  • How to Attach Table Top to Base using Threaded Inserts full tutorial here: bit.ly/2SeFkqd
In this video, I show you how to attach table top to trestle bottom using threaded inserts that easily disassembles. This method works well for farmhouse wood tables without an apron. I also show you how to allow for wood movement when attaching a table top to base and many more woodworking tips.

Thanks for showing us your solution. I may make use of this idea in my modified tusk tenon leg build. I have an old countertop that was built 40 years ago using hardwood flooring that I'm upcycling to be a workbench. At 85" long, it's too long to bring up to my second-floor studio with legs installed on it, so I'm researching ways I can go about attaching the legs which will have stretchers that attach to the legs with modified tusk tenon joinery. Modified because I'll use two wedges instead of one so that I don't need to create an angled mortise. (I don't do much woodworking so this will be easier for me to build.) Cheers!

I'm stealing this concept to attach my poker table top to the base I've built. Thanks for the inspiration! :)
