@@HibeeMcbee I understand and agree with that message but teaching her to be proud of it might fortify her towards likely future discrimination - children without this kind of support are more prone to bullying. Transcending identification with race might be a bit beyond the scope of reasonable here.

Why did that kid hate Rainn so much 😭😭 also Ameena and Avery are so confident and cute, I loved when Ameena listed the things that make her happy and included her skin, her parents are doing a great job ♥️
He’s not very good with the kids. Something about his demeanor is just too harsh? edgy? for small children. Can’t quite put my finger on it, but I couldn’t tell if he was being intentionally off.
He tried to talk to the kids as if they were adults. It's the worse thing we can do.
@@annesophiejp I'm not a parent but I've read a whole lot about how talking to kids like adults is literally the best thing you can do for their development in many capacities?
@@geegeezlouis86 Talking to them like adults is what Julian does, and it’s why he’s so successful and the children respond to him. Treating them like actual adults, with angry cynicism and weird shouted jokes about Santa hating the poor, is not always appropriate.
@@angry-lucky-catty he doesn't talk to them like adults, he listens to them as he would adults and gives them validation, but he knows how to talk to kids. There's a difference.
And yes, I agree, about the last things you said. His comments were just weird to tell to kids.

I love this. I think it’s so important for parents to NOT shield their children from all “bad” things. This is how they learn to problem-solve, figure out how to make decisions, and gratitude.
