The Jacob McGuire story makes me wonder how we went from people being killed for literally doing anything (Salem witch trials) to nothing being done about literal stalkers and psychopaths with very clear criminal backgrounds...
My brain leans to people like Jacob McGuire being in power, sadly. 😢(Like the Royal family in England such as Andrew or William, and their giant familial line of baggage and illegal activities they continued.)
The majority of psychopaths and sociopaths that are highly functional work as CEO's, in medicine, law, finance, or politics the majority of the time. People like Sophie are just their 'pawns' in order to reach goals.
Though her case in particular seems like a man who is deeply mentally ill, those in power abuse the same people, so they often don't seek to break those structures. That could potentially lead to their downfall.
(A psychology study from 2019 for one example showed that 1 in 5 business leaders are psychopathic/ have the tendencies.)

I’ve had a dream like that before. It messes you up. In the dream, I met someone. Went through the whole process of getting to know him, dating him, and marrying him. We went through trauma together, fights together, deaths in the family together. It felt like years had passed in the dream. When I woke up, I was heartbroken. You for real grieve after those dreams, man.
It's rare to dream of entire past lives. Hold onto that, you're a rarity.

As a former law enforcement officer... I hope Sophie stays safe. Because I encountered a man who cut open a woman... He then realized he was wrong so he told the officers that it was a blow up doll, not a person. 😮 I hope Sophie stays safe with this man running loose.

The thing is...we don't really have institutions like that anymore in the US and there are pretty strict limits on how long the police can legally lock someone up on a psychiatric hold.
Everyone acts like it's the police not giving a shit when it's more the fact that civil rights protections don't allow locking people up who haven't been charged with a crime and our society hasn't come up with an alternative process for people with mental issues like that.
@@RachelHouk-ng3ql correct. When I started we took people with psych issues to be committed for however long the hospital staff deemed considering what they were attempting to do. Now they just get dropped off to the jail and the help is basic and minimal because it's jail, not a hospital. They get a short convo and put on meds. No one really talks about their issues any other time.

The dream girl’s story reminds me of the Lamp Story on Reddit (many years ago), where a guy was knocked unconscious and unknowingly lived like a 10 year long life with a wife and young kids until one day a lamp in his home starts to distort and after hyper-fixating on it for weeks he wakes up realizing that whole period of time was just a dream. The only difference was he never knew he was dreaming until the time he woke up.

i heard a story like that in school, about some kid that went of and lived an entire life, marriage, children grandchildren etc, even dies and in heaven gets told that he wasted his potential and then he wakes up and goes out to live his best potential. and i'm like "how can you dream an entire life, day after day?" telling the story takes minutes but the dream didn't.

I totally get how the dreamer girl feels. I have extremely vivid dreams that always feel real. Often times it seems like months go by.
One dream I had, my kids and I were celebrating my moms birthday, but a bunch of people were over. Randomly this guy who I’ve never seen shows up with a little girl. This little girl seemed uncomfortable. But then as they are leaving the party he has a storage bin and I can hear another little girl screaming for help. My motherly instincts kick in and I chase after him. I ask my mom to look after my other two while I handle some things. They get in a getaway car which I manage to sneak on the back of. Once I talk to the little girl that was with him about where the screams came from, she tells me she’s not allowed to tell me or she’ll die. I promised her that I would not allow her or the other girl to get hurt and that I would get them out. Basically I had to search their Volkswagen bus (him and his get away driver/wife were in the front seat) to find a make shift weapon. I so desperately wanted to find that other little girl so I can get these kids to safety. I found some parts and made a knife and came up behind him holding it to his throat. I had my phone in the other hand calling 911 to alert the police. He starts laughing and saying it’s too late. That the girl in the bin was already dying and she can’t be saved. The authorities did in fact come, and the little girl that was with him finally felt comfortable to share where the bin was. The first person that other little girl saw as she was freed, was me. She was bleeding and looked like she was assaulted. She was my own daughters age and I just broke down in tears. My heart physically hurt. I could feel it both in and out of this dream. I swore I would protect her and vowed that I would find her again when she’s out of the hospital. The police said that he and his wife were linked to 7 other missing person cases outside these two girls-never found. I ended up adopting this girl in my dream and became attached to her. She felt like my own daughter. I nearly killed this man to find her in order to keep her safe. As I embraced her in a hug, I woke up. I was holding my pillow so tight and my other pillow and face were soaked from crying. This dream felt so incredibly real. I literally grieved for that girl for weeks after my dream. It felt like I lost a child. I have no idea how much time passed in that dream, but I was only asleep for 6 hours.
I was thinking while reading how heart broken you'll be when you wake up.
It’s always interesting when you have very vivid dreams where you’re fighting with family members, then you wake up still pissed off at them but really, it didn’t happen. It can be very difficult to sort out what wasn’t real in your head.
I dreamt an entire conversation with my sisters about a guy who was friends with them and my boyfriend. They were telling me that he didn't like me for some reason or another. I was convinced it had happened and accidentally destroyed the friendship my sisters had with him. I was genuinely hurt and confused that he had a low opinion of me and approached him about it; and he thought the three of us were causing drama just for the heck of it. I'll never forget the looks of betrayal on any of their faces after I brought it up. Eventually, my sisters forgave me.
I have had a dream like that New Zealand chick. I have them semi-often. Never 40 years, but it's like I step into a different version of me for sometimes a day or a week or two. And I've cried because I missed my families from the dreams when i wake up. I'm honestly just happy to hear other people have them too! I felt a little crazy.

