âIâve always been the quiet one. The one that wouldnât hurt a flyâ
Narcissistic and manipulative words there. He knows exactly what he did.
Norman Bates!!đ«
He's a paranoid schizophrenic. My mother is one too. Living with such a person is a living hell.
Sounds Like Norman Bates, when Bates Mother Completely Took His Mind Over, He's Waiting For The Blanket, His Mother Says "Im Not Even Going To Swat That Fly, I Hope They Are All Watching, They'll And They'll Know, They'll Say, "Why, She Even Wouldn't Hurt A Fly."
He sounded just like Norman Bates from Hitchcock's 'Psycho', didn't he?
Dismembering a body is a task that requires determination and dedication. He didnt just stop at murdering her, he went above and beyond evil. So he knew what he was doing.
I think he chopped her up more to aid with disposal than anything else.
@@eadweard. True. But it takes a special kind of evil to dismember someone.
@@charlalar14 I just watch way too much true crime.
Yeah, no way he blacked out and forgot all of that. Absolute evil.
Not that it isnât horrifying, but I think the majority of cases where dismemberment occurs is out of sheer self preservation. Itâs not something the person had the intent to do originally, even if they planned the murder, itâs done out of necessity to expedite the disposal of the body and make it less likely for the person to be identified and found.
This video is hard to watch, how her brother could do that to her I will never know, Gemma was a friend of my sons he was devastated when she was murdered by her brother, he's never forgot her and talks about her quite often . RIP Gemma sadly missed but not forgotten.

I hate how he bigs himself up in his letter, talking about how he'd usually always put the family first etc. Then his lies about his sister and pretending he couldn't remember what he did. He has no remorse or sense of responsibility.
Wouldn't hurt a fly too he said, yet Gemma wore sunglasses to conceal the black eyes he gave her. I'm guessing he was a complete failure who believed he was better than he was, and resented the loved sister who'd been successful enough to be in Eastenders , and probably had hated her for a very long time. Tony murdering Gemma was always going to happen, he just needed a trigger to set him off and an opportunity to conceal it. Gemma deserved better, while he was always a waste of a soul.

My God, I could never understand how someone could murder another person, let alone their own sister. Then, dismembering them. Beyond evil
Absolutely.. Insane, how a person is quiet willing to intentionally murder another soul especially one of your family members is beyond my comprehension..
@@maiaplayzxxgatcha1463 it's horrible to think that a family member could be thinking about doing that to me right now and I don't know. Urgh, too much true crime makes me so paranoid sometimes lol.

She supposedly had a knife, and this is supposed to be self-defense on his part? Why am I failing to buy his absolutely INSANE story?!!
Because, aside from all the other evidence that she'd never do that, there's a clue in his words. He said, when he supposedly saw the knife, he couldn't believe what she was SAYING. Not what she was DOING. Meaning there was no knife. He was an abuser who couldn't believe his victim would have the nerve to tell him to leave.

