This game is a dream comes true for every Star Wars / Mass Effect fans. Total freedom in a big galaxy, going where you want when you want. This game has the potential to become one of the most popular game of this decade
It won't be able to top mass effect unless the story aspect is very, very tight. Bethesda isn't great at the actual RPG part so we'll see, I guess.
@@Hawk7886 it can top mass effect in different aspects. with mass effect, once you finish the story, it's done, however bethesda games, at least since skyrim are more sandbox rpg so you have way more gameplay options even after you're done with the main story
@@666FallenShadow mass effect had an absolutely bonkers amount of side quests you could play with. The biggest difference between the two would be mod support. With Skyrim and Fallout, there are overhaul mods that completely change the game.
Too bad you'll be disappointed....AGAIN! But some fans never learn. looks like you've already forgotten the stench that BETHESDA left few years ago.

1:06 as soon as the fallout 76 box appears the scene cuts. Good job editor 👍
I noticed that too 😂😂
That's why I'm hoping this isn't going to be a disaster of a launch. 76 was a mess
@@CustardCream22 Fortunately, the studio making Starfield is different than those who made 76. Pretty sure 76 was created just as a money pump for Bethesda. Not a lot of love went into that game. I'm fairly optimistic for this game, as it's their biggest release of a main game since Fallout 4, which came out 8 years ago. Most of their time and resources have gone into this game since then, with a fair chunk going towards ES6 too. Gonna have its bugs at launch, but it'll be similar as to when Fallout 4 and Skyrim were released.
@@titicus2778 We'll see.
@Titicus Considering the very first trailer had a guy with his head on backwards. I think we know it'll mostly function with Bethesda feature bugs and it'll randomly snap under its own weight at times that you need to go back potentially hours to have it load correctly this time.
I ain't getting it at launch but we all know thousands of people will and be shocked another Bethesda game is unacceptably buggy. While we save our money and wait for the mods that come out within weeks of release that fix 60% of the problems
the fact that they show the devs having fun with it is very reassuring. they're really covering a lot of different playstyles.

Like everyone else said, if they pull this off and by what i have seen so far they will. This is quite literally a game changer. This is the most excited I have ever been for a game in 30 years.
not a game changer, it's literally No Man's Sky updated. Game Devs tend to copy the templates of other games and call it "unique." Sadly this is the state that the industry is in currently. e.g. Fortnite dropped (everyone created battle royale games), Destiny dropped with new way to use UI (User Interface)...see circle reticle usage as selecting tool for UI. It's a "thing" for everything tbh. Even in music...one person drops a trap song...next thing you know, ya got Beyonce doing a trap song. Smh.😅
@@iCreativeMind True. I thought this game looked familiar. I'm much more of a retro gamer so I didn't know the other game by name (No Man's Sky). We have some pretty strict limits for what we can do in gaming though. It was 2D and 3D for decades now. There won't be real evolution until VR headsets get a lot smaller! ie light glasses.
@iCreativeMind this game is extremely different from no man's sky, they have similar fundamentals, but the gameplay and content is radically different
@@iCreativeMind "Fortnite dropped" - that's a funny way to spell PUBG.
The one thing I do like in this deep dive, that the combat seems to no longer have super bullet-spongey enemies like the first reveal. That's a big point for me personally.
Well I suspect that will still be the case since it level based like fallout was. Otherwise combat would be too easy. There has to be a little sponginess
Of course it will have bullet sponges, it's a Bethesda game. Thankfully, the modders will fix that in like 3 days anyway.
I’m assuming they were playing on the easiest difficulty but if it does get too spongy you already know there’s gonna be some huge damage overhaul that adds like bleeding and broken limbs made my some modders
It now looks like easy mode, something that bored me with no mans sky until the ramped up the difficulty years later. The first mod I make will probably be a combat difficulty one. I've gotten too used to combat overhaul in skyrim and cant imagine playing without amped up enemies that fight as aggressively as I do.
People already complaining lol. Fkn internet man
This game is everything I’ve ever dreamed from a space game, yet also feels somewhat almost too good to be true. Please don’t let us down like soo many games that have come before.
The only thing missing for me is co-op.
I know co-op is blasphemy in a single player game. But, since the story is only 1 aspect of the game, as they keep saying, it'd be nice to be able to explore this vast universe with a few drop-in/drop-out friends.
NMS already proved that galaxy exploration is better with friends, after they added co-op in the game after launch.
@@MyZ001I doubt they would ever work on multiplayer again for their games after 76 but that doesn’t mean modders can’t do it they already did it too Skyrim and the creation tools are supposed to be better than skyrims
It's a Bethesda game. Of course it's too good to be true. Temper your expectations.

