    Great video. I bought a cheap one from Walmart (the blue Good Year). It’s ok for lil stuff around the crib. Don’t want the wife going to the gas station using their $2 machine. That’s dangerous nowadays. Cool

    Thank you so much for this video. I went through four videos before finding someone who showed how to attach the hose. I borrowed someone else’s air compressor so I didn’t know to pull back the valve cover. I’m a female so all the details matter! Thanks again!

    Lol. I bought one a few weeks ago. It’s definitely loud AF. I just leave the area when it’s filling up and come back when it’s finished. And definitely use plumbers tape with any and all of the connections. Is it worth it? For $50, definitely, mainly because of how portable it is. I mainly use it for blowing things clean - cheaper and better than those aerosol air cans.

    I think you did a very good job. I like it that you're honest and you are supportive of the compressor Like you say just buy good accessories Thanks for talking about the pressure dial because that's what I was needing to know about. I'm trying to get under my refrigerator so I need a longer stem but I feel like I can put more air out and I'll tape when I get my new tools.. Thanks again

    Bro I just bought one of these things also and you had me dying when you said "it's not that bad" and kept pushing. Excellent review btw.. I'm deciding whether to keep it or based on you saying how loud it was.

    Will it be worth it to buy retractable hose to attach to a small compressor 1.5 or 2 gallon one OR since compressor IS TOO small just use the coil portable hose instead? ? I hardly use air but may use it to air up tires or with a critter jar sprayer and many to blow some stuff up and that's all I can think of.

    • @SteezyManny
      @SteezyManny  Před rokem

      I think you should just get the coil one. That’s mainly what i use it for and car details. Its light enough to easily move it around.

    I’ve been using that kit for a few years now and I’m happy with it. Something else that’s very handy to have is the wand attachment. I got one that’s about 2 feet long to use for blowing dust, leaves, etc out of the engine compartments. You’d be surprised how much stuff collects there.

    That knob in the front is the regulator sir. Lol regulates how much air you put out. That’s why it’s so slow. Lol

  • @joshrawks21
    @joshrawks21 Před 14 dny

    You need to break it in before using it and filling the tank. Have to run it with the purge valve open and the psi reader to the max +. Run it for 15mins to let all the moisture out the tank. Then you close the purge valve and lower the psi to the lowest - . Then its ready to use

  • @michaelp9707
    @michaelp9707 Před 2 lety +3

    Should have read the Instructions 😂,They do say to break the compressor in for 15min to drain any moisture out first etc,which instructions give opposite start up directions to break in the unit than directions on compressor itself.Regulator valve on mine is tight on threads and does not screw easily etc but the rest of unit seems ok so far.Anyways thanks for the review 👍.

    As of October 2021 the HarborFreight Air compressors are no longer super cheap anymore

  • @Soli_Deo_Gloria_.
    @Soli_Deo_Gloria_. Před 2 lety

    When I bought mine 3 months ago they were $60. I grabbed one on sale at that $50. I was on the Harbor Freight website today and price went up. lol...
    Now they want $70. Ooofff...
    I finally opened it today to to test it before the 90 day return was up, and to blow off a window AC cooling coil.
    I had the regulator set to the maximum at 110psi, and it really is underwhelming. I underestimated the capacity and the refresh rate...
    It seems like a great little unit and I want to like it, but unfortunately for applications beyond filling tires or a nail gun it's inadequate.
    I'm thinking of returning it and upgrading to the 6 or maybe 8 gallon Mcgraw.
    Thanks for your time spent in reviewing it and keeping it real. :-)
    God bless you and yours

      For future reference try some high quality thread tape like blue monster and use it in the correct direction with 3-4 full wraps. Should work perfect every time.

    READ INSTRUCTIONS, learn how to use the air control knob, one guage shows tank pressure the other shows the pressure adjusted for the hose pressure.
