Seeing you're video's over 2 years and last month I sprayed my car. Don't over think it. it's just paint. It was my motivation to do it. Thanks a lot.
Thank you!
Its all about the prep and finish.
Did the same on my third project now
Awesome work.. straight glass finish without a buff that's all of our goals at the end of every job.
I have the euro spray gun it's pretty decent. As long as it's clean after every job, it will work great for a long time.. well done, maybe in a few more weeks, I will start my shop for the booth.
I recently became an automotive painter at a body shop in Portland Maine, without having any prior schooling or training. Had a unique opportunity to learn from a body tech who used to be a painter and be fast tracked to take over as the sole full time painter for our shop in February . I have to say that without your videos and constant rewatches of them I would not be where I am already. You’re amazing for helping the enthusiast and the young people in the industry.
Throw him some bucks!!
There is any vaccancy bro❤
My daughter is getting ready for auto collision repair at our local tech school. I told her to start watching your channel.
Great job and great advice. I am a retired painter and it’s nice to see someone doing it right. I see so many “painters “ doing things the wrong way on CZcams. You’re not that guy!
Curious on psi as well
I just painted my first black car since I did a complete respray on a brand new Mercury Cougar for a dealership back in the early 80's that came in with acid rain damage. Thanks to your channel I laid a super smooth finish. As for the Cougar...well ford set the bar pretty low back then so no comment.
Found you a few months ago. I cannot say thank you enough. You have lined out all the info needed to pull off fantastic results for a confident novience. Cheers!!
Great to hear!
I'm always amazed to see clear coat being sprayed on that heavily and not running at all
Yes I’m amazed also in Montana you can’t get away with that unless you wait for summer without a spray booth.
Prep and. Patients is the key,45 years in the repair business and those are 2 things that are the the hardest to practice,!!!!!,great video!!!!
This and Kandy Man have the most informative painting channels on CZcams, imo.
Kandy man has tons of knowledge in this field so I am always watching his videos.
THANKS FOR THE NEW VIDEO, DV1,BEAUTIFUL GUN❤
I have been watching Paint Society for over a year and the lessons, tips, product reviews, gave me the confidence to do more. So I just painted my 1st full car in urethane base/clear last week. But I really learn a lot by doing it; like watching a video on how to swim you, learn by getting into the water!
But it would I would have never jumped into the water in the first place without Paint Society's videos. (and BTW the job came out OK, Not good-- not bad-- but much better than how the car looked before.)
This channel helped me to take my skill to the next level. Amma teach my son everything I learned from here
Amma?
I always pickup new tips from you. Thank you...
Always learn something from your videos Brian. Couple of weeks will be shooting paint on my truck.
Thanx brian, with yo knowledge ,i think am a pro now here in Uganda. Its don't over think it's just painting. Paint society
This turned out so nice Thanks for sharing.
Great job Brien. I learn something new every time I watch one of your videos. Thank you.
Thanks Brian love learning with you!
Great training, as always. Thanks!
Big thanks as always!!! Always helpful 🎉
Hey brother man I love your videos an they help me out a lot I’m just starting to paint for my shop and you’re really my only teacher lol
Thank you Brian! I have leaned a ton of knowledge and great tips from you! Keep up the great work man!
Awesome job mate it looks so mint Thank you!!!!
WHAT a paint job!!
Thanks for tips was a big help!
Awesome job I'm learning more and more with every episode
Brian one of the best take aways for me on this vid is not to freak out spraying base when you see some sand scratches. I’m used to single stage and it covers a lot of sins! I’m breaking my truck into sections and on the first one I freaked out stopped the show and wet sanded my hood after two coats of base then came back the next day applied a third and coat then two coats of clear. My hood did come out like glass very excited! I set up my pro lite with a 1.2 and T110 cap. Thank you for your knowledge!
Another great video Brian! Thank you
Hey Brian. Great job. It’s all in the prep. That finish is so slick. Cheers
Thanks for all your info!
Thanks for making this video. I’m fixing to shot some black paint myself. I will definitely use the tips you provided.