I know it’s insane but my fun theory is that those dreams like that are us tapping into another dimension of ourselves and becoming conscious in that reality for that amount of time before swapping back. Same like the other dimension you swapping you. I know I don’t REALLY believe it but it’s fun to think about lol. (Like Santa/tooth fairy when ur a kid)

My grandmother passed a few days before Christmas while I was deployed. I never got to say goodbye to her, but probably a month or so after I got back home I had a dream. The dream felt so very real and I actually woke up crying. In the dream I saw my grandmother and told her how much I missed her and how I felt bad for not being able to say goodbye. She pulled me into a hug and it felt like I was actually there hugging her. Like I can still remember her arms around me and feeling comforted. She told me even though I wasn't able to say goodbye before, I now had a second chance. I started crying, told her goodbye and that I loved her so much. She said she loved me too and to not worry about her as she was safe where she was at. I woke up and to this day it is still incredibly vivid. I can remember every part of the dream, which is weird because normally I forget what I was dreaming about seconds after I wake up. So crazy.
I had a similar dream scenario with my deceased father. T_T those dreams are the best tho!
Visitation dreams are the best, unfortunately I've never had one myself. I had a friend's spirit say farewell after a suicide but never anything from my family. Except the chickadees, but then, that's prolly just wishful thinking.

Boyfriend had a dream that he said lasted 3 years. He dreamed that in those 3 years we were surviving a zombie apocalypse. We got married. Had a baby girl. We were about to have another baby when he finally woke. He woke up in a panic, reaching for me and our little girl. He was relieved but devastated when he realized it wasn't real. He is adamant now that we are going to have a little girl first when we start trying for kids in a few years 😁

The dream thing is so interesting. I also heard of a man who was in a coma for two weeks(if I remember properly) and lived his whole life in his dream. Had a wife and kids and grandkids, and grieved all of them after waking up. They were like his real family, and this was probably even worse for him because he did not know it was a dream. But the fact this woman dreamt this in one night is crazy. The human mind is so amazing.

I have a dream city I regularly find myself in. I’m dreaming and look round and know where I am. And it’s not a city I’ve ever been in in reality….more like a combo of familiar places.
I heard of "The Lamp Story" if I'm correct; he only realised something was up due to the lamp looking off.
He got into a car crash and in the span of only a few minutes in the real world lived an entire life that never existed. And when he woke up he was still on the ground being checked over before being rushed to the hospital. Poor man had depression and had to get so much therapy
The story about the dream very much reminds me of the story were the guy wakes up thinking he was married with kids and when he finds out that the life he thought he had occurred in just a few minutes after he had been knocked out in a fight but to him had been years and was so real. he was so sad that the family he thought he had was all in his mind…a lot like his story.

I mean, yeah, everyone that is posting a splice with that is insulting the original poster. They're not outright saying it, but the entire deal with it is that they're mocking her for saying that not liking store bought pesto is crazy.

On the note of girly living a whole ass life span in her dreams, this has happned to me before where i fell asleep and lived a whole life where i met a red haired man , fell in love , graduated, got a job, had kids, grew old with him and retired , then he died in a chair while we looked at the sunset and i woke up back in my bed. I cried my eyes out and morned him for two months in secret.

I know a person who had a similar experience to the woman and her dream. This person was on a ventilator sedated for three weeks. During that time they "lived" several lives. When they woke up they still wondered what happened to their "mother" in one the dreams, and worried she would miss them if they never saw her again.

I think you’re right but clearly he’s a danger because he showed up outside that girls home and has a history of violence so mentally ill or not he should be in real jail. If he’s “sane” enough to find her house, drive there, and also file a false report with us Marshal’s he’s “sane enough” to go to real jail.
By real jail I mean like an actual prison instead of a mental institution because if he takes his medicine and behaves himself he could potentially get out of an institution while if he were in jail he’d have to stay there.
@@scarlet16moons5 he's not protected by the FBI. It's just the Kafkaesque procedures in US that they can't really do much unless it's too late or have something big and undisputed. Even psych holds don't last long unless they are an obvious threat to people.

