Actually, Xiaomi is planning to release 3 new e-scooters this year. The 1st Xiaomi e-scooter called the "1S" (a refreshed version of the M365) is pegged to be released this year, the 2nd called "Lite" (possibly a cheaper version of the 1S) may also be released this year, and lastly the successor the the M365 Pro called the "Pro 2" is scheduled to be announced this year or in CES 2021. @@gtone339 Xiaomi need to up their game for the money being asked. More power with light suspension would be a vast improvement. Also fix the common complaints; Rubbish charging port cover, loose folding mechanism after prolonged use and rubber covers that vanish in the blink of an eye.

1. What about BMS? In xiaomi ecosystem the BMS communicates with the esc to get information about the battery, would that also work with VESC? If not then how do you plan to monitor battery state?
2. Would G30 MAX motor fit the xiaomi pro frame? It can handle even more amps than Xiaomi pro motor + it has tubeless 10 inch tire.
1. You can disable bms communication in custom firmware
2. Xiaomi has tubeless tires too, but what difference? pump it.

What books would you recommend for learning the basics?
I am self tough , this is best way to learn anything ( I hope xD ) . I would recommend to check some tutorials about: VESC , Arduino C++ , RC Remote controllers ( how it it works ) , brushless motors and hall sensors.
He learnt all of this from taking notes from Xiaomi's rule book! 😉

Hi. I made AWD my M365 but I wonder how can I put two controllers at the bottom. I like yours controllers and can I get them and put instead of original M365 controllers??
2 original controllers can be work better than this project, so the firmware on the m365 board its fully customizable,and you can get the 2 controllers inside plus 20s 3p battery and others.
But how abot arduiino for throttle and break sensitivity??

@@PirateOnCZcams The m365 controller(vesc) has 1 port, to connect to the battery, am asking if there's a vesc that allows you to connect 2 batteries

Vesc got insane regenerative brake, with lots of safety features :)
@@PirateOnCZcams Will it suffer from overheating issues due to it being dual-motors instead of one? Plus, I still rely on mechanical disc/drum brakes instead of e-brakes.

Teoretyzuję, bo nie miałem pro, ale pro po 'odblokowaniu' jest szybsza (32km/h zwykła M365 i podobno 35km/h m365pro) a napięcie jest takie samo to by sugerowało ze silnik z pro ma większe kv... chyba ze z uwagi na mniejsza moc i moment obrotowy M365 'nie daje rady' rozpędzić się do większej prędkości obrotowej... szukałem w necie ale nie znalazłem odpowiedzi.

Pirate to ja mam chyba jakaś inna zwykła, bo moja leci 40 dopiero na pakiecie 15s, może były różne silniki? Mowa o prędkości na drodze z Gps i na standardowym sterowniku.
Chętnie bym zobaczył jak by było na silniku z pro. Chyba ze sterownik ja tak trzyma....

@Pirate dziwne, u mnie na 15s z kołem w powietrzu 45 i koncza się obroty według prędkości z aplikacji, a 41 normanie na prostej z Gps w telefonie.
Jesli kiedyś dostanę w swoje łapy inny silnik czy to z pro czy ze zwykłej to sprawdzę. Ja czytałem waśnie i tak było tez u mnie ze na stockowej bateri i max naładowaniu 32km/h (nawet w powietrzu) a podobno pro na stokowej baterii na jakiś specjalnym sofcie nawet 35. Sprawdzę na mocniejszym sofcie na kumpla M365 ile pojedzie z kołem w powietrzu - może Ty prędzej skończysz swój projekt to będziesz widział sam jak się różnią prędkości obrotowe na tym samym napięciu i pełnym gazie :)
Didnt you mess up the KV of PRO motor and classic? 10:25 is super confusing.
The pro has higher KV and higher max speed and you say the motor with lower KV is more efficient and can do more power .. and you recomend the PRO anyway?
I am trying to find out the true comparisons between the PRO and classic motor and this vide just made it 10x more confusing. So which one has more torque, and which one goes faster?
My classic with RTA does max 32-33kmh and im pretty sure the PRO does 35kmh
Motor with lower KV has more torque but rotates slower, motor with higher KV opposite . Pro got motor with lower KV and magnets are a little bit bigger so overally PRO motor got more power, is more efficient but rotates slower than classic :)
@@PirateOnCZcams But.. the PRO motor IS faster than the classic. No way the classic motor can do 40kmh without 12s mod. The max classic does is 32

Xiaomi might release a refreshed Xiaomi M365 dubbed the "1S" in Q3 2020, which inherits the M365 Pro features such as the LCD screen, black bell, large disc brakes, but the battery life, dimension, and the tyre remains the same! Plus, there's more variants! Another Xiaomi E-scooter dubbed "Lite" version could be a lighter version of the "1S" has been planned to be released this year, and also a successor to the Xiaomi M365 Pro dubbed the Xiaomi Pro 2 will be announced this year as well. Hoping for Xiaomi to make huge upgrades for the Pro 2 over the M365 Pro by adding single/dual-suspension, greater range that the Ninebot Max, slightly different design on the body/stem/mud-flap and LCD-screen, 10" inch tubeless tyres and also greater motor power of 500w!

It's true for lower voltage and current that flipsky can be ok, but the specs they give can't be trusted.