You already know i needed this one!💯
I'm old school (siphon gun) use a Binx #7 . Been soaking up all the info I can get from you on every video you post on shooting with gravity fed guns. To me you are the GOAT! Thank you.
Nothing wrong with old school. Those old Binks and Sharpe spay guns turned out plenty of fantastic paint jobs. I have adapted to the new stuff and it is nice. But paint is still only as good as what is under it.
Very nice job. I really like the detail you put into your videos. I’ve only been watching for about two months now but I have already seen a couple of things that I need to improve on and one you mentioned in this video is patience 🤷🏼♂️. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us. It really does help
Beautiful job love your channel
Love it thank you so much for this video ❤
Brilliant advice and a fantastic video!
Your videos helped me get where I am today! Thank you so much!!
Beautiful I like it good job
been watching for sometime now looking to paint my own truck with your tips thanks
you always make it look so easy!
thanks for having these great videos, you explain everything great, fixing to paint my 95 GMC truck and if it turns out good then my 2008 Saturn Sky
Nice job!!
Awsome work mate
Thanks for your content. It is very helpful.
wow those guns are amazing brother
great job and great info
Nice job!
Love ya bro, thank you so much for your advice.
“Having a spray booth does not grant you the right to think you’re gonna have a clean job” I wish that was plastered on billboards across America.. definitely top 3 misconceptions about painting
Im new to automotive painting love your videos
Great info.. Thank you for the vid
Another nice job Brian!
That thing turned into a mirror! Great job!
Came out like glass brotha 🔥🔥
Congrats on the new baby.
Your son was just born and your back to posting great videos? Dude.... You're incredible!!!
He has been so good that i had some down time to post 😇
You mean you didn’t get the 90 days off to bond with him ? Lol
He didn't give birth.
Nice work brain. Car looks like factory.😊 I paint in a garage. I wish my work turned out like finish.
Amazing painter love your channel brother, would love to no more about your journey as a painter brother, I’m a apprentice in Australia just trying to make it, haven’t got my chance to really work at a good shop with a good tradesman until recently I moved to a shop now I’m getting a chance to paint more, but my problem is I either spray dry or to wet and get runs, happy I found your channel sir and I am learning so much from your wealth of knowledge once again thank you you are appreciated
Great job show room clean
Great job. I wish I could get a job out like that without any dirt, especially black.
Learning I lot about it 👍
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR MASTER CLASS IN THIS VIDEO, I AM LEARNING FROM YOUR EXPERIENCES AND GUIDANCE. GREETINGS FROM LIMA PERU
wow nice good job
Love your channel, I have been watching you for a long time. I’m 💯 percent veteran and now that I had both of my leg surgery and getting better can’t wait to buy a spray gun and try doing it myself as a hobby. At 62 and always wanted to learn it and now getting strong can’t wait. I hope , I can get some advice on what I need for a setup. Thank you for your videos.
Good job 👏
I’m doing a restoration job which includes complete bar metal and epoxy primer the car. Im wanting to do base and clear on the panels but could I use single stage in the door jambs and areas not seen as much. Underside of trunk and hood etc.
This is amazing !
Ty my friend!
I just painted some trim for my cabinets in my garage full of sawdust and drywall dust using a plastic $50 paint gun/compressor powered by a motor that sounds like a cheap vacuum and it came out great.
Great work and Tips Brian love the work as I always say prep prep &clean before paint.Cheers from Phil in Sydney hope one day I might be lucky and win that gun cheers to your new baby again.
Love my DV1-B Basecoat gun. No gun out there lays metallics or pearls like the DV1-B. Tell you another really awsome gun that does almost as good at base but does better than the DV1-C clear gun at clear is that Ani 200 Black Skull Edition i have been playing wìth that comes with digital manometer guage and 3 air caps, one for clear, a WB for base, and an hvlp cap. Brilliant spray gun
I would love one of those spray guns. I use my devilbiss tekna base coat for everything.