I can heavily relate to the dream one. I'm a teenager, but a while back, I had a vivid dream of being pregnant for 9 months and giving birth to a mixed baby boy. Like her dream, no father was in the picture, but I remember everything. The labor process, the first time seeing him, holding him, nursing him. The changing of diapers and the fevers and sickness. I made it to his 3rd birthday when I finally woke up, and then I cried my eyes out because I was so confused about where my baby had gone.
Sometimes it still trips me out.
The main reason I've had those dreams is because I have siblings who are babies, and I help my mother take care of them. I've changed diapers, given them baths, and helped throw parties. And I still help do so. Truky is a crazy world.
A better reason you could be having those dreams, believe it or not, is that your soul is experiencing memories of past lives.
In reference to the girl having the 40 year long dream, I really thought she was going to say that she woke up after being in a very long coma.
I have had dreams like that. One particular one: after my baby girl was born, I vividly remember sitting at the piano with her on my lap, fiddling around and playing, and she loved it. This actually mirrors a personal experience, since my dad was a musician, and there are pictures of me as a baby sitting on his lap, watching him play piano. I started composing a piano piece for my daughter. She loved it. She was about 8 months old at this time. I woke up and cried so hard that I had lost my little girl. I then realized I still could remember the music I composed. I ran to the piano and got it all down. Long story short, I have a piece of music called Clara's Lullaby that I literally composed in a dream. I am also 100% my first girl (if I have one) will be named Clara.

I've had very intense pregnancy dreams like that second story before. I have no kids, I don't even want kids, but when I was 24 I had a dream that I had a baby boy, and it spanned like five years. The dream ended with my partner leaving me because our kid took after me too much and it was too much to handle, and my friends comforted me and I went to bed and my son came to bed with me. We snuggled. We were sad about his other parent leaving. And then I woke up and my first thought was "Wait... where's my son???" It was so intensely real. I'm never having kids, but I do sometimes remember that dream and like, idk. If that's a parallel universe me, I hope everything is going well and that kid grows up knowing his parent loves him very very much. Cause I LOVED him.

I onca had a really weird dream when I was holding a really tiny baby actually alive. Almost shrunken to be as small as a deck of cards or something. And I dropped him as he was sleeping inside a bunch of bushes or trees from above nesr where I live. I was looking for him frantic while crying and then I woke up. I felt really empty that morning. As if I was missing that tiny ass baby. Or I did something wrong.
The weirdest dream I had was about my mom. It was about her travelling without letting me know. Almost as if she took off somewhere abroad and didn't alert anyone. She ended up dying there somehow and I only caught wind of it from the news. Then she came back to town as a ghost and acted completely fine as if nothing happened (very normal for her to do so). She was repeating things like: "I died so what?" "Nothing happened!" and the worst one in my opinion: "I came back as a ghost. Why are you so upset?"
I was upset in the dream because she left somewhere and didn't tell me and died there and I only found out through the news. That I was incredibly sad about it and she didn't seem to care whatsoever. She proceeded to push the shopping kart as if nothing happend despite I was crying in frustration in front of her. I woke up and stared crying. My mom overheard me and came into my room to check on me. After telling her about the dream she chuckled saying that was exactly how she would've reacted in real life if this actually happened. I'm shocked.
I have 2 girls, but keep having dreams where we have an unexpected boy baby, and after I get over the part of "woah man this is too much to handle and this is crazy" then I love him! And then wake up without him!
My daughter, who is 20 irl, is always really little when she is in my dreams. I don’t think I’ve ever dreamed of her as an adult or even as a teen!

The dream story was the basic plot line of a Star Trek episode. Picard lived a whole life, had a family and raised them, etc, then he woke up and it was all caused by an alien civilization of the past as a way to share their lost culture.
That episode is so good but, it’s so tragic I have a hard time watching it.

I lucid dream and I can control my dreams and it feels like being in a movie. I have adhd as well and I have recovered from ptsd. The dreams I used to have when the ptsd was still in my head and affecting me were weird, confusing and insane and felt very real to the point of crying when I woke up. Thank goodness for therapy!
When I was younger, in secondary school, I would have these reoccurring dreams. I say "reoccurring", but what I mean is that each dream would carry on where the last left off, but there would still be time skips. Usually, it was the time period between each time I had these dreams (like if it was a week since I had a dream last, a week would have passed in this dream world).
In this dream world, I had a group of friends. I still remember all of their names. In these dreams, we were on the run from shady people, travelling across the world and trying to survive. It was literally like a YA novel.
One time, I got injured in the dream (I think I was shot?). In the dream, one of my fake friends (Nancy) was begging me not to go to sleep.
'Don't fall asleep again, please don't disappear like you always do. Please, we need you here right now.' Everything faded, and then I woke up.
This was the final of these dreams I ever had. I never dreamed about this fictional friend group again. Still gives me chills.

