We start the video by walking through everything we got with our Dyson V11 Outsize including the cordless vacuum itself, the tools and attachments, and the documentation. We also describe the two current models of Outsize - the "Outsize" and the "Outsize Origin".
We show how the new "click-in" batteries work and how they can be charged while installed or separately.
We like that the unit has sensors that detect brushroll resistance and increase power on carpet and decrease power on bare flooring. We show the vacuum transitioning from carpet to tile flooring and back and you can hear the power adjust automatically. This only works in AUTO power mode.
We provide a table of power output in air watts for the V11 Outsize, all other V11's, and all V10's. Power output is shown for all three power modes (Low/Med/Max).
We test the Outsize run time and compare it to the run time of all other V11's and the V10 Absolute and V10 Animal. We discuss how the two batteries provided with the Outsize provide almost an hour and a half of continuous vacuuming in AUTO power mode.
The LCD interface is the same as that on the V11 Torque Drive and the V11 Absolute. We walk through some of its features including the remaining run time in real time (it counts down in minutes and seconds as you vacuum). We show this at work.
We highlight the high level of filtration in the unit. It has a HEPA filter and a sealed system which is a very good combination of features if you want properly filtered air.
We compare the dust canister size of the V11 Outsize, the other V11's, the V10's, and even the V8. The Outsize dust canister is much larger and is designed for large area cleaning - you don't have to empty the unit too frequently.
We show the Outsize cleaner head and how it is much larger than any other Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner head. Also, there is a new and easier way to remove the brushroll for cleaning.
We walk through the different tools you get with the Outsize and we show how the wand storage clip can be used to carry two tools with you while you vacuum. In addition, the "click-on" approach of attaching the tools (as opposed to friction fit) is discussed.
We highlight why this is a great machine for large area cleaning and we also highlight why this might be overkill if you have a smaller home to clean.
We show one forward pass of the Outsize over debris on low pile carpet and one forward pass over debris on a tile floor - to give an idea of cleaning performance on these two surfaces.

Glad they added the battery system, but I feel like the attachments look ridiculous because the canister is so big lol

Also for that price point they should include the fluffy head and the rug head.

In Australia we get the fluffy head - but not the 2nd battery. I’d be happier with the 2nd battery as the normal head is so good.

Dyson had this remove battery system on earlier handhelds like the dc35 but got rid of it when complaints were made about the motor cutting out due to the battery contacts getting dirty disrupting the connection

In Australia, the Outsize versions only come with 1 battery but do come with the fluffy head cleaner. I got the Outsize Pro which comes with everything and I ordered a 2nd battery as well.

@@tiddlesa.6125 Yes, very happy. It is a little heavy yes, but with the additional power and capacity, I am fine with it. I'd use it with 2 hands most times, like holding a rifile :).

You can now get the standard v11 with the swappable battery system here in the uk which then also comes with the bare floor fluffy head which I think would be more that suitable for most people

I would really love this machine, I just worried about how heavy it would be for me. I came across your video because I’m looking to buy a cordless vacuum but after some health issues the canister cannot be to heavy for me.

I just bought the Outsize. I am age 65 and it is tiring especially if you use + suction on the floor tool. This is Day 1 so I am undecided so far.

I currently have a V8 Absolute which does an excellent job, but am currently looking into the V11 Outsize for the extra wide cleaning head, auto power mode, and battery swapping capability (we have a home that requires at least two charge cycles to get every room done on low power mode). Since you have access to most of the recent Dyson stick vacuums, is it possible for one to use the fluffy head from the V8 series on the V11? I imagine the power draw is comparable and therefore shouldn’t be an issue, but I don’t want to inadvertently blow up my fluffy head attachment without knowing for certain that I could use it with this newer model. Thanks for the review!

Follow up - I’ve since received the V11 Outsize. Couldn’t be happier. I had vacuumed yesterday with the V8, and this guy picked up a tremendous amount of additional dirt from my carpet and hard floors on Auto/Med mode (on one charge with time to spare).
And yes, the soft roller cleaner head from the V8 works fine with this newest unit. Well worth the extra money I paid. 👍

@kippis05 I've heard that u shouldn't use the fluffy head from the v8 onto the v10 and above because they have different watt ratings that can mess up the electronics eventually

Dyson advocated for Brexit... then moved to Singapore bypassing issues created by Brexit. I cannot in good conscious buy a Dyson vacuum.