So he was abusing her for her entire life! What was the rest of the family doing about that? They must have known! With the black eyes and bruises. And what was she doing living with him after all that abuse? He must have had an emotional grip on her , but she finally decided, no more. And the drugged up manic went into a co dependent rage. He was certainly fixated on her with some kind of emotion ownership. A kind of a reverse if I canât have you then nobody will. God rest her sole and heal her, what a beautiful sole đ
Excellent observations
Agree with all you said.. my thoughts exactly
That would definitely explain why she had a knife with her on the stairs..
Agreed. But it's soul , not sole
If she was been abused by her brother, all I can say is, you will put up with a lot of abuse from a family member and not press charges as no one wants to admit that their son, daughter, brother, sister, mother or father is abusing them , and they don't want to send them to prison on charges against them as deep down you hope they will change đ of course not everyone thinks this way but many do. You must also remember it's your word against them in many cases. Also you must remember 30 years ago the police often didn't do anything when you did report it. Prime example man kicks step child so hard while wearing steel capped work boots that their lower spine was fractured in five places, the stepchild decided this time ive had enough so reported it to the police, while reporting it they were asked really are you sure it was him i dont believe it we drink together every weekend, after saying yes im 100% sure they said well do you really want to report this sounds like it's a clear case that you did something wrong and was rightfully punished, they replied do you truly believe having your spine fractured in five places is a suitable punishment for someone slamming a door too hard, look at my back it's black all the way up to my shoulder blades, I can hardly walk, I can't even bath, dress or look after myself and have to have a friend help me do everything its was my tutors at college who have told me i must report this as a assault after asking what happened and i showed them my back as treatment like this must not go on, the doctors told me a injury like this is usually a result of a very bad car or bike accident they also told me I had to report it so here i am, they said yes as a father has a right to punish a child how they see fit and both the drs and teachers are overreacting. They were not even a child when this happened they were 18, and they demanded they charge him with assault !! However even though the police were very very reluctant they did turn up to talk to the stepdad and the stepdad actually admitted to doing it giving the exact same story as the stepchild, the stepchild even has the paperwork saying yes i did it and i was obviously a little bit more heavy handed this time compared to what i usually do, the stepchild was there when he admitted it to the police and when both him and police officers had a good laugh about it and they told him ok mate I get it just try not to leave any bruises and marks next time as you have gone a little bit too far this time as you have obviously injured her pretty badly since the hospital report says you fractured her spine and they have only seen injuries like this after a serious car or bike accident, but she will recover so dont worry about just dont kick or hit her as hard next time or just hit her where bruises cant be seen and dont cause as much damage after all it doesn't look good on you or your family when people can see the results of the punishment, they turned to the stepchild and said now young lady remember and learn from this, if you didnt slam that door you would never have been punished so its your own stupid fault and you know as well as i do that you deserved the punishment given to you !! The case was then dropped by the police and they arranged to meet up for a drink that night !! The stepchild tried again with a different police department and was told the exact same thing by them too. They now lives a life of chronic back pain, and have done since the day it was injured, which has only got worseover the years and they have been told they will end up in a wheelchairone day but so far has avoided that thanks to a lot of very very strong pain medication, howeverthe medicationis causa whole list of other serious problems. This of course aldo left them thinking what's the point in telling the police when they do nothing and just tell you it was your fault đ.
Notice he said, "I couldn't believe what I was hearing" after accusing her of holding a knife. He didn't say, "I couldn't believe what I was seeing." He was angry at her words, not her supposed actions (he was clearly lying about). He didn't express fear but anger. Also, him saying he wouldn't hurt a fly ticked me off because he'd choked her twice before and was her abuser!
He possibly just wasn't very eloquent.
I noticed that as well. Even if she was holding a knife she was only 4â11â.
yess that makes so much sense. I cant believe i missed that part
In all my years I've never known anyone who smoked weed to decide to chop a family member up because it made sense whilst they were under the influence! That's on them not the weed!
I was looking for this commentâŠI definitely agree with you
I was looking for somebody that had the understanding that the serious toxic marijuana called skunk probably had nothing to do with it! mental illness is what had to do with it!! people who have those kind of issues shouldn't do any kind of drugs or alcohol. because of how the drugs can affect their mental state... the fact that he's in jail now and still shows no remorse shows it wasn't the pot...poor gemma... she had no idea the kind of person that she was dealing with she just figured it was her brother being a jerk and he needed some tough love and that's what she got for being a sister....

But also disinformation about cannabis...
â@@Maintenance_MarkI fail to see any disinformation. It is made perfectly clear that Tony's excuse of cannabis-influenced amnesia was a bunch of bollocks, so what are you referring to?
@@DanHowsen it's been a really long time since I watched this video so I would have to refresh my memory by watching it again but if I am remembering correctly that this is the correct video then I believe there was some misinformation about possible addiction or some other aspect of the cannabis use. Just listen to the claims made about cannabis and then Google them for yourself individually and you will understand how the content creator is factually inaccurate about one of their claims regarding cannabis
A situation like this must be devastating for the family. Essentially losing 2 children at once and having to struggle with the awareness that the son you raised was not only a drug addicted loser, but was capable of such a heinous act.
I donât believe that he blacked out. He just doesnât want anyone to know the full extent of what he was capable of, nor the extreme level of his selfish cowardice in hiding his actions by dismembering the special person that he knew his family would desperately miss.
He was a dirty, smelly loser who smoked pot all day. It's not a loss to anyone.
Really sad case. Why did no one take action to intervene in the abuse she suffered at the hands of Tony any earlier? The abuse may have been sporadic / few and far in between, but it sounds like there were never any repercussions for Tony. He could seemingly just do as he pleased đ evil f#*k
What might someone have done?
I thought that very same thing too
Yes, and I was wondering how he ended up living in her house knowing what kind of a person he is (I presume it was hers if she was able to kick him out?).
Did he play on her kind and generous nature, giving her some sob story about how he had nowhere else to live? Making her feel as though it'd be all her fault if he ended up living on the streets?
I'm sure it didn't take long after he'd got his feet under the table for him to resort to his shitty behaviour and her to bitterly regret letting him move in.
I doubt it was even that sporadic considering he wasn't trying to make anything of his life, was always high, and there was the constant stress and strain of a sick mother. Seems like there would have been endless "opportunities" for an addicted bum to pop off on someone doing the actual work and someone who was weak and sick. He terrorized his family and, like any abuser, finally took the life of the person he abused.
I have watched this on a different channel. There was a suggestion that the mother was the original lease holder but had handed over to Gemma when she fell ill. So Tony felt he had as much right to be in the flat as she had.
The one juror that believed the brother was not guilty must have been smoking even stronger skunk than he was!
Yep, he should have been a judge!!!!!đđ
Such a sad loss for her family and friends. Let's hope that devil never gets let out on parole!!! Thanks for the upload, sisters, and enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!
She bailed him out so many times- whatever the argument-murdering, then dismembering your sister- in her own home! Wt?? Jeez, that poor girl. The other brotherâs head must be forever messed up- how very sad- prayers are with you đ
The brutality of this case is incredible, more so because the perp is the real brother. I don't believe that drugs are solely responsible for this horrendous crime...he must have had some evil in him that cannabis brought to the fore. His claims of amnesia are as pathic as the man himself. My heart goes out to the father. RIP Gemma!
Me and acquaintances back in the days used to smoke skunk we never became delirious it wasnât the highest quality of weed Iâve even smoked the three top Cannabis products which are honey oil and Thai stick and opiated Thai stick. When youâre high on these products you donât want no conflict you just want to kick back and enjoy the high it makes you mellow.
And especially when to do drugs or not is a CHOICE. So i hate when drug users try to use drugs as an excuse for their horrendous acts/crimes. They really try to act like they not aware the effects of drugs on those who uses it. Its a choice they make. So bear the consequences, mfs. I just wish they would rather harm themselves instead of harming others.
I cannot understand killing your own sister and ABSOLUTELY not killing and dismembering her... that is just horrific and psychopathic and unforgivable
I can never fathom how someone would kill and cut up another human being, let alone his own sister.