Omg, I had that kind of dreams that would continue when I was younger! It was always about my faily's tea house (my mom's work and has been in my family for generations) but it had a basement with a ton of rooms, and I would go deeper and deeper into it. I would see my "grandma" and "greatgrandpa" but they weren't the real ones, and the dream finished when I reachez the end and encountered my "greatgrandpa" with a ton of kids following him kinda looking like zombies. It was the weirdest dream ever and I still think about it
On Sophie's story, the problem is that in the USA a person cannot be kept on a mental health hold beyond 72 hours unless they are an IMMEDIATE threat to themselves or others. We need to change that to PREDICTABLE threat which is the standard in Europe and most other western countries. We got into this mess due to a couple of court decisions addressing serious abuses and some legislation. Our homeless problems are probably 60% due to this - people are self medicating and/or refusing to take their meds.

True but a lot of these people can't afford to see doctor to get the medication. And then they have to deal with the price of non-generic medication if they don't have coverage. Generic is not consistent and sometimes you'll be switched from one manufacturer to another which will mess up the mental conditioning.
What's my parents were MPS I have ADHD and I take medication. My mother was a Psychology major as well. OCD and are there complications due to me not getting proper treatment. My parents finally told me that I had ADHD and I should go see doctor after I almost lost my career job because I couldn't sit still.
Like a light switch. It was a huge difference in my life & relationship between incredibly better. I struggled with the idea of taking medication and had to learn how to be an adult again once I started taking the medication.
It all went well for about a couple years then I lost my job and couldn't afford the doctor I was seeing. Had to go to a different one and couldn't afford non-generic. It has never been the same since.
I have to get my medication every 2 weeks something happens and it's easier to miss a week versus 3 weeks. Since they keep switching out the manufacturer I do not have constant stability and it really sucks. I had to go through learn how to go through all these hoops to just get it and I stopped taking it three times because I was just done with the hassle. That proved to be not a good choice and it took me three times of getting off the medication to learn that.
I have to just put up with it jump through all the hoops and get switched back and forth between manufacturers every two weeks because I lose my medication and one week without medication is better than three.
It's a pain in the ass.

Only once did I think about committing suicide because of the trauma that was happening in my life. I was in shock & my body still experiencing the trama even though nothing physical have happening. My mind could not comprehend the bodies reaction to the trama I had endured. Emotionaly I was beat but always got through but the I had extended trauma the only intensified right before it ended.
I checked myself into the hospital and they asked if I would stay during the weekend because the psychologists were out and I did. They remarked how rear it is to have a patient checked themself in & agreed to stay the whole weekend was phenomenal.
Most people don't want to come and don't want to stay and often are forced to come because they don't get the help soon enough.
I knew I needed professional help. I could not figure out what was going on with me. After the weekend of slight evaluation Monday hit and I got the full diagnosis. I was told I was a perfectly happy normal person with extreme ADHD. I now have extreme PTSD with temporary depression because of the trauma I had experienced. Shit hit the fan & was elephant size.
The doctor went on to tell me that I could fully recover and he has faith that I wiould if I continue to seek professional help. He said it would probably take about 3 or 4 years, if I followed his advice, to fully recover and finally feel relief from the trauma I had experienced.
It was hell. I was terrified everyday it took me two years to feel happiness again. I was scared of everything. It took me literally four and a half years.
Now I am free from that wretched pain. I became an alcoholic during that trauma and I don't even drink anymore. °~•.☆.•~°

When I was 15 the man, a 21 year old, named Bart, that was medically discharged from the marine corps, that groomed me into a spicy relationship during the summer. Same summer my mom kicked my dad out of the house and started getting divorced from him. Not long after I turned 16 and was back in school, Bart and my mother sat me down at the dining room to tell me that he is breaking up with me to be with my mother. They are still married and I haven't spoken to her or had any contact with her since my 40th birthday. I'm now 49.
I’m so sorry, I don’t have a great relationship with my mom, but my lil brain cannot fathom she would ever do something like that to me.

In court be answered as "well i realized id been groomed when he and my mom sat me down and said he was dumping me for her which made me realize he was fucked up and so was she for wanting a man who fucked her fifteen year old
@@pandapies6703a lot of people don’t even realize they were groomed and that it was inappropriate until LONG after the statute of limitations are up. You’re expecting children to carry the burden of law when in reality the adults around her should be the ones doing so. You will often hear from victims 10-15 years later coming to the realization that it was wrong. That’s part of grooming, they convince the child that it is perfectly normal and common. They manipulate the child. That’s the whole thing.

The second story makes me so sad because I actually went through something very similar when I was about 19 years old. My brain had the most convincing dream ever that I was a mother and that I had a 2-year old son who was just the light of my life. I remember every detail about him to this day, and when I woke up and realized it was all a dream, I burst into tears. If I recall correctly, this sort of thing is known as a "Phantom Life Experience", though that may have just been a term I heard online.
Could have been information from one of your other lives. As in our soul/higher self incarnates many times as different human lives and the experiences of all those other incarnations become part of the soul that the other incarnations can access because they are all connected. Each incarnation is a part of the whole. I’ve experienced very realistic, detailed dreams that I know are not from my life. I’m experiencing someone else’s life first hand.

