Another thin to check is the size of your fluid tip most clear coats spray using a 1.3 some a 1.2 but in cooler climates (I an in the UK with no booth) my clear coat always got runs because the guns fluid tip was a 1.4 to much fluid on the first coat and it ran boy did it run Hs clear and a 1.3 tip now no more problems.

It's not clear for step 3, it's blending additive, it's a transparent layer that makes it so you have one complete layer instead of paint just over primer and sealer that leaves a dry edge, the dry edge shows up after it's clear coated and at most shops would be a job do over, blending additive makes it's a smooth wet transition

Hey Mr. Brian, I’ve got a question that I can’t get a straight answer for.
I’m spraying an Eastwood dtm epoxy primer and it says you can recoat within 4 or 5 days. I sprayed it and was going to go over with a 2k after an hour and a half but it’s still a little tacky so decided I’ll wait 24 hours. My question is do I need to clean the epoxy primed panels when I prime tomorrow or just tack rag it??

How do you hold the trigger at the middle? Can you just adjust the spray gun fluid knob and take note of how many turns from wide open and/or from full closed. Most spray guns are about 5 turns from full closed to wide open. So there is 5 turns of adjustment.

Im from uk and dont know what sealer is but want to use it in my jobs. Is sealer just the same as wet on wet primer? To me it looks like it is. Over here in uk there’s no such thing as sealer but it does look like wet on wet primer which can be bought. Over here, it is 1 of 2 things. It is just an actual specific product you can buy, OR, it’s basically just overthinned over reduced high build primer (but that’s not as good as buying an actual wet on wet primer).
