Hideo Kojima is the creator of Metal Gear series, who later left Konami due to disputes to form his own company, Kojima Productions, who created the Playstation exclusive Death Stranding, and the in development Xbox exclusive codenamed Overdose. He's one of gaming's most iconic individuals and likes to cameo in his games. Keep in mind, metal gears are big nuclear powered robots with guns.
Hi Ani, great videos as always, I'm happy you learnt how to play the games. As for the number of seasons and the end of the series, this season ends on episode 82. Then it's the last season with episodes 83 and 84.

Imo yugioh was still good up to synchro summonings (hell, I’d even take xyz summonings) because the game was still pretty well balanced and paced.

Yugioh back in the day was elite
Yeeeaahh...I think I speak for most of us Duelists when I say that most of us don't care for how modern Yugioh's gotten pretty crazy with how long turn 1 can be and that we've moved from "a back-and-forth battle between 2 skilled duelists battling with both their wits and their cards" to "who can play the most 'you can't play the game' cards as fast as possible", at least on the competitive side. Many of us prefer the interactive, back-and-forth dueling we saw from a YuGiOh anime and you most likely experienced on Master Duel before you started dueling other people. You can Duel competitively if you want, but just know it's a very different environment out there, much more sweaty lol.
Anywho, welcome to the Dueling world! Any favorite Deck(s) yet? There's literally dozens of decks with dozens of different playstyles and artstyles, one of them's bound to click with you if one hasn't already.
Glad to see you eventually learned how to play. Competetive Yu-Gi-Oh! can be a drag. But casual play is always fun.
Would absolutely watch you play through Legacy of the Duelist. It goes the story of all the duels, and you play as the winner using the deck they used at the time. Really cool

So technically Kaiba didn't lie about keeping any of his father's military tech. He said they didn't keep a "Single" flying war machine of death, they kept multiple ones. Notice he places emphasis on the Single
Hey melon, a lot of us don't like to play master duel for that reason. A couple of nicer options:
1. If you have switch or Xbox or Playstation, you can get yugioh legacy of the duelist or yugioh legacy of the duelist-Link evolution. The cards are slower, not cracked, and moves take like a minute or two maybe. You also play through the story duels which might be more interesting now that you have watched most of the abridged series
2. Duel links on the phone app store (the one yugi and kaiba talked about on the elevator) is not nearly as bad. It used to be slow yugioh and it has sped up since it's release many years ago
3. Yugioh speed duels or starter/structure decks are really fun and you can play lots of games in the amount of time it takes one person on master duel to take a turn.
4. Any older yugioh game tends to have much more fun game play for those of us who don't want to watch 30 minute turns.
Maybe that can give you an avenue to actually enjoy yugioh
100% seconded on playing Legacy of the Duelist over Master Duel as a new player. Much more gradual teaching of game mechanics and you don’t need to get worried about getting Maxx C in your face every time you try and play

underrated Kaiba episode I forgot all about this
I have a Yugioh game on my PS4 and it really enlightened me just how much the game has changed since the old days. It was actually kind of amazing. I built my deck using sets of 3 old cards like, Pot of Greed, Black Hole, Harper Feather Duster, Monster Reborn, Cyber Jar, Change of Heart, Sword of Revealing Light and a little Goblin Attack Force for good measure.
What would oftentimes happen would be I'd get either a great hand or a decent hand but generally whatever the case what would happen would be my (CPU) opponent would spend like their entire turn (sometimes more than 1) building up this insane fusion super monster to fight me and all I'd do was either a combination of funny scenarios with my favorite one being the actual least OP variant of victory would be me simply using Change of Heart to smack them in the life points which would usually end the game right there haha.
Then I go on to find out all these cards I'm using are banned hahahaha. I think maybe you're allowed 1 Monster Reborn in your deck and that's it but I think even that card might be completely banned hahaha. Obviously for good reason since these old cards basically invalidated the entire meta Konami wanted to build hahaha.
Be careful, episode 79 seems to be a favorite target of copyright trolls to attack reactors. It's basically been scrubbed from CZcams.

What you saw in Master Duel is the tip of competitive play.
There are many who will play competitive but it doesn't mean that you as the player will also have to. If you want to enter and do well in official tournaments, then you could go for it but a lot more would play casual, allowing for deck experimentation.
Alternatively, there's also older formats that get played amongst the fanbase, these restrict the card pool to sets from around the time of and before that particular format, while also allowing players to follow whatever banlist was around at the time.
Then, there's my personal favorite, Rush Duel. This is a completely separate game that uses some basic mechanics from the main card game, but changes up the rules to be more fast-paced and in my opinion, more enjoyable.
Honestly, I 100% agree with what you said about the modern format. I personally don't use any post GX cards, though I don't mind playing against them. But the 30 minute turns? The virtually untouchable decks? No thank you. The game is so broken now.