The dream story (timestamp 11:00) is eerily similar to one of my favorite Star Trek (TNG) episodes "Inner Light" in which Picard lives another life and he too experiences grief over his lost family.
I have had pregnancy dreams that went the whole nine months, even at times I would think "I can't be pregnant, this has to be a dream" only to have the doctor assure me I was really pregnant. I go though the entire pregnancy, from finding out to giving birth, and then they always take my baby away and I never get to even see him or her. I wake up sobbing every time. I have had this dream since I was about 15.
I had a similar dream to the woman with the 40 year dream. I was holding my newborn son and spent the day taking care of him. Feeding him, changing his diaper, rocking him to sleep while singing to him. I woke up once he fell asleep and I still think about my son to this day. I have two daughters now, had them both after this dream. When I am falling asleep I hope that I’ll see him again one day.
Maybe it's the you from another dimension if you believe that stuff or you in a past life.

That one made me completely break down. As a mother, my worst nightmare would be waking up in a world where he isn't, because I have lost a lot of people and it does come to seem like a dream eventually that they were ever in your life. It shook me, but that isn't the first time I have heard of someone having a lifetime within a dream. It's always sad.
I've heard of this and often wonder if it's the brain's way of processing a miscarriage that you weren't physically aware of. I think it's totally plausible and not weird at all.

The dream story .. i actually dreamed i was un analternate universe raising my kids all over again but the houses and scenarios were different. I raised them all over again from babies to adulthood we went to school functions etc. It seemed soo real and like her i knew i was dreaming. It was a whole lifetime in a dream.. i actually woke up 2 times that night and the dream picked up where it left off. That was the wildest dream i ever had

The dream story is wild. I grew up in a city and we used to walk everywhere. I also have always loved architecture, even as a child. I have whole neighborhoods that I visit and revisit in dreams. These dreams happen very far apart, but when I go back, I recognize that I’m in a Dream neighborhood. One dream neighborhood contains a street that has a house with a scary old woman in it and as soon as I find myself on that street, I freak out and wake myself up. Other neighborhoods are not scary but I get lost in them while trying to find my way to the main road.
about the one where she has the pregnancy dream, my guess is that she unintentionally shifted realities. to explain this very complicated concept, it's basically the belief that there are unlimited realities that we can experience, so there could have been a reality where she was in royalty, in harry potter, etc. but it happened to be that she was in this reality raising her son. time in those alternate realities is very different so for her to experience 40 years in one night is possible if a bit shocking and traumatizing for her. i would love to hear more of her stories !! I've always wanted to shift realities but probably not for 40 years lol

We need stronger stalking laws, otherwise people will continue to get away with things like this. Police cannot arrest somone because they make others uncomfortable, show up at a house, or do things that can be scary to others. Its frustrating but it also keeps people safe from unlawful arrest and false imprisonment.
Get involved and vote on a community level. Laws just don't happen, it's the citizens who vote for the people creating these laws.

While I haven’t had the dream thing, my ex had something similar (just not with pregnancy). The dreams would last months at a time before waking up and there was constant continuation of lore throughout every dream session and was consistent. Listening to him talk so casually about this seemingly other life he lives was fascinating. He was taught a recipe for traditional hot chocolate in the dream and made it irl too which was cool. (I know he wasn’t lying, that timid man couldn’t lie if his life depended on it lol)
Know im just an internet stranger but I don’t think he was lying either. My dreams are similar to what your ex experienced. There’s a whole city that’s not anywhere I’ve ever lived and the lore builds on previous dreams. It’s a bit disconcerting in my case tbh. Have phases (couple months a year usually) where I take sleep medication rather than deal with feeling like I’m living a double life. sometimes I’ll sleep for ages trying to get back there. It’s weird.

A few years ago, I had a dream I had a baby (I have no children and I'm not married). It was a boy too.
Well, I was around family with my baby. I was showing him off and they were affectionate over him, but I never let him out of my arms. I kept him close and treasured him.
I loved that baby, I was attached to him, and I was so happy (which was strange, because in reality, I used to not want children of my own).
When I woke up and realized it was all a dream, I felt such a deep and acute sense of loss. I missed that baby, and I felt off (like a piece of me was missing) that entire day, all because of that dream.

