    I see a lot of comments here asking if you can just connect the 2 controllers into 1 dashboard and I can say.. yes you can.
    BUT
    -You will not be able to see the right data on your dashboard (speed, battery level)
    -Power button functions (turn lights on & off & changing driving modes) may not work correctly
    -You cannot program the controllers together via bluetooth (unless you unplug one of them from the circuit and program the other & repeat with the other controller)
    -IT IS A LOT MORE DANGEROUS AS YOU HAVE MORE CHANCE OF BRICKING ONE (or both) CONTROLLERS WHILE CONNECTING THE PARALLEL CABLES (I bricked 2 original Xiaomi controllers myself)
    I strongly suggest you to spend a little more money & time and get a second dashboard for your second controller.

    • @VRMinde
      @VRMinde  Před 2 lety

      It might survive if you turn off any regen braking and don’t go full throttle for too long (need to monitor the temps a bit). I don’t know where to buy one mate. It would be best to get the v3 controller from the pro 2. They used to sell for around 100 eur though 🙄

  • @qg786
    @qg786 Před 3 lety +4

    Nice upgrades. I think it would be good to have 2 disk brakes (with break levers on each bar) and maybe turn down the regen braking a bit on the front motor.
    Do you think it's worth putting honeycomb tyres on both wheels as the air shock absorbers are taking out the bumbs now?

    • @VRMinde
      @VRMinde  Před 3 lety +2

      I mean if you want the scoot to last - there is definitely a need to reinforce controllers, install higher amp battery, probably then you don’t need to reduce the regen braking 🙄 if there were 2 disk brakes - would be a perfect setup. Just the price of m365 is getting ridiculous :)
      I do not like the honeycomb tires because of how they perform on corners. I don’t trust them :) and these cheap 10” ones with some “slime” sealant run without any punctures for me month after month. I am to stay on air tires, I believe 🙄

      i have full rubber tires with holes. i had them for so long they are starting to wear down, which means ill need to replace them and that may involve cutting them off. they are super rough but the front suspension I got from monorim helps reduce the vibrations. sometimes i worry some bumps might be a little too rough from the front motor but it seems fine, regardless, id say if you where you put in the money to have a smoother ride by buying front suspension then air tires might be better if you want a smooth ride and your streets are relatively clean from glass and nail. even my full rubber wheels had a nail stuck in it. full rubber tires will also wear down you battery faster and reduce your speed. i have even read that it can reduce the life span of you from motor.

    Would it be use full to make two potis on the brake and accelerator lever to adjust the balance between the motors?
    I was planning to Do the same but i stopped on a rwd version because a single tyre has enough grip i rather try to increase the output.
    Did you found a way to extend the battery case? I found a stl for printing spacers to increase the height.
    Do you have a idea how to reinforce the steeringstem? I heard of people having Issues after increasing the output of the Motor by overvolting. The brute force of the acceleration Seems to make the stem wobbly

      @VRMinde  Před 2 lety

      I have the 500w motor but still have not tried it with a decent size and voltage pack. RWD makes sense if you go with aftermarket controller and battery.
      I have a large printer and developed a prototype one-piece extension, I just don’t have enough time to work on all these improvements :)

    • @VRMinde
      @VRMinde  Před 2 lety

      Oh and I have never had any issues with stem and locking mechanism on my m365. There is no way enough force to bend the stem from the accel mate :) you need like 2kw or so, and even then you should have decent feet position to handle the forces and not pull the handlebars. The handlebar AT ALL TIMES needs to be not overstressed so you can continue controlling your scooter (accell and brakes)

    • @johnathankrausrig9237
      @johnathankrausrig9237 Před 2 lety +1

I have the german knockoff of the m365 and in my Community people said that the Controller gets Fried on 12s. So i have no choice than getting a proper controller.
      The acceleration and brake balance was just a idea i probably never get the Chance to try out i was just suggesting it if it interests you to change some variables to see how it effects the scooter but it is definently not a needed Feature at all.

    hi, i would like to run a 2wd using two 350 watt / 36 volt motors (they are clones and not original xiaomi) and using two separate (clone) v3.0 boards reinforced with 100v 1000uf capacitors and IFRB4110 mosfets.
    In your opinion, how much could I squeeze the motors in terms of nominal Watts and peak Watts, in order to have a fair compromise and not overheat them too much and not limit their life?
    I am only interested in having power to climb hills more easily, I absolutely don't care about speed.
    Furthermore, once the wattage of the single motor has been established (for example 750 watts peak), should I have a 36 volt (20A) or 48 volt (15A) battery pack? I don't know if the motors can work at 48 volts.

      Hi,
      It depends, from air temperature, duration of the max watts etc.
      I have used 12s battery pack for years and used 14s pack for a while, no problems with the motor.
      If you can get the power from higher voltage rather than from higher current - do that. It will help with motor heating on those max watts.
      But if you replace ecus, motors, battery, would it not be cheaper to get a 2wd scooter with 2 motors, bigger pack, better brakes, suspension and etc. for a very similar price? :)

      Are the Pro2 series motors (350 watts) capable of resisting?

      That is fine mate, I am literally doing these upgrades more out of a curiosity than a specific need, so it does not matter that much :) but good to know, thanks!

      I completely agree, but in my case it is not the point to make it practical or cost effective. I do not even care about how fast it goes. It is more fun to build and problem-solve around than to drive it mate :)
