    CHAPTERS:
    00:16 Introduction.
    00:43 Action starts already with Marsha almost running a red light!
    01:25 Hesitates for nonfunctioning traffic lights.
    01: 58 Slight caution with pedestrian in center isle.
    02:18 Winding narrow roads.
    02:50 Why do you think Marsha want to continue through the red light?
    03:42 Keeps distance from car encroaching on lane. Impressive.
    05:52 Interprets transit light as traffic light?
    06:16 Gets confused by lane markings.
    07:16 Pedestrian in middle of road. Reacts to him and driver coming into our lane.
    08:24 Narrow roads and bumper to bumper traffic.
    08:47 Fun fact.
    09:06 Follow distance in heavy traffic and consideration for other drivers.
    10:23 Congestion and intersections.
    10:41 Queens Quay turning approaching. Marsha no longer gets stuck in left turn lane before making Queens Quay turn!
    14:29 Updated map data really improves navigation along with other software improvements.
    14:48 Navigating narrow lanes with adjacent street car dedicated tracks. Amazing.
    15:42 Visualization throttled by tons of pedestrians.
    16:26 Unnecessary lane indications. Confusing to cars behind.
    17:38 Unable to squeeze into left turn lane with adequate room to do so. Thoughts?
    19:48 Should be faster to anticipate parked cars in blocked lanes. Needs to position better and smoother. It was confusing. What are you thoughts?
    21:08 Marsha prioritizes the safety of pedestrians but makes for an awkward ride at times.
    22:18 Comparing V11 to V10 down town.
    22:51 Not too sure why Marsha was slowing down. Thoughts?
    24:24 Marsha's reaction to close pedestrians is kind of awkward.
    25:02 Awkwardness with pedestrians example again.
    25:27 Tricky turn into blind corner done quite well followed by strange signaling!
    25:59 Gets into position in advance, accounting for parked car.
    26:42 Right turn towards Dundas Square with agile maneuvers around parked cars and street car.
    28:29 Awkwardness with pedestrians and cars in adjacent lane.
    30:49 Final thoughts followed by a spicy left turn.
    33:44 Kid tells Marsha to slow down.

    Overall folks, what a drive! We hope you enjoyed it! We have witnessed a stark difference between V10 and V11 with better gap selection, lane recognition and anticipation, as well as prioritizing pedestrian safety, the safety of other vulnerable units and how the system reacts to them. However there are some challenges V11 brings with it that are outlined in our video (i.e. Prioritizing pedestrian safety, perhaps too much, which may lead to awkward lane positioning on narrow roads thus confusing other drivers). What are your thoughts and points on the good and not so good parts of V11.4.4.? We'd love to know!

      At the red light when you pulled on the stalk, it was in cruise control mode already so the first pull activated FSD and pulling on the stalk again is the same as pressing the accelerator peddle. I often pull the stalk 1 time instead of pressing accelerator. It is important to know the mode you are in.

      @@wylieecoyotehey, thanks for the comment. If you're referring to 00:43, FSD was actively engaged (blue wheel) and had enough time to react.

    👍👍 I'm impressed. D/t TO is irregular and chaotic even in the absence of construction and 4.4 handled it better than some people!

    Another impressive thing here is the wet pavement! It clearly rained shortly before this video, and it is more difficult to read street markings on wet pavement; yet the Tesla seems to drive itself quite handily over all the wet roads. Wet pavement tends to reflect glare from sunlight, and also change the perceived pavement color, which can be visually confusing when trying to read road markings.

    Can you imagine trying to drive with the front windscreen blacked out? Could you use only the display screen? Now THAT would be fun to see!

      That would be illegal 😂

    5:49 I think the braking was in anticipation for the car in front slowing down.
    But 17 is also the speed for speed bumps. Tracks are sometimes detected as speed bumps currently, so this may be the reason for the slowdown as well.

    • @spicytech
      @spicytech  Před 10 měsíci

      Great observations. Haven't tested out the speed bump vs tracks slow downs. The system did detect a red traffic light and I was thinking it was that that caused the slowdown or a nearby pedestrian. Could just be reaction time to the car in front, yes .

    7:24 the car picks the left lane because of the upcoming left turn. :)

      @spicytech  Před 10 měsíci

      For sure! I was just making an observation that Marsha was hugging the left side of the lane which was kind of uncomfortable.

    That was a lot of interventions that you had to make on this drive, especially after paying $15,000 for fsd. Every time that you give 'juice', should be counted as an intervention.

    • @spicytech
      @spicytech  Před 10 měsíci +1

      For sure. Applying joules is definitely an intervention. You should have seen how V10 did this run! It's a night and day difference... literally 😂

    10:29 leaving enough room in the intersection. Just look at the cars behind you! They are backed right up for so than you ever were.

    • @spicytech
      @spicytech  Před 10 měsíci

      Still shouldn't block an intersection! Other cars have to make a left turn.

    Maybe the car doesn’t want to be in the right lane on Bay St because it’s a HOV lane (minimum 3 people)

    • @spicytech
      @spicytech  Před 10 měsíci

      Shouldn't HOV be minimum 2 people? Right lanes tend to be blocked by parked cars so might make more sense to stay left.

    • @5354Will
      @5354Will Před 10 měsíci

      @@spicytech I actually remembered incorrectly for Bay St. On the highway, HOV is 2 people. In the city, it is actually more restrictive. On Bay St, it’s only taxis, buses, and motorcycles Mon-Fri 7am-7pm. On Eglinton, I remember seeing the 3 person carpool sign and was mistaking it for Bay. For these streets, these lanes are no parking and no stopping zones. No one ever really notices the HOV signs because they are above the street and most people end up ignoring it during rush hour. Take a closer look the next time you drive there (or Google street view it) but I think the restrictive lane status may be why it was trying to avoid the right lane while on Bay St
