    As a truck driver I appreciate you saying "I get it" at the 9:30 mark. Sometimes our best choice is still not a good one. They are slow and heavy and dont get going very fast.. I can wait minutes to turn with a big line behind me. At some point you just have to turn and hope people understand, we don't like it either. Everything you hate about a big truck we hate 100x more I promise.

    Bought this bike back in 2018 with the 107. I sold it 3 months later and bought a 2019 street glide special. Just sold my street glide ( which I absolutely loved and is my fav bike ever ) because it made financial sense. Was offered alot more then the bike is worth i my eyes. Used it 3 yrs and sold it for almost the same I paid. Now im looking to buy another bike and realize what I really need and the truth is this streetbob is more then I need ( weekend worrier ) and im very familiar and comfortable. I would just upgrade the grips seat and exhaust. And thats that! Will be by the dealer soon.

    I love all the colors that come on this bike. I feel like this will attract a lot of younger riders who don’t want to spend low rider S/Fat bob money. As far as the tuner issues it’s a little annoying but i get it emission laws are getting tougher and tougher.

    10:45 - Your access to dealership services without excessive cost is huge. Most of us don't have that luxury. Restricting aftermarket access to tuning that has been on point for years is just a ploy for more money, plain and simple. Standard service intervals, if not done yourself, are already crazy expensive. My Street Bob 1K service was $350. My Honda CB650R 1K service was $125.

    Great video thank you I use an external microphone and you have to get the microphone adapter to the GoPro. I tuck the mic inside my full-face helmet. This way it cuts the wind noise and still picks up the engine sound.

    • @cycletron
      @cycletron Před 3 lety +1

      @@throttleblip9854 I bought a cheap one from Amazon and I am looking for a better one now. What you want to get is a lavalier type microphone with a 3.5 mm jack. Make sure you get the jack that has 2 black stripes on it and not 3 stripes. The 2 stripe one works with the GoPro mic adapter. You have to get the adapter from GoPro and it costs about $50. The problem with the mic adapter is that you have to leave the side cover open while the adapter is plugged in. No big deal unless you are riding in the rain. I am still new to working with these GoPros. You then have to tape all the wires from adapter and microphone to your helmet. Some people recommend using gaffer tape instead of duct tape because it is not as gooey. Also you will want to use a "dead cat" to cover the mic. It looks like a fuzzy ball that cuts out wind noise. Capturing good audio while riding can be a challenge so it is kind of a trial and error thing.

Like the difference in foot mounting position. Nice bike. Very comfortable. The Sport Glide a little different again, but so nice. Really, they all offer something for everyone. My only complaint is the price. :P

Not that they need it lol. My dad has been riding for thirty years and he always says my bike is too fast for him. I think the chest mount is good for bikes without fairings. But want to get on a bike with the fairings, it's hard to really see anything.
    It's hard did suggest wind noise options without knowing what GoPro you are running. I know for some models they make a foam cover, that goes over the entire GoPro to help eliminate wind noise. I believe some of the models also have electronic wind noise reduction settings. Otherwise, you may have to get external mic with the dead cat to get rid of the wind noise, but it should still capture the engine noise.
    I have been enjoying your videos. The walk around and test rides on the 2021 models have been great to watch.

      I’ve owned a couple of bikes with no front fairings and honestly my Street Bob 114 is the hardest one to ride long distances if I plan on going over 65mph. I had a 09 Crossbones (similar mini apes) and it was so much smoother to ride. Plus you only have a realistic range of 150 miles with the 3.5 gallon tank.

    Tilt the camera a little higher. Wind noise, you may not want to go to this extreme but this is my set up.
    Go pro with mic adapter, mic with furry wind sock mounted inside helmet, a separate sound recorder with microphone and wind sock. The mic for the separate recorder is mounted close to the exhaust. I make a clap or loud noise so I’m able to sync the audio tracks in the editor.
    You’re doing voice over after the fact so I would still do the mic adapter, a good mic, and the furry wind sock.
