Thank you for this video. This video alone helped my son and I retain his headlight on his 224 swapped CT200u-EX
Glad it was a help. Thanks for watching.
I have a 3 wire headlight on my minibike and the boy I got it from cut the connectors off of the headlight and the charging wires. The 2 yellow ones. Where do the 3 headlight wires go to
Thanks, dude. This is very helpful!
Thank you for the encouragement! I appreciate you watching!
Thank you so much gonna save me money I was about to buy a new flywheel and coils.
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching! We’re going to be doing some really cool stuff to this mini bike and I’m hoping to get some footage on it. Welding gussets into the frame and building up the 224 a bit.
Yeah it's just a parts swap over and the 224 uses a clone flywheel taper. All new engines of this type uses a crankshaft with a clone flywheel taper except the common Predator 212's. Tillotson, Wildcat, Ducar all use a clone taper. Thankfully the 224 and now the new 212 Ghost have clone crankshafts with a clone flywheel taper. Predator 212 was always the oddball with a unique crankshaft.
My headlight has 3 wires coming from it. Green, blue, and white. They cut the connectors off. Where do the 3 wires go. The connector is cut off of the charging wires as well. Please help
👍
Is there another way to get lights working on the predator 224?
Unfortunately not if you want to run power from the engine itself
Why can’t power be taken from the spark plug power?
Great video, I’ve been trying to figure out why none of the wires on my 212 give me electricity!
You really don’t want to draw power from the ignition. I don’t know if any manufacturer who has done it that way. The dual coils and magnets setup shown here is the typical way to do it.
@@MaineMachinist great thanks for the reply. I’m assuming the 212 is the same?
I have my 196cc still, so I can pull the coil from it.
Didnt work on my predator 212...started her up, but the headlight didnt come on😢
If you follow the steps shown here exactly, it will work. Maybe there’s a loose connection. Pay careful attention to the magnets. Make sure the flywheel is correct.
I fail to see how this is an upgrade if you left it stock unless the 196 was dead.
This allowed for a better base to build up from. The engine and bike was further modified as time went on.
So if you're going to swap the tin parts over to the Predator, you don't have to remove the grommet, wires from the grommet, or the wires from the plug. You can swap them all together.
It is true you could do that. However when we first started we weren’t sure if we’d have to change it some to miss the oil sensor. It’s also a little easier to get everything in place and handle it all separately I think.
You talk too damn much
Feel free to move along
