- In this video, Capt. Bill Saiff III is fishing with Capt. Pat Loveland for early Spring Browns and Lakers! A mild winter has left the Eastern Basin of Lake Ontario "Ice Free" as of March 1st. This is an unusual occurrence so the boys are taking full advantage of the opportunity! This video has lots of fishing tips and it takes a close look at the NEW line-up of Bill Saiff Outdoors tackle. Northeast Troller is building Flashers & Spoons to BSO specs and the results have been outstanding! Check it out! Visit us at www.BillSaiffOutdoors.com and PLEASE SUBSCRIBE to this channel.

It was a great time ! Pick up a few tricks of the trade
March 2nd was our first trip of the season out of I bay never have fished the South shore this early. Much welcomed bonus to catch these ealry season Browns. All I troll with is the 150 merc with troll control 8 seasons no issues👍 keep up the good work BSO team! (UV caddy shack is our favorite spoon!)
What does a number 4 or nunber 7 water gremlin split shot weigh? You always referance them by nunber but i cant even find those nunbers anywhere and ive always kept track of my weights by their actual weight. Also are they tin or lead? Im not sure but i would assume a #7 tin weighs less than a #7 lead. Appreciate any info you can give me.
Great video Bill! Which specific model Okuma Dead Eye rod do you run on your boat? Also, in previous videos you've mentioned the 8'6" Blue Diamond rod for riggers. Is that the medium or medium/heavy? Thanks!
Thank you for sharing and teaching us along the way. Are you using bags to slow the troll speed of that 150? My boat goes 3 mph using my 150.
Yes we were using bags.
Thank you! I got one brown so far this year using your techniques in the Niagara area of Ontario. Weather permitting I’ll get out soon. Got it on a sodus point buckeye stinger rigged just you show us on planer boards
Perfect! I am glad things are working!
Nice catch guys.I have a question for you,how do you like trolling with that 115 Yamaha.Thats the motor I have,is it safe to troll with just that,I really don’t want to buy another kicker.
That motor is a 150 Yamaha. No issues trolling with the 4 stroke!
@@BillSaiffOutdoors excellent,I did mean 150,lol
