Why did you blend the left side fender but you did not blend the right side door and you should have put adhesion Promoter on the headlights because if you don't they will peel down the road
If the primer was all the same color why was the fender darker?
The primer was the same color as the car and I just tried to blend into it. Typically the more layers of paint you put on the darker the color gets.
Kar Kraftsman cool thx for the info and I appreciate the response. Is the black widow a good first gun for base and clear? I’ve never painted with a hvlp before.
@@damienmikkelsen6056 if you're only going to use it a couple times a year speanding the big bucks isn't worth it. The spectrum paint guns should work just fine for what you want.
Can you tell us the size of the tip?thank you, good job.
This is the 1.3 tip spraying at 28lbs for base and just over 30lbs for clear.
To Kar Kraftsman ....u did good and don't be so hard on urself. It takes years of practice to try and make it to a Chip foose level. It was a cheap car anyway.
i dont know what i did wrong but i used the black widow sprayer on my hood and got a lot of orange peel maybe it was the paint
There’s a ding on the hood 😄
Im better at bodywork than painting a whole car, tho ive done about 3.
Im going to get back at it.
Youve done what i call "cheater style" lol .. which is
.. paint a section at a time. This is what i plan todo.. so i can have the whole car really wet when im done. The problem ive had was overspray dulling the previous sections. So ive planned to do it sections and let them fully dry for days even, b4 i do the next lol. Amateur-ish, i know.. but im sure i can get a really wet paint in the end.
What's the part number for the adapter for the 2.0 pps?
do you like the HTE over the HVLP? I am looking for just spraying clear
The 1.3 tip is what you want. Works great
