  • Should you buy the V11 or the V10? In this video we compare the Dyson V10 to the Dyson V11, and highlight all the differences. See the Dyson V11 on Amazon: amzn.to/3d75gMT
    NOTE: Dyson provided us with these vacuums for review. Read our written review of the V10 vs V11: vacuum-cleaner-advisor.com/Dy...
    In this video we walk through all the different V10 and V11 models: V10 Absolute, V10 Animal, V10 Motorhead, V11 Absolute, V11 Torque Drive, V11 Animal. We show what you get when you buy each model. We walk through the different controls between the V10 and the V11 (and also highlight the V11 LCD control panel). We discuss the three different power modes and also provide a description of what the V11 Auto mode is and show how it works.
    We provide a table of the suction power of each vacuum cleaner and compare the V10 power to the V11 power in each power mode. We discuss the batteries including recharge time and battery specifications.
    We show a table of official V10 and V11 run times then actually test each run time and discuss our test results. A short description of the vacuum’s air filtration capabilities is provided.
    We walk through the dust canister capacities for all 6 vacuum models and show how to empty the canister. In addition, we use a digital noise level meter and test the peak decibel output for the V10 Absolute and the V11 Absolute over a 10 second period.
    We undertake cleaning tests on both carpet (low pile) and bare flooring (tile) using a very carefully measured amount of debris (crushed/powdered cheerios, chili flakes, flax seeds, split green peas). Percentage pickup is calculated and discussed for the V11 Absolute and the V10 Absolute in all power modes. Cleaning tests are performed using the V10 Torque Drive cleaner head and the V11 High Torque cleaner head - in all cases the suction slider is set to the middle . An additional test on tile with the soft roller cleaner head is also done.
    Vacuum weights are highlighted, as are vacuum warranties and approximate costs. We sum up by providing a decision making table that helps to determine what we think you should consider buying given your cleaning needs, feature interests, and budget.
    I would also like to point out that I make every effort to be unbiased in my videos. If there is something about a product I do not like - I will let you know!

    Thank you for the informative review. IMHO, I believe the db test should always be done by the ear level on any vacuum since that is where it counts or for consistency result, 3 feet away form the air exhaust fan area. I replaced my V10 to V11 because I simply can't stand the high pitch noise produced by the V10 (I was able to hear it from your video as well) which actually gives me a headache when I was using it and the V11 has a much lower tone like the V8 which is acceptable. I look forward to see the V11 Oversize review as I heard it produce a quitter sound while product more suction when in use and that is worth the upgrade to me (got to protect those ears!).

Hard decision as Costco had the V10 Absolute on sale for $289. Hopefully our V11 last. We have had two higher in Shark corded models that died prematurely and total lack of support from Shark. You have a very soothing voice which makes the video very easy to listen to. Dyson should hire you! Thank you for doing this very informative video. I can see that a lot of time and effort was put into it and I appreciate it greatly. I have a very old stick model. People in reviews seem to complain that Dyson has very poor customer service. I have found that if your Dyson is registered and under warranty, all you have to do is take it to a vacuum repair shop and they will take care of ordering the part for you free of charge. You don't have to deal with Dyson at all.

      This is a change maker. I've now changed my mind and prefer V11. Because V10 only allows to clean at medium power for 20mins then I need to stop cleaning and wait for it to charge (3.5 hours to fully charge), whereas V11 allows 40 mins at same power level and on top of that click in battery allows you to switch to an extra battery. I am gonna go for V11 now, it is pricy but V10 price is not very cheap either.

      @@VacuumAdvisor one battery has suited my house of 2,000 square feet nicely. a lockable trigger would be nice but I have adapted to this way and I don't mind the trigger the way it is. Even longer run times don't seem needed to me. I have NEVER used the battery all the way when fully doing my house top to bottom including attachments for the couch and blinds. I also vacuum a full sweep once a day and quick spots about 30x with kids and pets. I HAD a roomba and many other canisters and this v8 has been my number one now for a bit. I do hate that when I am away from the base I have to set the whole thing down low or it will fall over if i lean it against the washer. I also wish it had little head lights on the front for seeing under dark couches or beds. I had a cheaper stick electrolux that could self stand AND had little lights. I miss that BUT I feel it was cheaply made and didn't have the power of the v8. Dyson is doing good things for vacuums and I am keeping an eye on their next products and your channel as well! new sub!

      Cathy my roombas vacuum and mop several times throughout the week.
      Upstairs carpet 980 roomba lasts a week vacuuming every other day before I need to empty the bin.
      Downstairs s9 hasn’t been touched in a month, cause the cleanbase works so well, and vacuums every morning. Zero carpet downstairs.
      And the M6 mops twice a week so I don’t have to swap the mop head or refill the tank but once a week.
      I cannot adequately represent how clean my floors are every day. It’s like I have cleaning staff. Really cuts down on maintenance and allergies.
      I’m looking to get a cordless for my car, stairs, and random spider webs.
      I want to get another s9+ roomba for upstairs, but carpet doesn’t show dirt like hard wood flooring and and the price is too steep to replace my trusty 980.

    • @KTMcaptain
      @KTMcaptain Před 4 lety

      Alexander I have the v10 absolute... the fluffy roller won’t do much on the carpet outside picking up large debris. You need brushes to agitate the dirt out of the carpet.
      I’d like to see a dual brush head like roombas have because they’re so good on multiple surfaces with fairly weak suction.

    Still have the Dyson v8 animal and its still running perfectly. Best money ever spent.

    I have a cleaning company and would like to have replaceable battery for v11. Does it make sense to replace battery continuously or would this be unwise?

    Is the V11 a replacement for a corded vacuum cleaner? I have my doubts about the lifetime of the battery. What about the Samsung Jet 75?

    Have watched a lot of your videos and they are excellent and very informative and helped me a lot in choosing a Dyson. I have noticed though despite the versions as time goes by have stronger suction power their pick up results in your tests do not get any better. For example the v7 has better pick up results than the v11 in your tests. In Britain you can get the v7 total clean (basically the absolute) for £199 direct from Dyson compared to £550 for the v11. Hence I went for the v7.

    I would recommend editing the vacuum noise down. Just when you turn the vacuum on make it quieter.

    So here’s my ultimate question, would you buy a cordless wand (Ex V11 absolute) instead of a Dyson plug in unit. Otherwise stated, ONLY use the cordless for all vacuuming??

    • @avgjoegat8126
      @avgjoegat8126 Před 4 lety

      Since the V11 was developed Dyson decided to no longer develop new corded models. The V11’s performance is as good as the uprights. The variable suction when set to auto means you won’t need the hard floor head which is why there is no absolute model in the V11 range

    • @sfskater456
      @sfskater456 Před 4 lety

      Yeah, I know they said they aren’t going to develop new corded models, plus I still use the “fluffy” head with my V8 absolute

    My v11 battery is not working properly and I have only had it 7 months. I have cleaned out every part of vacuum (v11 torque drive) and cked everything .
    It stays on for like 30-60 secs and then dies over and over… Do you have any reccomendations?

    My home wall-socket is 220v , can I recharge the dyson v11 battery with 220v without burning up the battery ?
    I need your help please 🙏🏼

    • @richardgray8593
      @richardgray8593 Před 3 lety

      Look at the plug. If it fits your 220V outlet, then it's made for 220V. If not, then you need a transformer.