20 years is pathetic for a crime like this. Not just murdered by your own flesh and blood, but cut up like a piece of butchers meat and dumped in a river like trash đđ. Nobody deserves to leave this world like that. Except maybe the ones that do it to others.
Life sentence, 20 years minimum. Hopefully he never gets out on parole.
Should have been boiled alive
Itâs insulting that the sentence says he can be eligible after 20 years that alone is tragic
Once they take it so far as *dismemberment* of the body, an unforgivable line has been crossed (Becky Watts) and any leniency is lost. Death in prison... however it may come.
Is it really so important what they do _after_ they've murdered the person? Seems like a fairly unimportant detail.
@@eadweard. I think we all can agree murder is crossing a line but there are many forms of murder.
Some of passion, some out of pure evil, some can even be by accident but I think we also can agree that taking someone apart, showing no respect in life or death for whatever reason is crossing a further line and one that cannot be understood let alone justified.
For example, can one justify a father taking the life of someone whom killed or sexually assaulted their child?
Probably not but it can be understood. If that same father was to chop the person up as well things would be different
@@eadweard. I'm atheist, so this isnt a religious thing, but the dismemberment is very relevant.
Imagine being a parent who found out your son had murdered your daughter. Now imagine finding out he had cut her up and disposed of her remains like trash. Seems like the murder would be bad enough, but the dismemberment would add to the devastation. They had to postpone the funeral until all of her body parts were found. Imagine sitting there waiting for your child's head for be found. You have the rest of her, but not her head. Your son knows where it is, but he's pretending not to.
The dismemberment is definitely adding insult to injury in the worst way. I don't believe there's a soul, or that the body is in any way relevant to the victim after death, but it's very relevant to the family members.
@@lifesquandered That is all true and sensible, but the OP said that dismemberment means that "an unforgivable line has been crossed" - as if the murder itself was forgivable, and didn't cross a line.
@@eadweard. - murder is unforgiveable in itself, but I can kind of see how it sometimes happens - people high on drugs and in a blind rage could have beaten somebody about the head a few times and that killed them. Heat of the moment, they didn't stop to think etc etc.
Going through all the effort of mutilating their body and watching the family members in pain, knowing that people out in the street might find those parts... that's a whole different type of unforgiveable.
We donât have long enough prison sentences for murder in the UK ..

Its so cute to hear someone young talk about a strain of cannabis called "skunk" being we smoked skunk back in the 90s, it's not really a particular strain as much as a type of weed that has a skunk like smell when burning, I have seen Skunk varieties in seed catalogs like "suoer skunk and Skunk #1" but back in the day skunk wasn't a patented variety.
I'm new to this channel and I would like to say that the narraters voice is so clear and easy to listen to. Rest in Peace Gemma đ
The catch-22 of the criminal in prison: risk telling the truth and face the family's rejection, or risk telling a lie and hope the family believes the lie, and continue supporting him while in prison. He lost.
Look forward to listening to this. Thank you.
Youâve gotten really good with adding different background music, I love your choices.
This is great research and you have a gift as a narrator....
đ„đđ Bless the surviving family members they have been through so much â€ïž what a horrifying case. This is too much for one family to go through. My deepest sympathies. đčđč