when i was 16 i had a dream i had a daughter called Riley, and she was so happy and energetic and reminded me of myself as a child always climbing on something and running around. Funnily, at the time I absolutely despised the idea of having children and other peoples kids irritated me. When I woke up from that dream, I also felt a deep loss of something precious and was sad I'd never see her again. I'm still not so keen on kids at the age of 21, though I don't hate the idea anymore. I'll probably consider it in my 30s.
When I was 16 I had a dream that I was happily married with a daughter and I was with her until she was about 5 years old, living that whole life, I was exhausted from being a mom and yet everything around me was love. When I woke up I thought it was a prophetic dream, it was so real and visceral, although the landscape and clothes were from somewhere I have never been. When I got pregnant 14 years later and my husband felt like the husband in my dream I was convinced the girl was coming to me, but I had a son, with a personality so similar to the girl I am still sometimes not sure if I just had a dream of a past life and now our paths crossed again or what happened.
So, the second gal who had that dream, that was an episode of Star Trek the Next Generation where Picard lived an entire life that wasn't his own and then woke up finally back in the real world after he'd lived for like 50-60 years.
It’s happened before to others too including myself when I went into a coma. Just because Star Trek had an episode doesn’t mean it came from the episode. Could just be the way you phrased it but just saying. Also I doubt that young lady has ever even seen Star Trek
I have heard a man at a similar age have that same dream. He didn’t give birth, but taught him skills. His son was 3 and he woke up. He also talked about missing and grieving that child. Before that dream he never thought he wanted to be a dad.😮😮😮
So, that dream story really got to me. I have very similar realistic dreams where I've died in a plane crash, had a miscarriage, and other horrible things. Other people never understand the trauma and grieving process for something that you logically know was never real. My heart breaks for her and her son, dream or not.
I wonder how common this is. I’ve been on an SSRI for 7 years and it gives me the most intense nightmares and vivid dreams. I wake up fully in a drench of sweat sometimes. Some of them really do f*ck with you, a handful of them have given me horrible, lasting car anxiety due to horribly vivid and graphic crashes

It is 100% made up, dont fall for her guilt trip. You can absolutely have intense life experiences in a dream, you can have unusually long dreams, you cannot dream for "40 years". That is absolutely not possible lol

I've had the dreams where you go to sleep and wake up expecting the dream to be over, and it's not. I've actually had panic attacks because I thought I would be stuck dreaming forever or that I died in my sleep. So believe that watching your son grow up can be a dream
I HAD A SIMILAR DAMN DREAM TO THE BABY ONE! I dreampt that I had just given birth to a beautiful baby boy with black hair and these piercing sapphire blue eyes. In the dream I raised him for the first two or three months of his life. The moment I woke up I actually started looking for him and I just started bawling. It's been a couple years since I've had that dream and I still miss my baby. I named him James. I hope that was just a premonition and I'll be able to give birth to him in real life within the next few years. If not then that was a cruel joke.

I've had that same kind of dream!!! I literally thought I was alone, and I still to this day "feel" out of place and miss the family I had in my "dream".
I absolutely believe some dreams are us entering another reality while we sleep. I've had some extremely realistic dreams where I just can't shake the feeling that I was in another world entirely. That story about the girl who raised a child for 40 years inside of one dream makes me think of all the dreams ive had that i've known I was dreaming but it was like I was in a new reality.

Sometimes I have very realistic dreams or dreams that just feel very deep, and when I wake up I can sort of still feel like the leftover feeling of the presence of the people I dreamt of (people I've never met). It's so surreal.
My dreams are usually pretty crazy. As in there's a defining feature that makes them dreams. Like the appearance of ghosts, mermaids, celebrities or some kind of psychedelic stuff going around. I've only had a few dreams with celebrities that seem somewhat realistic. I say somewhat because the odds of me meeting one of my favourite celebrities are very slim. But this dream had its own crazy too. Like my former English teacher giving me health advice ie telling me I might be pregnant. And some youtuber I follow consoling me over my celebrity boyfriend doing something bad I have no idea what it was. It was quite an interesting story. With a third main character that was somehow angry at me. It was so interesting I decided to write it down as a Wattpad story. It's still in the works and it's in Italian.
But if it's an alternate reality that means, there's a 40 year old, fatherless man somewhere, whose mother just disappeared without a trace on his birthday. That's so sad 🫤
I've had similar "lucid" dreams when I was at the height of unwellness with sleep paralysis and night terrors. It felt so real, and feeling the loss of people who don't exist really messed with me.
It's nice to know I'm not alone in going through that as many commenters can empathize.

