  • All the details discussed on the newly redesigned Harley-Davidson Street Bob. In the 2021 model year Harley-Davidson has stepped up the appeal to one of their most popular bobbers. With a bump in displacement and a refresh on the paint graphics, the Street Bob now has more of an appeal than before. Matt and Nick of Laidlaw's Harley-Davidson jump into the details and talk about all the factors to consider if you're looking at the FXBBS as your next motorcycle.

The fact that you guys can make a full in depth review of bikes that don't have a ton of changes year to year and still make them engaging while offering new perspectives says a lot about your channel. It's funny because I have a softail low rider that I have no interest in trading but I still watch all your reviews start to finish.

Totally agree. For starters, these reviews played a huge part in helping me decide on a 2020 Street Bob last year. That’s how I found this channel in the first place. But also, here in Maryland, in the winter months when the weather isn’t ideal for riding, I still want to be engaged in the motorcycle world. The reviews are so informative and entertaining, that I’ve come to treat it almost like a TV show.

I really like that color. What’s funny is I can’t decide which color is my favorite. I like all 4 this year. The thing that makes me think I would choose the deadwood green is I’m kind of an understated guy. I think the black with orange and the orange with black is a little loud for me. They look great, but too loud for me. Then, the white... again, I like it with the graphics on the tank, but white has never been my favorite for any bike. So, in the end, I think your choice would be mine too.

    • @estebantobes1158
      @estebantobes1158 Před 3 lety +5

@@RevJay_Rides Definitely go with the Green. I’m the same way. White and orange is too loud, and everyone has black. The green is noticeable, but subtle. I was worried in the beginning because of the fairings, sissy bars and other black accessories that I planned on adding, but I actually fell love with the look. The Deadwood green gives a good but understated contrast.

Yep…. It’s the best channel for Harley Davidson content.. I’ve become a relatively knowledgeable Harley guy in a short time due to the content on this channel … In a months time, I have learned so much about Harley’s… the different classes, I.e. sport, cruiser, touring and adventure bikes, the difference in each of the bikes in each class and how the Softail changed and phased out the dyna.. and why…. I learned a lot about the upgrades available….and have seen details on every single bike that I am interested to know about… Plus it’s entertaining… very well produced….
There should be a tv show…. Idk. Called laidlaw Harleys ,, Kinda Like Orange County choppers,,, except just everyday Harleys…. Don’t need the bikes that no one actually will want to ride… no fancy paint jobs and chopped bikes…. It should be about bikes that people actually buy and ride to work or play ..

Started watching this channel after my first bike, back in 2017. It was a Honda Rebel 500. I said to myself, "my next bike will be a Harley" went to my local dealer in 2020, and picked up a softail standard. It now has cobra neighbor haters, and a softail slim tank. (black denim paint) The way my bike looks, is unique. Nobody has how my bike looks like, and that is why Harley Davidson is number one in my book. You make it your own. Even though i got the 107, its still enough to carry bags, and a very pretty lady. ;)

Love mine. 4 months in and no complaints at all. Excellent braking force, totally on point. Any more brake and it's overkill for fast road riding. Forks are beautifully calibrated, well sorted chassis, everything is buttoned down and tight as a drum. A beautifully engineered bike. Advantages of a single rotor/caliper is the lower unsprung weight, improving performance and handling further. A set of stickier tires and it will absolutely rail and keep with just about anything on the road. A great all-round power cruiser. A full system exhaust and stage 1 and don't touch the rest. It's a back to basics simple, raw motorcycle, and that appeals to the uncomplicated buyer that wants it that way.

They change the look of the bike and are uncomfortable. Harley should talk to lepara or saddlemen on how to make a comfortable seat. You need a seat with back support. Because that motor has so much torque. It literally will push you off that factory seat.

I do appreciate your information and I think you did a great job with the overview of the bike however putting a 114 in a bike with a 3.5 gallon tank was ridiculous by Harley. This is not your fault but overall I do feel the slim is the better barber with classic look and should have a 114 in it and I soon will. You are 100% correct that a bike with that type of power should have dual disc brakes it should actually be standard on the Slim by now

    Hey guys nice review.
As an owner of a 19’ Streetbob I have to say ur underselling this bikes long range capability. With the steep price changes for the Heritage or even worse street glide price... this bobber can have quick detach saddle bags plus windscreen n two up comfy hammock seat for about $1500
Now that will destroy the bobber look but it gets ya from Detroit to Sturgis without issue. All of it can be changed out in 5 minutes. These are the most versatile bikes Harley makes and I’ve yet to see a salesman who knew it. Just sayin. I did the iron butt last year and only got sore for my shoulder having no cruise. But that’s been fixed for $12 now too lol

Traded in my 2019 Roadster for the 114 FXBBS.
....after being able to ride 4 bikes,
    2017 Yamaha R6
    2019 BMW S1000RR
    2019 Roadster 1200
...this is the bike for me.
It has plenty of low end torque @3000 RPM
it’s got the comfortability for a long ride IF you get a 2 up seat 😂😂🤣 (wished the tank was at least 4.5 gallons but oh well carry a gas can w/you) 😂
And that M8 motor is just smoooth!
Can be dipped into corners real well, brakes well. As usual, rear brake is pretty..ass. LOL
Overall, it fits me and my riding style.
I can cruise with it, I can haul ass, and you can pimp it out and make your own.
    Love it.

Great Video ……. You guys nailed it on the different characteristics of the Street Bob vs the Lowrider S.
There’s definitely some confusion out there as to what Dual Disc front brakes actually do, and you did a great job at breaking it down .
I went with the Street Bob…. Harley killed it with that bike man. I can’t get over how good this bike looks right out of the box-
THEN they threw the 114 M-8 in the Street Bob. I HAD to buy this bike….
I always really liked the look of Bobbers but I was doing a-lot of Track stuff so that’s pretty much where my focus was .
I’ve been riding mostly Italian bikes for 25+ yrs. ( with a few Triumphs thrown in for variety 🤔 ) , but that 114 motor in the Softail frame made me jump.
That bike has GOT to be a Torque F**kin Animal 👿
Bought it in the winter 🥶 ❄️ . Didn’t Test Ride it - Didn’t Need To.
I knew what it looked like before I went in , sat on it, decided it was more comfortable than anything I’ve ever owned, and bought it 🤷🏻‍♂️.
I checked out the Low Rider S for a minute also…..
For me it came down to looks ( and this Bike is F**kin Beautiful ), and what I wanted it for …
I bought a Harley Street Bob to Cruise - I’ll keep the Ducati for the track / canyon carving.
I don’t know though - once I start riding the Harley I’m not gonna want to go back to
riding in a full-tuck position …. That S**t’s starting to hurt me man ❗️
    Later Boy’s Great🤘 Video 🤘❕❕❕❕❕
