    Kevin, thanks so much for your video. Like you I bought a used exmark and need to learn how to change the oil myself. I checked out several other video and yours was the most informative. Thanks again!

    Word of caution when checking or servicing your hydro fluid be very careful screwing in dipsticks they cross thread very easy. They are plastic to aluminum.
    My first hydro service was performed at a local dealership perk when purchasing a new unit. They cross threaded mine up without me knowing until I checked fluid levels later on. They will still be tight but will not seat all the way down.
    Replacements are fairly costly around $60 for both sides.

    I have an exmark similar to yours and to get to the hydraulics behind the seat is a lever that allows you to flip the seat forward out of the way for easy access to the hydraulics dip sticks !, also curious as to whether you check fluid level with dip sticks threaded in or not ?, The line you mentioned at the top of the dip stick with the letter H is probably the level line when hydraulic fluid is hot due to expansion I assume !....

    • @KReesethebeast
      @KReesethebeast  Před 5 lety +1

      I will have to check to see if I have that same lever! From my understanding the fluid is checked when screwed in all the way. That is how I check all my dipsticks. Thanks for watchin'!

  • @kevinmarchini5272
    @kevinmarchini5272 Před rokem +3

    I have similar mower its an X series though they typically take between 54 and 56 ounces in trans pumps the H stands for HOT because of expansion

    So there’s just the two hydro filters. One engine oil filter. And the main air filters. Those are the only 4 filters on the machine correct? Loved the video!

    • @KReesethebeast
      @KReesethebeast  Před 5 lety +1

      No, there is no way to put oil in them prior to installing.

    It is not necessary to run forward and backward for 30 seconds 4 o 5 times with the mower jacked up after changing the hydraulic fluid to avoid damaging a valve o something????I saw that in another video and I just want to make sure🙏🙏

      @KReesethebeast  Před 4 měsíci +1

    I just bought a new one. Mechanic told me you had to keep adding oil and hydraulic fluid. He said it burns about an ounce of oil for every hour of use. Is that nornal?

      No need to purge hydro system that I am aware of. Mine has been working just fine since this video, as a matter of fact just cut grass today, and she runs and cuts like a dream still. Just follow the steps in this video. If you have any questions just let me know. Thank you for watching.

      Big yellow cap with an oil can on it, pull it out there is the dipstick, keep it between the lines. If you can check the oil in your car, you can check this oil.