I remember a reddit story where a guy had a dream like the girl in the video. He had a full family, wife, kids, etc. He lived his daily life and one day noticed something was off. Iirc then his wife told him to wake up. He woke up and griefed, he missed his family from the dream so much he had to actually go to therapy for grief counselling. I cannot find the actual thread anymore, only other ones similar to it with how it screwed with those people, but I do remember a reddit thread like I mentioned.
Edit: Okay, so I looked it up, the guy had a head injury and had a "dream" of 10 years of living a happy life. That only happened within the time-span of him busting his head open and being taken to the hospital.
it makes sense to me, since 5 minutes can feel like a whole day in dream world. if you were dreaming constantly the whole night, it would literally feel like a lifetime. i think she might have sleep apnea or some sort of night terror thing
I feel like Ive had this scenario of trying to wake up/ go to sleep or trying to go to the bathroom and my brain just handles it as either not realizing that I actually tried to lay down and go to sleep and just looping back to where I was still looking for a bed to sleep or that I wake up right away in the dream still completely exhausted
I have had dreams where in the dream I clearly know the person and can feel the emotions of excitement, happiness and relief seeing them again but then I wake up and I have no clue who they are. We are multidimensional and we could very well be living alternate lives on different timelines.
I normally don't dream. I dream maybe 3 or 4 times a month. So, when I do, it scares the hell out of me. It's either some horror amalgamation or it's some snippet of the future that means absolutely nothing. The future side has only happened a handful of times, but it has spooked me because I can't remember it UNTIL the moment is about to happen.
Anyone who says “if you can’t vibe with me it’s your fault,” is definitely the one whose fault it is.

I actually had a dream like that girl in the second story when I was like 20 and was having a pregnancy scare. I dreamt of going through the whole process of pregnancy with my bf, giving birth and raising our son till his teenage years. It was a very long and elaborate dream and I woke up and cried. And mourned for my son that I was never pregnant with in the first place. Motherhood dreams when you're not ready to be a mother hurts. :'(
I've had similar pregnancy and baby dreams like that Kiwi lady did before. I completely get how she feels with grieving like that.

Holy crap I had nearly an identical dream where i raised a whole child 😂 I never wanted kids, and I still don't, but i literally still think about her sometimes. I was asleep for like 13-14 hours which is a crazy amount for me and my insomnia 😂 i'm glad i'm not alone, i felt so weird/off for weeks after

Someone else in the comments section said they had this dream too and also didnt want kids irl. My theory is that you are being shown what your life could be like if you chose to have a child. I think its interesting that both of you had this dream and didnt want kids. You would think that someone who really wanted kids would be more likely to have this dream since that is something they are constantly thinking about, but who knows, maybe the subconscious mind runs this through just to make sure you know the alternatives.
I had a dream when I was 19 about having a son with black hair and followed his journey with him as he aged. I have a mixed stance of having children. I want them, but I was/am not yet ready.
I had a dream i had a baby girl and i was so happy to have her, she was the cutest thing when she smiled and i remembered her so vividly. We were doing so much together, we were reading books, dressing up and she got to meet my friends. Then i woke up, and i was like "wheres my baby? I need to wake her up" i got so depressed when i realized she wasnt there and i still remember her so vividly. The brain does crazy things man.

I've had that baby dream without the pain (Thankfully)!! my dream lasted "2 Years" with my "daughter". I woke up and phoned my mom crying because I don't have a daughter anymore. She was very sweet and understanding. I am not a mom but just got married and hope to be :)

That girl's dream story sounds like "The Inner Light" episode of Star Trek: TNG where Picard gets hit with an energy beam from a device that puts him into a dream where he's stuck on another planet. He eventually accepts his circumstances, gets married, has children, and lives an entire life. When he's on his deathbed he gets snapped back to reality and it was only a few seconds that had passed. It was that culture's way of passing on their story. It's one of my favorite episodes because I've got stuck in a dream for what felt like years and lived another life that wasn't real.

As a paranormal investigator I must say I never had a client with a another life dream that lasted that long before. The dream isn't worrying it's just something your brain is trying to tell you that you keep pushing down emotionally.
The chick talking about her dreams had extremely lucid dreaming going on. Ive had this before, especially when i was severely depressed and would just keep trying to sleep. Your body doesnt actually need the sleep, so you enter a state of lucid dreaming. Ive had it where i was dreaming about laying in my bed, unsure if i was awake or not, so i tried testing myself to see if i were awake or asleep, and then i would wake up... in my dream. This cycle repeated several times. It was so realistic that every time i "woke up," i couldnt tell if i was awake or dreaming. I started freaking out that i had maybe died or i was in a coma or something. It was freaky.
I lived 7 years in a dream when u was in highschool. I went to bed, woke up as a young man in the USA, graduated, learned trades, became a plumber, worked for years and then one say simply....woke up me again. And then had to go to school and act as if nothing ever happened

It's awful how hard it is to get something done from police when it comes to stalking. Years ago I had delt with someone trying to break into mine and my ex's old apartment for months. Long story short, I knew who these people were but couldn't prove it without photo evidence so the cops did nothing! My neighbors caught them trying to get onto my balcony and tackled them, we called the police and they just let them walk home. I delt with it for months, property damage, slashed tires and could never sleep because they were always trying to get in when they thought we weren't home. I was 18 at the time so i think the police didn't take me seriously but I delt with years of paranoia and sleep problems because I was so terrified of someone getting into my place no matter where I lived after that. I couldn't believe they just got off with a warning and walked home.
I’m so sorry! It’s extremely psychologically damaging. My mom had an adult man start stalking her in middle school and followed her for almost 2 decades. He would j*rk off onto photos of her and leave them at her windows or door. He followed her across states and he was still a problem when I was born. Police never did anything but keep adding to the huge paper trail. Luckily he died. And good riddance. But my mom would not get a Facebook, linkdin or any kind of internet footprint with her name despite being a computer programmer. She still won’t to this day just because of the leftover trauma despite him being long gone ):

