    Hi Mike and Dana. Thank you so much for making this wonderful, informative video. My wife and I are planning on wintering in Baja California Sur this year.In this video you answered so many questions and eased our minds about so many of the concerns that we had regarding going there.
    We have been doing our due diligence by watching a lot of videos and reading a lot of articles regarding Baja California Sur. In my estimation, hands down, this is the best video I have seen on the subject.Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.

    Wow, great video!. Ive been going to Baja as a kid since 1967. It is a magical place but you have to take precautions as mentioned in this video. The drug cartels have ruined it for alot of Mexicans, such a shame. I agree, Loreto is a great town with excellent fishing. Ive driven the whole length of Baja four times and we owned a house on the mainland in San Carlos.

    great video. couple questions: (1) our vehicle is a (modern) diesel. is ULSD (ultra low sulfur diesel) just as common/easy to find as gas? (2) how often do you guys do this trip to Baja? if your rig (a truck pulling a 22' trailer) the ideal setup? (3) do you bring any toys along? (like electric fat tire bikes, or SUP boards, or anything?) . (4) if we just drove...are hotels cheap, clean & easy to find along the way? (not requiring reservations?) . Thanks! :)

    Your video has been very helpful. How did you keep your dogs cool? I'll be traveling with my dog and senior cat in a Dodge Caravan with a 10' cargo trailer. What months were you there? Thank you!

      Thanks I’m glad it was helpful! We went during December/January so it never really got that hot. Maybe the hottest was around 28C? And the inside of our trailer usually remains cool even when hot out because of the max air vent fan. We have AC that can run off our batteries but we never had to use it !

    How is your trailer holding up? It’s the exact model I want and I’ve watched you guys for awhile. I know you’ve had a few problems but overall would you buy it again?

    • @LetsJustGoTravel
      @LetsJustGoTravel  Před rokem

      We are still happy with this trailer but when people ask me if I would recommend they buy it, I always ask what type of camping they plan to do (weekends or fulltime etc). I would only recommend this trailer for fulltime if the owner had basic repair skills.

    What starlink do you have? If you have it does that mean you won't need a sim card?

    • @LetsJustGoTravel
      @LetsJustGoTravel  Před 4 měsíci

      We have the Gen 2 Starlink square dish with Roam! We found having both that and a Mexico SIM card combined was the best choice as we weren’t always at our trailer to use Starlink.

    Hello. I have a Older Roadtrek Van that isn’t 4 x 4. I wonder if o would get stuck in the sand going to some of these beach places ? Will people say in the comments in i overlander as to how the roads are ?

    • @LetsJustGoTravel
      @LetsJustGoTravel  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Lots of people we saw also only had 2wd and still made it to the beaches. But we also did see a fair share of people getting stuck so be careful! Yes on some iOverlander listings (especially the really popular sites) there will be driving tips but things can always change due to weather and other conditions so take your time and scout on foot first just to be safe!

    700 per month or total

  • @snotbubbles3276
    @snotbubbles3276 Před rokem +1

    $512 a month, wow

    • @LetsJustGoTravel
      @LetsJustGoTravel  Před rokem +1

      It was 512 for a six month policy. They only gave the option for one month or six months

    • @john59347
      @john59347 Před 11 měsíci

      @@LetsJustGoTravel Many companies offer an annual policy option which has the advantage of being able to be used for multiple trips over the 12-month span of the policy, and it generally isn't a whole lot more money, certainly worth asking about. Also the travel trailer adds to the cost vs just a truck or van.