i think bethesda is truly on to something special here. it looks every bit of what they wanted it to be, and that is a great sign. everything from the design to the worlds, the space combat, the gunplay, the story, everything looks incredible. i can see myself being fully immersed for hours on end just exploring every nook and cranny. This looks great but the frame rate and amount of nearly empty worlds definitely worries me. This gameplay overview did a great job of establishing the atmosphere and in depth customization but I feel like it lacked details about the gameplay systems. Character customization- great. Ship customization- great. Gun play- great. Base building- great. But what about the contents of a mission. What will I BE doing during the runtime? Not to say that they didn’t touch on these things, but I don’t feel a sense of cohesion between the vast amounts of planets and the contents within them. I am satisfied with the overview but also slightly worried. Does anyone else feel this way?
This is going to be more of a sandbox experience like fo2 . Cycled scenarios.
That gun play was looking sketchy.
Yes, I feel nearly the same way as well. I'd actually add that while they showed a good variety of things to customise for example, there only seemed to be a very limited number of things to do within the customisation itself, if that makes sense. Ships were looking fun to do and is a great feature overall, for example, but I didn't actually see many different ship parts to choose from. I also felt like that applies to the rest; the worlds seemed like there were loads, but in the end how different are they in terms of how they play or even feel and look? Animals, I felt like I already saw a lot of repetition with slight, rather meaningless, variation in this video alone. The characters and writing/voice acting felt more like 2010 than current era. It also appears you just select areas to land to by fast travel and can't fly around the planets? Is that correct?
To be clear, I'm still cautiously optimistic, and all of the above can turn out pointless worries. The old feel of characters and their lines will also mean little if the overall experience with them is in depth, varied, and meaningful.

Aye, imagine if they would have let you fly it in the atmosphere.
The space combat looks lame. You can't fly between planets so there's even less reason to be on your ship. Space travel boils down to glorified loading screens. Boarding enemy ships is just a loading screen. I don't know what people are so impressed with honestly.

@@Krain420 You can't do any of those things
@@snaker9er wishful thinking my guy. Wait until the modders then maybe.
@@Krain420 Wishful thinking is hoping modders can let us pilot our ship from planet to orbit
*Javik will remember that*
The combat looks SO much better
Agreed, I just wish the xp pop up didn't obscure the view as much
Lol I said the same thing. So much smoother than what they showed before
@Dazpowder right. They gotta have an option to turn that off maybe. Like cyberpunk.
@@Dazpowder.1754 Don't worry. If there isn't an option, there will be a mod for that :)
💯
This game is looking so awesome. Great job guys. Realy believe you can live up to expectations when the game launches!!!
This is so sick. You all had me with space cowboys
This is definitely a game Ive been waiting for. Bethesda please don’t drop the ball on this one..
It's Bethesda, let's not get our hopes too high already
@@ninjastar4076 They made skyrim one of the best games ever made and fallout 76 one of the worst. Been making this game for 20 years. I think it's safe to say now even if it's buggy af at launch this is game of the year 100%
They will
@@Ketchup_and_Mustard373 it's not even out yet
@@ninjastar4076 yeah it’s Bethesda a constant rpg company that has the greatest rpgs in gaming history and StarField will be the next on that list as greatness
Starfield on PC is gonna be insane. I hope devs from the obsidian team were some leads on design.
the ship building looks AMAZING
I loved fiddeling with the pips in Elite Dangerous. Makes space flight more interesting. It will be interesting to see how much of the cockpit that will be more than just a visual effect.
I've been so skeptical but after seeing it in action I'm so excited to get my hands on this. Imagine the potential once the modding scene for this gets going!
