Same motor but i have a quest. I'm also a Michigan boy. Thanks for the great vid. Im changing the oil today. T😎
Nice video I was about to drop my mower off for its first 10 hour service now Im gonna just grab the oil and filter and do it myself.
Great video man. Subscribed
Thanks for this video. Almost seemed too simple. Wanted to make sure. :-)
Glad it helped!
I'm actually thinking about getting that exact mower as my secondary mower for the smaller properties I do...not quite ready yet this year but eventually I'll run 2 mowers lol
It has been a great mower so far!
Thanks sir
Thank you ✌️
Great video sir. I’ve got the exact some mower but I’m just now at 400 hours. Is your mower still running? How many hours does it have?
after market oil and filters are probably all right after the warranty period has passed, certainly would void during coverage.well done OLM LLC
Got a part number on that fram filter?
PH4967
Nice
Thanks
I know on the lazer z the Kawasaki engine on the dip stick its says not to turn it onto the threads just to basically let it drop down then check the oil . But may be different on your exmark but just wanted to tell you it will be written on dip stick. Good vid
Thanks
It’s is different on the exmark motor, dipstick needs to be tightened
You need to use oil designed for air cooled engines like air cooled motorcycles do.
So do you recommend getting this mower with the exmark engine because there is a nice price difference between the kawi!
I have equipment with the Kawasaki engine tried-and-true! I was skeptical on the Exmark 708 CC it does fine as long as you keep up the maintenance, I look at the oil if it starts getting real dark based on ambient temperatures and how hard i run it, time to change it with the air filter. It might be overkill for some but the way I look at it, this machine is making me 💰 I better take care of it.✌️
My oil drain tube is stuck onto the nipple, any hacks to get it off of the nipple without breaking things?
If anyone is wondering, I was able to get it off while lightly prying with a screw driver and twisting the tube, while the engine was warm.
What is the number of that oil filter? I have a new Radius E witht he Exmark engine and cannot find what oil filter it takes.

@@oakwoodlawnmaintenancellc.1093 Thank you!
Help: Is the top of the drain tube, where it plugs up onto the nib, Is it just a cap at top of the tube, or does oil need to flow through it?
The engine shroud is the cap for the tube. Oil does not flow until you lower the tube down to drain the oil
@@oakwoodlawnmaintenancellc.1093 - Thank you. That's good so since the nib, that the draIn tube fits onto broke off, I can just put a removable plug in the top of the drain tube.
@Gene Metz That is correct; from what I understand, that is a common problem. Some type of plug wi[th a little hose clamp should work fine.
@@genemetz1945 Same thing just happened to me.
@@TheYamahog12 - I just put a removable cap on the end and let it sit there. The line is only for draining out the oil. I still love that machine.
Cant see you’re blocking the shot of the drain tube
As you many know, it can happen.
Tell size of filter

Why my oil smell like gas?
what is the Fram # you used.

lol another video which shows how easy things are. tried to change oil for my first 5 hour change on the 708 and the tube would not come off, unlike this video which shows it just popping off in 2 seconds. manual says twist and pull down. I could not, then used a vice grip, but not hard as I could, afraid I'll break the plastic piece which holds it on top of engine. never had a harder time changing oil in any of my previous zero turns or power equipment. heard good things about exmark, cuts good, but what a piece of junk. I guess I'll have to break a plastic piece off the top of engine and buy a plug for end of tube. wonder if exmark dealers sell them at 900% mark up?
That just happened to me. All went fine with the break-in oil change. This time I twisted and pulled and it broke right off. Now I have to find something to plug it.
The dealer will provide a plug, it is a known problem. Can’t get mine off at the moment.
Fram is the worst filter you can use by far. Also use the oil recommended by your exmark dealer. Which would be Kawasaki oil if they know what they’re doing. That engine needs that oil
This will be a good test to see how far she will run!!
I’ve used Fram on my trucks for years and my engines lasted 300,000 miles plus.
@@ctb2814 well I mean it’s a known fact Fram is junk so you’re very lucky
@@nalley6815 known fact by who’s claim? A competitor perhaps? I know for a fact it served my vehicles well.