I recommend you play duellinks. It's better for new players and you can play as the anime characters. I personally enjoy modern yugioh but I understand how overwhelming it must be for a new player
True, but it goes beyond just the fact that it’s overwhelming, the pacing just makes it kinda boring. One of the things I didn’t realize I enjoyed about early yugioh was the adrenaline-fulled anticipation of my opponents turn, my draw phase, and the activation of spell and traps.
But all that is gone in modern day yugioh, and more.
@@forastero54321 it isn't really gone though. Maybe it's because you grew up but for me creating your own combo and end board is far more enjoyable than whoever has the most attack wins. I'm not saying it's perfect or balanced or anything but it has never been balanced.
@@teddybear979 that’s understandable. What drew me to the game in the beginning was the luck of the draws and creating a good combo with what you had. I think yugioh was at it’s peak with synchro summoning; after that it started going to hell with over complicated monsters and effects.
This is why the original series of cards are the best b4 all the op and convoluted card descriptions.
yugioh is all fun and games till your opponent starts taking 30 minutes to mill their deck to summon exodia.

It can be hard to master but you can do it I you'd to play Yu-Gi-Oh card game to I would wine some time and I lost some time but I had fun and that the most important part
As for the episode they were funny any lines from Kaiba masks me laugh my favorite was the Dragon airplane joke was just great
You should definitely consider trying the original anime some time

That over dramatic reaction from Kaiba was always ridiculous in context from the original airing. That scene in abridged could be swapped for the original, and it wouldn't even make a difference 😅
Master duel can be fun if you go against people who play for fun but there are just so many people who use broken meta decks that are copy and paste by other youtubers which sucks the fun out of the game. As you stated yourself having to sit there for an hour on first go for people to summon 5 monsters with over 3000 attack points in the first round just so you can lose straight afterwards really kills the game for me

I played as a kid but then I fell out, but I got back in for a bit not long after aliens and lswarms were around and it was super fun, still have like six decks including my alien and lswarms which are my favs. But I def fell back out right before the pendulum stuff. I know for sure that I would already have to basically relearn the entire game xp I pay just enough attention to know that I know nothing about the game anymore and my six decks are all actual trash now, even if you let me put the Envoy of the Beginning in with the aliens. Lsawms was literally a swarm deck, it's in the name, but that deck would look now the way first gen yugioh would looks against it

They haven’t actually finished the Yugioh series. They completed season 4, but they’re still working on season 5 which kind of started. The creator of this abridge series is really slow unfortunately.
Amazing that it's still going after all of these years though.

I only know how to play Yu Gi Oh card game using season 1 and 2 rules 🤣which is basically bsing your way to winning by bullying your opponent to believing that what you said about your cards are real and what was shown on the anime are the actual rules. Early 2000s Yu Gi Oh was like the wild wild west era for the card game.
We're not all like that not all Yu-Gi-Oh players take forever with their moves. The only ones who do are those who take the game too seriously also I suggest that you watch the actual show. If you do you'll learn more about how to play the card game for the most part anyways. If you review the actual English dub of the show here the fanbase will probably praise you. I could be wrong though anyways just wanna finish off by saying these videos are great

My advice for a new YuGiOh player would be to download something like EDOPro and do a challenge with someone where you open up like 20 or so random card packs using a card pack generator, you open up the packs in the order that they came out, you only do one or two packs per duel, and then you're limited to using the cards that you got from the card packs. Maybe even take one of the early starter tins to start with too to make sure that you've at least got something good, because those will usually have at least one boss monster. Like Kaiba's will have the Blue Eyes White Dragon, obviously. That's more or less how we all played YuGiOh growing up. And you won't have to deal with shit like synchro summoning, xyzs, pendulums, links, none of that shit, and the cards won't be power-crept to hell.

Yeah, I suggest you don't do any Online Yugioh and just stick with Singleplayer and try learning just from the Duel Monsters and GX Era before going into the more advanced stuff.
High level yugioh card gaming can be intense depending on whose playing lol.

Yeah, master duel, like with almost EVERY tcg, the meta game is just too much. I just like playing with my red-eyes, blue-eyes, dark magician, & odd-eyes magician decks…😞 I’d actually recommend duel links because there’s more AI decks you can train with
If you would like to play more Yu-Gi-Oh, older formats, such as reaper and Edison are becoming much more popular since a lot of players hate the current format. Those older formats are much more manageable, especially for newer players. Plus, they’re cheap.
