- In episode 211, We had a routine chore day scheduled in Baja with some van upgrades, finally replacing our solar panel from Custom Marine Products. Everything was going well until it was time to park for the night when we decided to try to go to a 4-wheel drive spot and found ourselves stuck deep in the sand right next to the water with an incoming tide. We quickly found ourselves in the worst-case scenario and had to figure out how to save our van.

The first video I just watched was your van life with a baby. My husband and I travel around the country with our six kids. We donât have a camper van, but we do have a mini van and two tents. Yes, traveling with kids is all consuming, but so is just having kids. Iâm sure never getting a break from Wyatt is rough too. However, weâve never regretted the effort weâve put into travel. Our youngest is now 2 and our oldest is 13. We are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel of super young kids and I can tell you we are glad we didnât just sit on the couch waiting for them to get bigger!

Theyâre the best adding that 4th panel back is HUGE!! Now we can run Starlink without worry and once we update our DC to DC charger weâll be ok with the air conditioner too!

đź- so sorry- but I got stuck 2 of my last 4 nights in Baja after 2+ months of "no problemo" ... _ _ it happens! Love 9 Palms - but stayed between Shipwreck & Lateral
Wow, that gave me a bad flashback. In the spring of 2021 the Gulf of Mexico swallowed our van on a Texas beach. đą We were left feeling like shipwrecked mariners, 1400 miles from home with basically what we could grab out of the van. Was quite an ordeal, glad you guys had a happier ending.

WHOA!! Last week I told my wife I hope that wasnât low tide! Then I heard Taylor say it! THAT WAS SCARY!!! đŹ So close to the water near high tide!? SO glad you got out! I need a beer after that!

Wow that'd scare me. The Home Depot thing... my husband is the same. He says I'll be quick and 40 minutes later he returns. I end up reading or on the phone while I wait. đ
My van got stuck once when we were leaving the beach and luckily deflating the tire did the trick

Wow , now that was close, I was waiting for we all live in a yellow submarine to start playing lol. Glad you got out and was none worse for wear. Oh the trials and tribulations. Hindsight is 2020. You guys were so positive and optimistic earlier. Glad you made it. Phew. My blizzard escapade is coming up this week, thankfully amy is from Buffalo and we made it 2 hours through the storm. You guys held together. This is the stuff that dreams are made ofđ.

Wow your still in Mexico? You must be not worry of all the advisory, sorry but be careful and pick the one you trust, duck tape the tires around it will cover the threads and it will not get stuck.

Not trying to be that person but after just seeing those 3 American men that were just killed in Baja and the extreme travel advisory for kidnapping, do you get nervous? What do you do for protection? I don't want to live my life worried about those things so it's interesting and cool seeing you guys in a place that is considered a do not travel place.
You made it out... that's what counts. Since you are in the heat, how many hours can you get out of your 12v A/C? What is your battery bank?