Love that gun. It would be hard pick between that and the old skool. But i love that design
Nice education video for diy
Brian dude you’ve been such an inspiration to me and I’m sure a lot of others you’ve tought me so much over the last year and something that I’ve been watching your videos your a great painter and a great teacher love your vids 💪🏼👍 oh and quick question I heard u mention something about giving away some of those paint guns what do we have to do to get one of those paint guns is there something we need to do to get one ??
Good gravy.. I need to seriously invest in a decent gun. I think I've gotten carpal tunnel from sanding all the orange peel from this fricken rustoleum turbo. Tried to go the cheep route, now paying for it. Literally and physically. Thank you for all your videos. Informative and humbling...
I have used your tips painting my honda 🤙
Good morning Brian
Congratulations on your Son.
Been watching your channel for awhile. Paint my first job metal fence post s. I used a 3m gun that a buddy gave. Super easy to clean just like you said.
I bought the Astro gun you recommended. Will use it to paint a Cj-5 jeep I have.
You should do a vidoe on how to help keep work cleaner in a cross draft booth om sparying in one and im having some work come out dirty but at my last shop i sprayed in a down draft booth and rarely had dirt problems
I over thank it😅 but I was still able to get my car painted thanks to your videos 👍
Hello Brian! Was wondering if a gallon of primer, gallon of base, and gallon of clear is enough to paint my 2005 honda civic coupe. Thanks for your videos they really help me.
So I own a Devilbiss Tekna Pro Lite. Spraying clear and base with trigger depressed what should base and clear be roughly at for psi? Also i noticed when you were setting gun up for clear you pulled trigger all the way back and then turned knob in till it just started to advance trigger and stopped there. Do u fully pull trigger all the way open when spraying clear with the optimal psi. Love your videos! So much valuable information. Keep it up!
Great technique. Its only paint. I cant get my head around spraying my 69 bug dark bright teal with the fenders on. Whats the chances the metallic 16:38 might match after all?
What was the trick with gun setting, paint mix ratio or application process.for that ultra glass finish off the gun. What thinner % do you use compared to TDS on the clear coat? Great channel by the way. Thank you.
Hi Brian, what ratios did you mix the clear at? Did you thin it a bit more than 10%?
Hi like the video, what kid of mask (respirator) are you using? Best regards Zoran
You are my school master Brian, your videos have been a tremendous help eversince I started spraying. How do I benefit from one of those demo guns though? Keep up the excellent work bro, it's really a blessing watching your videos.
Do you use solvent paint? We use waterborne Axalta and we pretty much put the base on in one heavy coat.
THANKS.....
Thanks for showing us how to set up the guns. always wanted to learn how. blind in one eye.
What do you think about those Luma lights? They go on your spraygun .I thank that’s what they call it.
Looks good . No Fish eyes
Love your videos. 2 questions, how would you go about dealing with nibs on a metallic or pearl paint? Sand it and spray another coat of base over it or..? Also, just as a super rough idea, what would you charge to respray a 2006 Subaru STi in factory World Rally Blue Mica (Code 02C)? I'm considering it and wondering a ballpark figure that I would be looking at. Thanks in advance!
Very nice
What psi for clear with this gun man? Is tat ls400?
Damn that galaxy spray gun is wicked!
I have been watching this channel for a few months Now. N finally feeling like I wanna comment and share some if my experiences. I have been using some of ur trick and they have been working great.
I see you have so many paint guns. I am getting started n I have 2. A base n clear. 😢I'd love to have that many guns to shoot with. 😊
Thanks you
Hey great video as always. Wondering what set up you used on the WS400?
Hey Brian, what clearcoat are you using? i see you listed links for some of the products you use but none of the paint items.
the green flooring in your booth you wetted with something ? the green stuff you called pig mat ? where do i get it
That’s a sweet paint job there! Really liked how that clear laid nice and flat n shiny. Could you please let me know what primer, paint, and clear guns you would recommend? I have done a bit of shooting paint back years ago. Kind of out of touch with the good stuff is anymore. I have a black Chevy truck that needs total fresh job. Also have a street bike that I want to do a candy red on. Awesome vids on your channel dude!
I use iwata ws400 1.3 clear also I need 3.2 bar for air pressure?coz I can’t get mirror results