It's crazy, how it messes with you (and for how long), even if there was no physical violence. And people who haven't gone through that, tend to not really understand that, am I right? Though in all fairness, I didn't either, before it happened to me. And the fact, that you feel utterly betrayed by the police/legal system doesn't exactly help, either.
I'm lucky to live in the state of Colorado because we have we strict stalking laws to the point that the look on your face when you call the cops about this can and will get people arrested and charged with a fine or up to four years in prison. Emotional duress alone can get you a restraining/protective order. We dealt with a neighbor who was threatening harm and trying to break into our house when I (14 or younger at the time) was home alone.

@@Cashhhhew It was possibly because of the district I lived in we lived five blocks from an elementary school, my mom had written account of every time she tried something simply because she's like that, we were granted a protective order in less then a month because she threatened violence against my mom and threatened to kill her under aged daughters. We also lived in rented property so we also had the file on record with our housing management. Also Vonnie's law was not in effect until 2012-2013. This happened around that time.
The story from the woman who lived her life in her dream was very moving. There is actually a Star Trek, Next Gen episode where Picard goes through something similar, and it's one of the best episodes in the series.

This is what I thought of, too! Also, there is one where Deana Troy is chosen by an alien to be its mother. She gets pregnant and raises this kid to adulthood in something like 48 hours.
Came here to say exactly this…and honestly I was like “you just got this from a Star Trek TNG episode” until I started reading all these other comments. 😮 I’ve had my fair share of what I call cinematic dreams but never one that made me think I had a whole other life. I guess these aren’t as uncommon as I thought!

I’ve also had a kid and raised them in a dream and I woke up when he was 5 I was panicking and looking for him when I woke up and just started sobbing when my brain caught up to the fact that he didn’t exist. I went into a month long deep depression episode and I still miss the feeling of holding him in my arms even tho I know it wasn’t real

He then woke up in a different civilization and lived a long life there, culminating in the launch of that very probe. He was actually out for about 30 minutes; but he felt like he lived for decades on that other world.

I've definitely felt pain in my dreams several times before, but the worst time was when I dreamed that whatever city I was living in had been bombed and completely decimated. I had to crawl across glass on my bare hands and knees to free myself from a collapsed parking garage, and when I finally freed myself, I was pulling HUGE shards of glass out of my arms and legs and trying to control the large amounts of blood spilling out of the wounds. I could feel EVERYTHING! I think it's because I do suffer from chronic pain in my real life that I'm able to feel pain in my dreams. It was a pretty terrifying nightmare, that's for sure!
I have pain in my dreams too. I figure that my brain is rationalizing my migraines or fibromyalgia. I'll wake up with either a migraine or pain in whatever part of my body I dreamt was injured.
That's horrifying, I also got a really messed up realistic nightmare once.

I have never experienced SA in real life but one day a year ago I had a very vivid dream about a man who looked just like Bucky Barns aka The Winter Soldier from the MCU when he had long hair. He came into my classroom with a gun and shot everyone except for me, I remember screaming as everyone was dying infront of me, then he told me to strip with a gun pointed at me and straight up started SAing me right next to my friends deadbodied, I felt all of it and it seemed to real. I could not tell that it was me just dreaming. Then he left and I woke up and after realising it was a dream I just laughed uncontrollably in my bed then cried and had a mental breakdown. I think I even got PTSD from that nightmare. It's so wild to me that our minds can create such realistic dreams and like for what? I did not need that experience in my life. I actually liked the actor who played The Winter Soldier and I'm sure he is a cool guy but now I cannot even look at him the same way. Idk what is wrong with me for even dreaming that. 😭

One time I dreamt of the place where we were going to without having seen pictures of it. & it looked like that. The dream turned into a nightmare tho, that started in a grocery store close by, & irl my mom stopped by the store like in the dream, but I decided not to go in cause I was afraid that my nightmare would come true 😂

The dream one is a very real thing. And so was the grief that came when she woke up.
11:06 So a similar thing happened to another guy. He met the love of his life, they married, had kids that grew up, etc. He experienced it all and then something happened and he woke up to people standing around him and EMT's working on him. He'd been in some kind of accident and got knocked out. He talked about waking up confused and asking where his wife was and then mourning the loss of a life that he'd experienced in his head that never really happened. Maybe he really did switch places with the him of another reality.
