can't figure out how to raise the seat like that??
+ElliottLawnService the frame that the seat is on, has a spring loaded bar about 4 inches wide... just lift up behind the seat on the bottom of it
Thank you for making this video, I found it very helpful. Do you have to purge the system after you change the fluid?
To my knowledge it self purges...great question.
Is that bar under the front of the seat or the back? Close to the engine?
+ElliottLawnService back bottom of seat
You gonna upload more videos

@@leeandruby I broke the nut off the hydro filter. Any clue on how I can still remove the filter lol? Do I need to remove the whole pump?
@@daveortwine2107 Great question. May have to take it to a shop. Would have to drill in holes to be able to attach something to turn it off, and out.
what is the recomended oil for the hydro system ? can we use the Mobil 1 20w50 ? tk you
On the older series, yes that was recommended but on this model, they require using the Exmark Brand Hydro Oil from a Dealer.
Oh I bet.
Are they're filters on each hydro??
+ElliottLawnService yes
how do you take off the seat ? did u just unbolt it off?
I thought you had to bleed the system after you drained the fluid.
Bleed, Drain, all sounds the same to me! Still rolling along! The new system is Self purging...
Every when should you change the hydro oil?
Owners Manual said every 500 Hours I believe
There’s a 75 hour change for break in on my radious s
Where are they exactly?
+ElliottLawnService its the round black things under each hydro that you turn counter clockwise a half turn.. its in video
This video showed absolutely nothing.
